Thank you Jedd. Just discovered Jedd in the shed and am loving it. Long time Rodney and Emmy fan and of your work too ! Saw you and Rodney a few months back at the Coach House in Orange County, CA-really great show. I greatly appreciate all the guitar nerd tech stuff and your sharing past tour memories. Finally, one vote here for a forthcoming live acoustic album with Guthrie Trapp. That would be fantastic ! All the best to you and your family..
I watched the Austin City Limits of you with Emmylou and Rodney the other day. I had seen it before. But man such killer guitar playing by you. You fit them like a glove. I sat there thinking "that's how it should sound". Huge respect for your playing.
Thank you so much mate. That was a bucket list event for me. Been a massive fan of that show forever.
Live acoustic recording…I’m in 👍😊
I watch often mate….im down in Perth with Grant 👍 love your stuff Jedd. Fantastic sense of musicality that stretches far beyond many
A live acoustic project would be great.
Let’s do a Jedd the Shed presale/crowd source campaign.
Lets do it!
@@JeddHughesOfficial Set 'er up. brother!
A live acoustic cd was exactly what I was thinking when I was watching your set.
Just you....and thoes beautiful lines and chords fit perfectly with your voice😊
Take care
It’s coming mate
Mate, life is too short for instant coffee! 🙂
You tore up that Perth show btw. All my buddies were like "who the f*ck is that guitar player!".....
I loved your live stuff with Emmylou, I have a video of the Austin City Limits show and you guys were cooking that night!
I was gutted to have missed the London show you guys did. Work was slow...I had the chance to get a row 5 ticket for Hammersmith Apollo but just couldn't swing it on the day so I passed...a few days later I landed a well-paying job but the show had sold out. That Emmylou gig is officially The One That Got Away for me.
I revisit the video of your hour-long ACL live show with Emmylou and Rodney often, and I also have full video of a Lincoln Center, NY show that I strum along to on my Martin...I kick back and let you take all the solos.
😎
Ah mate, hopefully I’ll get back over one of these days. I love playing over there.
Yo Shed Man !That lick at 12:10 is so good . Love the way the dissonance resolves ... Thanks ..
Been playing that wrecking ball album since your video yesterday. Never checked it out before/loving it. Very cool seeing you demonstrate some of the songs.
You know brother it’s so good to see you these days. I remember not understanding why you look so angry and sad in your RUclips videos from a year ago
and then a few videos ago you said something about rehab and it all makes sense you look so much better hope you’re hanging on.
Love you much Jedd 🤪
Thank you so much for tuning in mate. One day at a time for me these days :) Life is good, Im very lucky for a million reasons.
Jedd, I’m coming up on 12 years sober and know the struggle and the miracle of one more day with family and loved ones. ❤️ Thank you for sharing your music with the world. All the best. 🙏
Live acoustic record would be great. I would buy it!
Right on man
Buk talks a ton about pitch in bends... listening to you, it is clear there are levels. As a spare-timer, those are the areas where I feel the gap between what you pros can do and what us mortals can. All to say, I appreciate your pro technique... makes me want to be more conscious... even if just a home guy.
Right on man, I still practice training my ear with that stuff all the time, it’s fun eh!
So enjoy your playing and storytelling! You, UL, and GT would be a magical trio for a live recording. Much appreciation for the inspiration the three of you instill through your videos!!
Thank you mate, that would be fun as hell wouldn’t it!
Man that’s some great chicken pickin’ at the beginning!🎸
Thanks David
You’re the real F’n deal Jedd. Hope I get a chance to see you live in the near future. You have many fans in Maryland, hint hint 😊
Hope to get up there mate!!
That little open string thing at the 1:39 mark. So cool!!
Jedd that album you guys put on Bandcamp is amazing. Thank you for sharing. Man you’re all heart!!!!!!
Glad you dig that one mate, those were really fun sessions. Lots of great memories
I have a lot more to check out. Keep the vids coming.
Always a pleasure to check in to listen to you play and share your thoughts. Wishing everything good to you and your family and friends! TC!!!
thanks David
Wow, cool intro! Great stories! @12:17 lick was cool! I am guilty of playing with too much tension. I have a cup of Maxwell House instant! It isn't ideal, but it does the job on a Tuesday. HA!
As long as it gets the motor crankin eh!!
Wow! Bravo! AWESOME intro! Thanks for sharing your stories with us!
I literally just put down my blackguard tele (held up by a souldier strap) and sounding very mediocre and drinking pretty good coffee...and then I open up the opposite video with you sounding amazing on a whiteguard drinking crap coffee. Truly wonderful intro playing and love getting insight into your Emmylou and Rodney riffs. Those records still light my brain on fire, but I can't figure it out by ear. I'll literally get a year of playing out of this one video. Thanks for it all.
