Wow!! This took me back to when I myself had braces at 13 years old. I'm 31 years old now, but I honestly cannot remember this procedure being done on my teeth! Like I'm here sitting thinking wow this exact thing was done to me but cannot remember it. BUT what I do remember is going in for checkups and having to get the rubberbands colors change on the braces! That was my favorite part! I use to do mixmatch, pink&blue (cotton candy) and I most definitely did green&red for Christmas! I didn't keep it on for long unfortunately, I had maybe 2 more years to go (I had it on for 2 years), but I hated having them because I did get tease at school because of them so I begged my mom to get them removed, BUT as I got older, like 19/20 years old I did regret removing them sooner than needed to because my teeth were not fully fixed straight, although I have considered doing it again or perhaps getting invisalign now.

My teeth has remained the same since the day I removed the braces (I can’t remember when but that’s ago now), but they have not gone back out of shape or gotten worst. They’re just not as straight/aligned as I wish they could be which would’ve been the results had I kept on the braces. Idk hope that helps? 😊

This was so different than my experience, but still interesting to watch. I got a scan of my mouth, and when I came back the next time they put a thing that looks like a mouth guard over my teeth and used a light to cure the glue. When they took it off, all of the brackets were in their places! Also, instead of rubber bands holding in the wire, mine had doors that they opened and closed to hold them in.
I got a X-ray, then a mold replica and I’m getting the braces soon!

im so grateful that my parents had perfectly straight teeth without braces. i literally have perfect teeth bc of them (other than a minor overbite, which isn't noticeable)

im the same age and i got braces on the 3rd. honestly it doesnt take too long to get adjusted to eating but for the first week or two, drink boost shakes and eat ramen noodles because they're pretty soft and you dont really have to chew. if you get pain take an advil or tylenol (if you can swallow it) if not then dissolve it in water for about 20-30 minutes. hope this helps ✌

I have braces, I remember how weird they felt in my mouth when I first got them on. They didn’t have a taste, but after the first couple days they started to hurt. After the first couple months they didn’t. I got used to them. Here are my tips:
DON’T have any caramel apples of corn on the cob, I broke multiple brackets with these. You can however eat apple slices with caramel on them
DON’T have any carrots or suckers, I also broke a bracket on those two. You can have boiled carrots because they are softer.
DO take good care of the gums around them because I got a warning to take better care recently or they would have to trim off parts of my gums.
DO use floss or a waterpik, you can also use an electric toothbrush if you really care. I do personally
And those are what I have learned over 1 1/2 years. I can almost get them off because recently I was told that in December they were gonna check if I could get them off. I really hope so because the dentists say I do a good job. If they say that to you too, then just keep it up.

Usually around 12-13 is when most people just their braces because they teeth are more mature enough to handle the brace :)

Wow, thats lucky! My orthodontist barely has any selection of colors. Every time they either say their out or they don't have enough of the color 😂
when I first got braces I couldn't chew on anything for a week than I was fine but every checkup they tighten them make sure to eat right after they do that because your teeth hurt after that. then you cant chew at least me for me. I just got them off and I though my teeth would hurt after they don't and the retainer is fine they tell you to ware it all the time you dont have to just every night. as long as they still fit your teeth your fine

Question, Why is the water sometimes sour when they start to rinse or get something off my teeth?
It’s because of the stuff they put on your teeth that they rinse off and it makes the water sour!
because etching gel is an acid. It melts your enamel so that the glue for brackets or any kind of repair/reconstruction such as fillings can hold onto your tooth like a velcro.
Question, do the rubber bands that you put in between the teeth stay there? And if they do does it hurt?

It takes about an hour and a half, I got my top and bottom braces separately so idk exactly. Also there shouldn’t be any problems with your gags reflexes

This is great I have braces but I never got to know how they put them on my teeth
I thought it was gonna hurt but now I know how it goes I think I'll be ok to put braces
it's not painful. Bit uncomfortable especially after adjustment. Teeth are just very sensitive to chewing hard things (2-3 days after adjustment you won't be able to eat solids, paracetamol helps, also you shouldn't eat hard things anyway unless you want to pay for putting your brackets back on if they pop off). Day after you put them on you will feel like your teeth are ''floaty'' which can be uncomfortable - just take paracetamol if you're not allergic. Don't trust people that say that braces are so painful and it's unbareable - that's a lie. I had impacted canine which they pulled down using golden chain attached to the wire - that was more uncomfortable than just braces itself. It's really not so bad!

i think thats how the braces stick to the teeth the dentist will remove the glue when the braces will get off (only dentist can remove the glue if you remove the glue by urself u can damage ur teeth)

for me not really it was uncomfortable of course because your lips start drying out so just use lip balm beforehand but it doesn’t hurt

is it okay to get your braces adjusted by different orthodontist? but they are in the same clinic though
Yes, they are all professional at their job and are given info about your teeth. However usually it would be the same person who put them on that would usually make the adjustments to your braces. But there’s no worry in having someone else tighten them because as I said they are all highly trained and professional and have probably done hundreds of brace work on patients before.
yes and no. Each orthodontist would approach the treatment differently. Unless you are moving and need to switch orthodontist you should still bring your old treatment plan along to new orthodontist so they can continue where it was left. No orthodontist that is smart enough would ever take on a case just for a single adjustment because it can cause a lot of damage and end up costing you more money.

No it's not. Each treament has to be followed by the same professional who knows exactly the goals and the previous work done on you.

That’s how a lot of American dentist bond their braces. Ideally it shouldn’t be etched as it will demineralised the enamel, however the teeth can easily remineralise again from saliva so technically it doesn’t harm the teeth that much

It's not just about straightening teeth in braces, she may have an overbite or an undeveloped jaw. Braces treat many of these

@@zinkai1490 You know what? I had braces for 2 years when I was younger now my teeth look straight but I still have a small crossbite and dentist told me I don't need braces now so what should I do now if braces didn't fix this?😪😪💔 I feel so sad about it
@@zinkai1490 believe me most ppl regret having braces. After they realize fixing the overbite/underbite will damage the face. Mewing or orthotropics should be the first option if you u want ur bite fixed or have a healthy bone structure & attractive face .

No my face changed for the better when I got braces
most people don't regret having braces and they're not only for overbites, they also fix gaps and give better jawlines
