    I love the Wine Olympics (including the anthem)! Thank you for all the amazing videos. I have been learning a lot from you guys and I think you are both awesome.
    And one suggestion/idea for a future tasting: I would love to hear your opinions on nakedwines and the wines they sell. They work directly with independent winemakers, financing the wine production, while reserving it for sale on their platform, which works both with members that contribute a monthly fee and as a regular online shop. I have had a positive experience, but I am curious to see what the experts would say.

    I ordered three bottles of Wine #1, Papari Valley Saperavi, and loved it! Thanks for the introduction of this Georgian wine. It reminded me of the DeRose Parrone Syrah from Chile.

    This is my favorite channel on youtube and there is something magical about you guys and the chemistry between you is like jingjang - totally different but together a strong unity =) !     Exciting tasting here, enjoying every moment of it. He definitely knows a few things about Georgian wines too. Great to see.
    I would argue that Saperavi wines are made incredibly naturally in many cases though. Probably one of the oldest ways of making wine.

    RUclips has decided for the week prior to me being old enough to drink. To suggest alcohol based RUclips channels. Yours is one of my favorites. Wine wasn't my favorite growing up. But now I'm excited to hopefully take what I've seen from yall the past few days and get some decent wine and try it to give it it's fair shake before I say I may not like wine or what not

    In the old days when shooting a movie, they tried to make sure there was no clock in the background, so as not to show any discrepancies in the editing...in your case you should watch out for reflections in the window of the pool cleaner. Another great video!

    Very nice to see a good Georgian wine at the top. Saperevi has this "strange" color because has purple pulp as well, where normally in normal grapes only the skin is colored.

      No way, the varietal itself has purple pulp? As in the flesh itself? Interesting!

      @@mcwine18 it doesnt, its not a teinturier which is the only type of grape to have purple flesh, alicante bouschet, petit bouschet and like 2 others have purple flesh

    "I love it, which upsets me a lot" hahahahahha. Glad to see Papari Valley doing well. They've come A LONG way in a short time. I prefer the Lytton Springs over the Geyserville too, which is not a popular opinion when I taste with other wine geeks.

    As soon as i saw that purple colour in first glass of wine thought about georgian Kindzmarauli from Teliani Valley vinery. God i love that wine for its price.

    I like your videos alot. I watch them since 1 or 2 weeks all the time. I drink wine for a few years now, and they are mostly sweet red wines from south africa or europe around 10-20€.
    I saw in your videos that you mostly drink dry and I guess way more complex red wines. How is your opinion on sweet redwines can they be really good too? Do you think that depends on every person itself? Do you think a more dry red wine is always way more complex?

    finally! I thought I never see a day! Saperavi on wineking! ok so this Saperavi not only has no coloring, it is actually a “low intervention” wine, grown organically and certified so. wild yeast fermentation, fermented and aged in Qvevri. talks of coloring or any type of manipulation is out of question. watching Peter lose his mind over Saperavi makes me so happy :)

    I'm abstinent but I would really like to try wine since I've never drunk it. Could you try to review some non-alcoholic wines? Maybe trying to trick him by blending them with alcoholic wines from the same area, or hiding them among normal wines.

    Mega purple overload. Peter, "Weird strange color ..." Jae adds: "The color almost looks like blood." I'm surprised Peter liked it. Peter's final analysis-"I want to give him a prize, then I want to hang him." hah! Funny video as always. You both are wonderful.

    Always enjoy every video. I would guess that the divergence from traditional grape varieties threw them off about the Georgian wine. Regardless of additives, interesting original varietals can cause strange reactions when blind tasting.

    Another great video, and of course I was happy to see the Georgian wine do well, even if it was badly manipulated. I love the look on your face when you say, "...alcohol content, 16%... ...this is crazy wine..." Haha!

      Btw Jay, if you see this, I checked a local wine shop here in Tbilisi and found this wine for around 23 usd. I think I know what the next step my in wine education will be thanks to you guys ;)
      Also, to add to the barbecue I promised you before, I know a couple of people involved in some successful smaller wineries here, so if you want to get to know more about Georgian wine makers let me know :)

    I tend to go Georgian for reds and Greek for whites. The Saperavi is an absolutely phenomenal grape and before COVID I used to always beeline straight to the Georgian stalls at wine fairs.

    If the Georgian's are quick learners then the French still have their training wheels on the Australia and New Zealand haven't been born yet!

    I know it would be a lot of work, but it would be nice if you partnered with some wine outlet that could sell the wines you are tasting in a case and deliver them. I can not get most of these wines locally. I'd have to piece together each one and the shipping would be ridiculous. Just a thought. It might mean making a few dollars for yourself as well!

    happy to see you tasting and loving Georgian wine. Sapheravi and Rkhatsiteli is our most famous grapes. but if you want to try something even more unique try Usakhelouri and Khvanchkara. These ones are extremely rare.

    Sometimes people like this that are so knowledgeable are off putting and seem like they wouldn't be fun to be with talking about their trades, but I barely know anything about wine and just want to hang out with them and have them teach me everything 😂 I think they are so down to earth

    Never tasted any of Papari Valley wines yet. But I’ll had the Atalaya Alaya Tierra from Almansa that comes close to the extreme experience you had in this tasting. Color, power and richness turned to 11.

    Saperavi - Georgian sort has deep color and full body , it is Teinturier grape, when flash, juice and skin is all red.
    I know this wine Papari Valley - it's natural - low intervention wine, Fermentation with wild yeast without any additives, WITHOUT any MANIPULATION!!!!
