That wireless guitar rig is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for putting this video together, your videos have been insanely helpful with helping me set up for streaming.
The skills you gain from this channel is transferable to work, if your work involves, say, making pitches to your boss on purchasing equipment for the lab or studio or whatever. Because normally doing research on lab equipment and explaining to your colleagues how they work is boring as hell, but it can become fun when you think back to say the microphone review video or mirrorless camera review video that you learned a lot from.
I don't stream, but I listen to your videos for advice on how to grow on social media in general. I also listen for you vast knowledge that you have in audio. I'm trying to improve my audio with the things that I have, and I am looking to upgrade my mic here soon within the next couple of months because I have everything I need for a RUclips set up. Whenever I start streaming, I will at least know what I need to start off with thanks to your videos. You really have a passion for helping people grow, and it really shows through your content here that you put on RUclips. Keep up the great work!
Could you make an entire stream setup tutorial, in the sense recording and streaming, the way you have stuff plugged in, and how the software needs to be setup. It would be an extremely long video but a lot of us would want to see it!
I can always tell where my mind is at when I watch one of your videos. Sometimes I feel motivated to go and learn and make changes and grow, but other times I feel so demoralized that I don't understand most of what you talk about. I know I'll get there and I'm still very new, but sometimes that mountain just seems so tall.
Yeah don’t worry you definitely don’t need all of the stuff he is showing. If you tried to compete you would spend Thousands of dollars. You can get a very minimal setup for cheap. Streaming is one of those things I think you should do cheap for a while just so it losses some of its luster. You can get caught up and buying a bunch of stuff and then when you start and no one is watching your stream it can crush you. So I advise go with minimal money spent and see what you think first. Remember it’s not a sprint it’s a marathon. Establishing an audience takes time. Don’t rush your equipment no matter how excited you get.
I appreciate the supportive words. I have a very 0 or 11 personality and this is very much something that I want to do. Sometimes it's hard for me to see how far I've come when i look at how far i want to go.

I just don’t sit at my desk for long periods of time, I have a lot of outdoor hobbies so I only stream for like 1-3 hours a night and even then I take brakes:) good luck on you’re streaming!
I think the most valuable piece of advice that you gave by and large in this video was the sitting time thing. I never felt it when I was young but hell yeah, stretch, stand, change positions, do not sit for too long.
the free alternative to the final 6 item setup is this: you can record separately the raw footage of your camera and game, excluding alerts and music and such if you just select sources correctly on a separate install of OBS (if you use Stream Labs) or SL if you use OBS

I have the BlackMagic 4K quad HDMI capture card. The reason I went with the BlackMagic vs the Magewell is that a) I wrote code against the Magewell devices in the past and it was not a happy experience and b) You can use multiple BlackMagic capture cards in a single machine whereas the Magewell cannot -- unless they've updated the drivers on their quad cards and I didn't catch that. The only three issues I have with the BlackMagic card is that it cannot do 4K60p, it doesn't pass CEC through (but then neither does the Magewell), and the BlackMagic can be a bit finicky capturing a non-4K but greater than 1080p signal when getting it setup initially on a new device. I pass my GPU through to an Elgato CamLink as "it just works." I like the GoXLR but went with the Rodecaster as I am sort of brand loyal to Rode and their other audio h/w.