I have days like that Danny, hey if there are any specific songs you want me to focus in on let me know! happy to! Thanks for tuning in mate
@@JeddHughesOfficial thanks for the kind reply! I'd love to hear your thoughts on "Ain't Living Long Like This" or "Voila, An American Dream". Loved your breakdown of Tulsa Queen.
Another great video 👍
Thanks for tuning in!
Maybe get Sarah to do 1 or 2 old ones w/you, if that doesn't cause a problem? The two of you sounded awesome w/just an acoustic! I just found a Fender Tele body I didn't know I had, and a Warmoth neck w/boat carve, I know I've also got CS Twisted Tele pups and a Cream Tone blender circuit controls. That will keep me busy, could have a gig on the 4th too!! 8) Cheers!! --gary
That sounds like a great recipe mate! Those blender circuits are so great!
Live record sounds smart, you have the tools already.
Awesome intro jam
Awesome playing 👏 awesome tone 🔥love those country licks. So good
Thanks Brian!
The quality of the audio on the acoustic show video was excellent. Great idea for live album mate. Look forward to that.
❤wonderful player, person and musician Jedd ❤ I’ve been watching you for a long time and marveling at your talent
Great intro!
… and the rest too!
Way cool Jedd! Thank you!
Love that intro to Ooh Las Vegas!🎉 And now I’ve got one more very good reason to absolutely love 💕 Rodney Crowell! Thanks Jedd for this wonderfully tasty breakfast!
Cheers mate! That’s a great riff eh!
An Evening with Jedd Hughes and Friends. You should definitely do the live record. We take those Starbucks instants on hiking trips. Something that tastes pretty average at home tastes amazing when you wake up in a tent!
hahaha yes that makes total sense David!
Happy morning playin…..thx Jedd
It's beautiful Being Human❤ making something out of nothing🎶🦧Great intro
I stay just outside glasgow and I had major problems with my arm and shoulder and ended up getting acupuncture as i couldnt play without pain. it worked a treat.
It’s amazing right!!?
That intro was smokin! Love your channel Jed, from a fellow Aussie.
cheers Dan!
Hey Jedd, is that a TOM BRITT painting over your right shoulder? Asking for a friend...:)
Yes! Well spotted. We have a bunch of his work hanging in the house. Love Tom
Wow that intro! That was cool as..
Buddy thanks for the videos, I tell anyone that I know that shows any interest in guitar about your channel. Your sub numbers are criminal
Aw mate thank you so much. I really appreciate you spreading the word man.
Jet, glad to know about you. Of course uncle Larry and Guthrie introduced me to you recently. Keep it coming!
Love those blokes!! Thanks so much for tuning in!
Wow! That was super cool!
Great great playing 😎😎
How is that Diablo pedal working out for you? A Keeper? Something different than others? I was watch Greg's channel and am very interested in purchasing. Thanks!
I LOVE that pedal man. Its a winner
Superb playing, as usual! It's great to watch your finger work and picking technique. Again, I wish I had an ounce of your talent.
Ha! I had three cups today! Though I think my experience (Lavazza) was better than yours.
These videos are great. It's been almost as good as sitting in a room listening to your stories, while you play. It's an intimate look for your fans. Thanks for these.
Ah mate, I appreciate you all so much for tuning in and getting down the rabbit holes with me! Lavazza is a good cup of joe!!
@@JeddHughesOfficial Thanks for taking the time to reply, man.
"Going down the rabbit holes" is fun stuff. There are those of us who love music for the pure joy of the music itself, and then, many of us also love the behind-the-scenes stuff; hearing the realities of the road, what it's like to work with others who are at the top of their game (or on their way up), and the realities of playing on the road for nights on end.
Your acupuncture story, for example, said a lot about not only the wear-and-tear on the body but also about the importance of good technique, the way other artists have developed their playing style, and how a lighter touch is sometimes better. It also showed how artists can care for each other, and was an intimiate look into your life at the time, and how our lives outside of music (as well as in) can lead to tension and injury while playing.
This peek into the many aspects of your life is great for your fans, for those of us who aspire to a higher level of playing our instruments, and for those who love a good story.
I hope it's theraputic for you, and that you see how appreciated you are. You've brought beautiful music into the world. Your work in the past decade has been a big part of my own healing, and I'm deeply grateful for that. Hopefully you get some of that in return.
2 cupper every morning
Ain’t livin long like this?
Great idea! I’ll dig in on that one, thanks brett!
