How can one not love this man! He was a national treasure, kind soul, and educated a nation. Without pressure, arrogance, or elitism, Tony Randall introduced the arts, culture, and etiquette to the nation through his character Felix Unger. Felix (Tony Randall) was a role model as he showed bravery, toughness, and humor without being a brute. Every episode where Felix the Lawyer was present was a joy to watch.
I worked with Tony once… a very funny, charming man… he was a delightful surprise. They could have licensed the Odd Couple music and played it as Dave went uptown.. especially the shot of the apartment building. It had that feel…
You asked who we'd like to see on this channel, I said Tony Randall, and you listened! Thank you (even if it wasn't just me). Tony Randall was cool, especially because he didn't need to try.
Reminds me of the time Dave was doing shows in Chicago and had to fly back to New York to tell Tony he would be gone all week, and not to hang around the studio.
For years I’ve tried to recall what Randall and Letterman bet on when they disagreed on some minor issue while Randall was on once. I only saw this once, long decades ago, and the show on which Randall returned and we had a resolution of some sort. I’ll be grateful to anybody who can fill in the blanks. Thanks!
What a national treasure Tony Randall was. The Odd Couple is still my all time favorite sitcom. Tony Randall and Jack Klugman were just phenomenal together.
A master of "the look of dismay". And what a beautiful apt.
Tony Randall was always a great guest.
I'll love a mashup of every single Tony Randall bit on the show
I miss Tony. He was such a wonderful guy.
The two of them are like an Odd Couple, with Tony hanging onto Dave's sleeve. Very funny sketch, thanks! Tony was a great actor.
Now, that's very comedic and intelligent. Dave and Tony both did a great job.
This was so comedic and intelligent, to borrow a term from Dave, this bit could have been its own pyramid of comedy.😁
@@bluebear1985 I know, right? This was perfect. Nobody will ever top this.

Tony was GREAT! I wish he was still with us....
He'd be 150 years old.

Tony played that so perfectly, what a champ.
Like Bob Newhart, Tony Randall was a comic genius.
Remember the tv show Emergency?...THATis you guys.

One of the alltime great guests.

Yes!!! As did knocking on the apartment door!
This is peak Letterman. Tony Randall was one of the all-time great guests.

Seventy year old Tony Randall hopped around like a stunt man half his age. What an enjoyable marvel
Hahaaa how wonderful he's skipping at the end
Frickin' hilarious.
Stuff like this made Dave's show great. I always wondered why Dave stopped this stuff during the final seasons.
This was golden
The LNDL comedy writers were some of the best and Dave was the absolute perfect delivery portal!!!
The loafers bit was my favorite.

Tony skipping down the hall is just magical. 😂
I thought it was going to be oscar madison's apartment 😂
I'd like to see the Jack Bruce/Ginger Baker segment. That would be interesting musically.

Randall. Absolute class. Such a wonderful, authentic man.

Tony and Regis....always on standby for nonsensical comedy bits🤣
Who will or could fill the shoes of those gentlemen?
Loved Tony Randall
He is Missed
Rest in peace❤🙏
How much did Fisher pay him to hold onto that damn jar all the time?
Absolute classic segment.
I wish someone would post the bits where Tony was on covered in mud. I was a kid then and to this day, it’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
thanks for posting
PLEASE!! Been waiting for the Mandy / Tony drop ins where they run in to rehearse a song... PLEASE!!!
Tony was always a good sport and up for whatever nonsense.
The pilot for Tony's "Love, Sidney" series shot in Studio 6A at 30 Rock.
"Honey, put something on". Nice try Tony.
I believe Tony became a father for the final time when he was about 80.
I didn't know Tony Randall had a wife. I thought he was living with Jack Klugman.

Loved Tony Randall on Who’s Line is it Anyway
You mean What’s My Line?
@@Heres_Johnny. You’re right, oops!
Awesome
Tony Randall was the Phyllis Newman of "The Late Show with David Letterman".
Great segment. Who produced it? I WANT NAMES!!!
Funny, Dave sneaking up on Tony at home. But I'm confused, where's Jack?
I miss thus show
He was 70 here!!!
1049 Park Avenue?
Back before Dave stopped working on Fridays.
Always hated that. No Friday night show.
😂😂😂
What a dirty trick Dave played on him.
3:23, was that a fart? Where was Wendell?
😂
I hope Mr Tony Randall is okay.

So nice chatting with you 😊
tony saved the day when that nut kidnapped dave

This is the difference between Leno and Letterman. Leno would have made this bit funny.
you are the ONLY person that thinks that.
@@markhouston2468 Leno's larger than Letterman's late night audience would think so as well.
😂😂😂😂
