I have SR, 107, and the 12 year in my cabinet right now. Haven't brought myself to crack open the 107 or 12 yet. Glad to get to drink it vicariously through you guys.
Regarding blending OWA 107 and W12 60/40. This blend was originally meant to as an alternative to Weller Centennial. I have made this blend many times and enjoy it quite a bit. Since the Weller 12 is very hard to get now this blend may also go away. I like both Bourbons, but like the blend better. Nice video.
I bought five bottles of w12 last year between 40-50 in Chicago. Haven't seen any since then however. Stellar pour of course. But the price gouging drives me insane too. Well done on another great review! I do make the poor man's pappy though. The sum is greater than its parts IMO. Just like how numerous distilleries release blended scotch I find a little experimentation takes you far!
Thanks to Ben for buying 4 bottles in Germany and ranting about HUGE mark up pricing. Another great review and show. I've been able to buy 4 bottles of Weller 107 for $24 to 29 in the last 6 months and love it. Yet no one around here has any W12 year to sell. Even a local Bourbon Bar hasn't had the 12 year to sell at $40 a pour (but on their menu) for the past few months.
I’m sitting here staring at a bottle of the 12 right now. I can’t believe I found this. Snagged 2 bottles for $69.99 here in Knoxville, TN. One bottle is for me and one is for a friend.
Ben you are spot on with the bullshit markups. So glad you said it. BTW I live in PA and good luck trying to get any high end liquors is this Quaker run state. I get most from NJ
Great review guys. Love the back and forth. Glad you shot down the poor mans pappy mixing idea. This is so good as it is as is the 107. Keep it up guys
I love your show! It’s the most entertaining review out there. Everyone has different pallets however someone always have and agree with my taste. I have to agree with “Jules “with this one. The Complex and wow wasn’t there for me. Very simple and smooth. I prefer “antique 107” over weller 12.
Great show guys. I have all three and I have to say I prefer 107 over the 12 and will never pay over MSRP for it. Cant wait till yall do eagle rare or one of the bookers batches. Cheers.
Awesome review Guys! You're going to yell at me but I just bought a bottle of 107 for $75 in Maryland. I never had Weller before and I wanted to give it a try...
great review guys! i work at a liquor store and my boss let me buy the only 2 bottles he got for the year for $39 a bottle, was definitely a big score! anyways, cheers friends!
I was able to get this for $39 and Elmer for $43 on the same trip from a Chicago area place last October. They even had the bigger bottles of the 12. Should have got that!
I really like this channel. I'm a scotch / Irish whiskey drinker. My first bourbon was Henry McKenna. N its great. U guys r opening the flood gates for me. I didn't wanna get in2 bourbon. But its hard to ignore how great the taste is in bourbon. N u guys make me wanna watch one after another drinking with u guys haha.
Ok so first I love the show. I’m a fan of the blind tasting. With that said y’all are missing on the value. Y’all are grading the bourbon based on what the retail people are doing. The bourbon says this is a MSRP of this much. So grade the bourbon on that not on what the jack wagons are charging
Have not had Weller 12yr yet, but have had both the 107 and the Special Reserve. I may not be a Bourbon connoisseur but the 107 is easily the worst Bourbon I've ever had. The bottle cost $35 Canadian, that's like $26 US the only Bourbon cheaper here is Four Roses for $32. You get what you pay for. The Special Reserve is $40 Can. is an easy sipper. In the Lottery here now for a Bottle of Pappy 15yr and Old Rip Van Winkle. I'll let you know how that turns out. I believe the Weller 12 yr comes out in March.
“If everything is a nine then nothing is a nine”. -Jules. Well said, buddy. Well said. Jules for prez.
Don’t agree. There are a lot of 9’s. There are a bunch of things stuck in second place. I would agree about a 10 or 11 by this grading
Sad this all went away. Lots of fun and educational. Way above 90% of the remaining bourbon/whisk(e)y shows. Come back guys.
They have another channel called Curiosity Public
Got a bottle! Haven’t opened it yet!!
Really miss you guys! You need to come
back!!!

Enjoyed the video. Picked up a liter bottle of this in Oklahoma for $69 a few weeks ago.

Market price in Texas is 35 or 38 but they usually limit it to 1 or 2 bottles at a time

Great job guys!!! Love the conversations!!! LOL
Would love to hear Jules fav bourbon. Most of his ratings are low
when are yall gonna make some new videos!!!??? love watching yalls reviews and the funny conversations
I found several bottles at a small local liquor store that is connected to a tavern. $32.39 a bottle. Normally in my area it goes for about $70+
Ben you are spot on with the bullshit markups. So glad you said it. BTW I live in PA and good luck trying to get any high end liquors is this Quaker run state. I get most from NJ
Butterscotch, spice and everything nice. Good but not secondary good. thanks guys!!
Ben, glad you started #markupshaming I am going to use that # when I see whiskey at ridiculous prices
just started watching three days ago. pure entertainment and i dont even drink bourbon lol.
Great review guys. Love the back and forth. Glad you shot down the poor mans pappy mixing idea. This is so good as it is as is the 107. Keep it up guys

Let us know what you think!
Ben - your Fab man!!!
Jewels is a hard sell on bourbon ! Just when I think there is going to be a unanimity jewels spoils it . I love this channel ❤
Got 2 bottles today at Specs in Houston for 29.99. 1 per store though
I gotta go with Jules on this one, taste wise, and Ben on the mark-up bowlshirt. What's Jules' highest rated bourbon to date? Cheers guys!
@Ben Richards BG when are you guys coming back!?
Why don't they make more of this stuff?
Stop being haters. Poor man’s pappy is good and it does taste like lot b if you mix it right
Well, the Butcher was in rare form in this episode. He made some really good points, but still rare form.
I'm starting to think these guys will give anything a 9. You could fill that Weller 12 bottle with Mellow Corn and they'd give it a 9.
Just a couple months ago I was paying $8 for a glass at a local restaurant. They have since jacked it up to $12 but now you can’t find it.
Great show. Love the Banter. BRBOB is on fire as always. Have you guys scored anything below a 5? Me thinks Jules score is more accurate...
great review guys! i work at a liquor store and my boss let me buy the only 2 bottles he got for the year for $39 a bottle, was definitely a big score! anyways, cheers friends!
Wow! Totally a big score! Thanks for watching.
Oh yea me too.... HAHA!

Does Ben speak german?
Greetings from Germany
I own special reserve and have had a dram of 107, but never since a 12. So BULLSHIT!
i can take a 8 minute walk and pass 3 places that carry weller 12 for $26 central KY bourbon spoiled hehe
Omg! Ben you're fricken hilarious!! You need a bullshit count on every video!!
Bottle is OK looking until you reached that screw top....just looks cheap.
