Hi Dr. Greg, have you by chance uploaded any videos regarding teeth shaping/contouring after braces? I was told by my ortho that he will be correcting my teeth length for my front teeth and some bottom teeth. Worried that this will cause me to have sensitive teeth

When I had braces it always got caught on my gums so I had kanker sores so i needed that wax stuff it really helped

You said it's not good to have too much flouride but you also said we need to absob more flouride to make the teeth stronger.
Finallyyyy ive found dental RUclipsrs, I want to be a dentist that’s pulls teeth, does surgery’s on teeth, stuff like that. But I’ve been struggling to find RUclipsrs like these people to help me learn before I go to school for it. I start 9th grade in a few weeks 😂 I just wanna make sure I make a good amount of money and succeed in dental school.

It’s completely normal! It’s just your teeth moving around, he actually has a video explaining this. It’s something about how braces work, that should explain more. If you have questions about how they work I recommend watching more videos on RUclips because I have braces and I made sure I knew what to do before I got them so I know how to take care of my teeth and braces.

Same I got my braces off almost 3 months ago and I miss the way they look sm. Do I miss the maintenance? No! But I like the way my smile looked before I got them off.

It’s not as scary as you’d think lol. It hurts in the first few days but I recommend using ice packs and pain killers to take the pain away. After the pain goes away it’ll just be a thing to get used to and a matter of patience until you get them off :)

I got braces two days ago and i brush every time i eat with a soft bristle brush (3 times a day). However after like half an hour , if i run my fingernail on my teeth there’s like a white powdery thing under my fingernail . And my teeth don’t feel smooth on the inside . What could be cauSing this ?

2 of my brackets broke within a week of getting my new braces on. Elp!

Brackets come off depending on what you eat and your bite. Two brackets from the back of my bottom teeth came off within two weeks because I have a mild overbite and over jet. If brackets break off you should do to your orthodontist so they can either replace the brackets with new ones or figure out a new alternative to the brackets.
