I know almost nothing about wine but it's quickly becoming my favorite thing to drink when it comes to alcohol. Right now I have a bottle of Toso Estate Malbec. Kind of like she explains at the end about good Malbec it is from Argentina and yes it is pretty tasty.
Wonderful presentation! Very informative, Thank you Jordan!!
This was awesome! Many thanks
Red Wine Basics? This is why I want to start my own channel. I love wine. I would have started off with Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Zinfandel (old vine [red]), Syrah and Cabernet Franc. Each one would have it's own video.
Exactly! I was wondering where in the world are the basics it's like I feel like I was dropped into the middle of some wine tasting room.
Jordan - very well done! Such a great and friendly presentation!
Great video and right to the point!
Learned so much! Thank you for an informative and engaging video
Loved the details and Jordan's knowledge!
Great video
I like wine but don't know a whole lot about wine. I have a bottle of Coastal Estates BV 2015. I've had it since last January 2020 will it still be good to open... help plz!!
Good video!
Could you cookguide be my APA reference for Aturo-Gto, please.
This has nothing to do with Wine, but are you available for a night of Bowling fun one of the next few weekends? I just want to meet you and hear you talk some more...you have me mesmerized to be quite franc ;) I've been playing this presentation over and over and over lmao!! NO honestly you are perfectly amazing and ridiculously good looking to boot!! OMG
😘
this definitely is not red wine basics - she talks about the labels she wanted to show. didn't find out about different types of red wine and what they are. change the title of the video please to not-basics!
Red wine "basics"? This was complex as F
Anthony S. Oh as a beginner, or slightly more advanced beginner, she didn't start talking about the aromas you'd get from smelling the wines.
To add to that, she didn't also get into the color depth of red wines and what they mean.
But after 5 RUclips vids, several dinners with Argentinian in-laws; I see why she would say "basics".
The important thing is to not be a snob I guess. Unless you got Trump/Kanye money to burn.
Anthony S. is fu*king hard to understand....lmao
I think she did a pretty good job keeping it simple. Trust me, the people who are lv4 WSET or Master Somms from the Court go MUCH deeper into their reviews...and they are kind of dicks to those who aren't them.
Marissa A Ross from Bon Appetit who is not a som, but wine aficionado ( basically she's always drunk). She wrote a pretty good book on wine called " Wine. All the Time.: The Casual Guide to Confident Drinking". The audio book is as informative as it is funny. Listened to it on my daily commute and it's a better place to start for the basics.
Adam Deez Right!?!?! 😅 I am more confused than when I first started watching this video!
Thank you
Be sure to check the alcohol content of the wine you are buying which can range from 12% to 14%
I bought a bottle of Beringers Cabernet Sauvignon and got a buzz drinking less than 8 ounces Its alcohol content was 13.8%
I like wine with dinners - red or white I tend not to care it depends on the food. I tended to order beer out more because its cheaper and a good quick social drink at a bar although wine with most dinners is good. White wine tastes like cider to me. I would never drink cider as readily with dinner although it is good for cooking with occasional sipping and putting into apple crisp
OK I get it this is not exactly the BASICS but it still has some great information about REDS.........I enjoyed the video......
When is she going to cover Boons Farm Strawberry hill?
Hi.... You look good. How can I import for W/sale?
We have best air cushion packing for wine 🍷
❤️❤️❤️
Came for the red wine basics but stayed for her. Or, maybe I have those the opposite way.
Beaujolais is a very good wine, but Cabernet Sauvignon is by far my favorite.
Cabernet Sauvignon is the only red wine I drink
I will think about the wines later, I want to try her first.
I tried some red wine for the first time the other day it was called Vinagre Rojo, I drank the whole bottle, it tasted real sour and it didn't even get me drunk..I'm sticking with Budweiser from now on.
@@thegreenknight2658 😂
You made my day, man :)
I consumed a bottle of Shiraz last night and i was legless. How on Earth does a bottle of wine not get you remotely drunk?
Also Budweiser is one of the worst beers I have ever tried. What's up with you Americans?
Check out some natural ice. I think you'll love it, lol.
How did 5 letters get used for this fruit, gRAPE? I like this fruit but I just don't get why it has to be spelled as it is. You got any answer as to how it came from the original spelling to what we use here in America. It has become impossible for me to buy this fruit. Please don't just drop this, I want to know. I sent this question to SunMaid company, I got nothing from them. I have tried other internet venues, zilch!
@Sith'ari Azithoth Okay thanks for that news, some of what you put in your answer I know. Language has to change country to country, and no I don't see demons. I just think it's strange to use those five letters, but real glad you sent what you know. No other site gave me reasons, huge thanks!
Very informative! Also a hottie. Bien hecho
If i can get ratted on one bottle, i'm impressed !
watching her for 20 secs and i got lost with the places from France hahaah wait i think i lost it with ton of names mentioned 😢
No Chilean wines? No carmenère?
More of a basics for people in hospitality than it is for consumers. I think its hard to simplify talking about something you know a lot about and care very much for. Her pronunciation of the names grates my ears though.
""This grape is grown above 3,000 feet, so it is a lot closer to the sun. Getting all that sunshine!""
Seriously??????????? OK, so maybe she knows a bit about wines, but ......
Oh God, just never mind... ROFL.
red nose wino or beer belly gut
basics?
Title is not pertinent to content of explanation !
Somehow looks Gimmicks
Hello pls give me one bottle 😁😁😁
Where's CABERNET? Too much info about regions and not enough BASICS!
Fix your sound
Paul Fenton you r right. I feel irritated with the sound.
it feels like shes reading off a teleptrompter
I'm vegetarian, and wine is just fine on its own!
f u
oh you are so proud of being a vegetarian that you have to let everybody know
Only if it’s a wine varietal with soft tannins (or a well aged wine where the tannins have softened/been absorbed into the wine over time) otherwise, you’ll need protein so the fat can coat your mouth to make the wine more approachable if it has big, chewy tannins.
When you misspell "Vines"...
French Beaujolais tastes to me like battery acid. I sold my cellar of about 50.cases of classified Bordeaux some years ago. I prefer California Cabernet. It's about the only wine I drink.
I like your presentation honey gorgeous
She probably gets drunk every day lmao
glarple you’re right. She does. She died of cirrhosis a week ago
"Basics"
"basics"? This women is telling me what European explorer's favourite vineyard was, and that I can get wine that tastes like smoked bacon fat. Please! Definitely quite nuanced and to the uninformed (like myself) a totally fake job. Haha
Never wil understand all the bullshit surrounding wine. Buy, open, if like repeat.
Basics? This "girl" has no idea of education.
Killed me when she mispronounced ""Australia" and Barossa". Short "o" sound and note the double "s" please. Also, where was cabernet sauvignon and merlot. She did'nt even present a bottle of bordeaux
I urge this person to please change the title, this is NOT wine basics, this is "some facts about these varied bottles I have in front of me". She had the right idea to introduce various types of grapes and to present example of such. However, the facts she give are neither for an innexperience wine person nor for an experienced one. Who are you targeting with this video? You give random facts about these bottles and glance too quickly on actual important facts. "A" for effort, but next time, understand who your target is and plan your info accordingly. I learned nothing from this video other than what region Napoleon used to like his wines from. Does that mean I now know Red wine basics?
This is not basics
The information in this video is inaccurate and misleading. Anyone who is seriously interested in wine knowledge say maybe for a job or something, beware!!!! What she says is not applicable. It reminds me of watching a child pretend to know about wine. Lol!
boring af!
Basics? Seriously? So boring listening to this one.
Red wine is soooo gross!
Trump 2020!!!!
