Many times we wonder if such an advanced problem of tooth decay would have a solution, the answer is YES, in many cases they are solved with a Root Canal Treatment (RCT) and a direct restoration (Composite Resin) or Fixed (porcelain crown)
I will show you through this simulator how a treatment would be from start to finish, from the elimination of dental caries to its subsequent restoration, in this case a Composite Resin.
The final restoration can vary according to the severity or degree of dental destruction, so each professional must propose what is most convenient for their patient, the alternatives being: a porcelain crown, a porcelain inlay, a metal inlay, etc.

Another amazing video, Dr. Fora! I had this teeth when I was a kid and this made me have a bad breath! That was the biggest factor but kriss ai said that maybe because I was not flossing that time and don't brush my teeth often LOL.. guilty 😂
It makes me wonder what Kriss might say about preventing cavities like this 🤔. Did Kriss have any advice on how often to floss to avoid needing such major work?

I just had this yesterday (as of the moment I'm writing this comment), and it's not as bad as people make it out to be. If you need an RCT, don't ignore it! If you have a good dentist who knows about RCTs, you'll be just fine. Just make sure you're ultra numb enough so you won't feel a thing, and it'll be no different than filling a cavity.

I had a root canal and it wasn't bad at all. Basically the same as a crown, but it just took longer. And the pain relief afterwards was night and day.
Pain may vary depending on the condition of the tooth, or may not even exist at all. As I mentioned, I had a tooth like this and I had no pain during and after the root canal treatment. My tooth is now cut and the crown will be placed, approximately 1 week later the crown will be placed.@@jm7804 i hope so u will be okay soon 🙏

🦷 This is fascinating! So how long does this last? And which procedure is more durable, direct restoration or crown? Do all dentist offer these options? Can they be done in one visit? Do I have to be awake? So many questions, I apologize 😊
To restore this case there are several alternatives: porcelain crown (the best option), porcelain inlay or resin reconstruction. At least 4 sessions with the dentist are required for the entire process. It does not require general anesthesia and does not require the patient to fall asleep, since pain is controlled very well with local anesthesia.

@@DrAbdomFora 4 sessions? I thought the standard was 2. 1 session where you clear away the caries, then clear infection and apply gutta percha and then seal with temporary filling while antibiotics are left in the pulp chamber. 2nd session is then the restoration. What do you do? 😊

Great content doc! I have a question to ask. 3 years ago i chose dentistry over medicine. That day I'd had a neck pain and pain in the fingers of my right hand for a week. I thought, i didn't have any major problems with my neck before and I've been feeling this pain for a week so i don't wanna decide against dentistry because of it. But unfortunately the pain hasn't gone away ever since. Doctor said it was probably a bad idea for me to choose dentistry because there should be a problem with my neck (herniated disc) and i went for MRI and doctors said it's fine and i need physical therapy and it helped but after six months the pain came back. My therapist said it's not a big deal just stiffness and trigger points. It's not severe but even walking or standing triggers it. Both stiffness and pain in neck and pain in the fingers of my right hand. Now I have 3 more years to finish dental school and I'm not even sure if i can become a dentist or not. Or even if i should quit or not. I don't even know if it's too late for me to get into med school. It's really hard (if possible) to do that now. I feel like i made a huge mistake. I'm 21. How serious do you think it is? Should i quit dental school? Some people say dental radiology is a good choice for me but in order to make enough money to own my own dental radiography clinic i need to work as a general dentist for some time. It means a lot if you answer.

Brushing actually does very little in this regard....if you have tooth decay or naturally discoloured teeth, what you need is cosmetic dentistry. Brushing a naturally discoloured teeth 24 hours a day won't make it white.

This treatment is worked under local anesthesia, this will prevent pain during the treatment, there is no bleeding either.

Ich glaube dass in diesem Fall Haben wir einen echten Zahn. Ich habe in meinem Leben noch keinen fantomzahn gesehen mit Pulpa Resten. Bei uns in Deutschland gibt es schon gute Zahnmodelle von Frasaco, aber solche Zähne für Endo mit dem künstlichen kariosen Dentin und Pulpa Resten kenn ich nicht.

Ganz einfach. Die Behandlung ist teuer, manch mal sehr anstrengend, eine Erfolg Garantie gibt es nicht.
Aus diesem Grund entscheiden sich manche Patienten gegen diese Endo Behandlung. In diesem Fall ziehen wir den Zahn raus.
Wir sammeln solche Zähne für die Fortbildung Kurse.
Jeder Zahnarzt hat so einen Sammeln Box mit den Zähnen...
