I have to get a root canal. I didn’t even know I had a cavity becuz I have literally no pain. My dentist also wants me to get a wisdom tooth pulled tht isn’t even bothering me. I’ve had it for awhile.
The black spots are indication of dental caries/cavities and according to kriss ai, root canal is typically needed when the decay has reached the tooth's pulp, causing infection or inflammation. Some symptoms could be pain, sensitivity to heat/cold, and gum swelling. You can try using krisss for more info. 👍
Xray will show how bad the decay is they can see how close to the nerve it is and it also gives symptoms like tooth ache, sensitivity, i had deeply decayed damaged teeth . Tooth infection is a whole new pain its awful , book your app asap don't ignore it i did and i spent a small fortune correcting it 😖 😱
I cracked my tooth now its infected went to the dentist yesterday and the did a dental freezing. As soon as i left my cheek started swelling now im in a lot of pain. Is this normal?
Yes the pain inspite of IPC being done is indicative of infected and inflammed pulp tissue and for this pulp therapy and mostly root canal treatment will be required So pls get it checked and also do share your reports and X-ray with me
It may be due to aggressive instrumentation as root Canal treatment involves multiple steps so postoperative pain for intial few days is likely So keep taking medications advised by your doctor You will be fine
I have to get a root canal for the first time soon and I'm freaking out. I have bad anxiety at the dentist even tho I've been going to my office for most of my life. Is it painful? I'm really freaked out.
No no pls don’t worry Everything will be fine It’s just a minor surgical procedure inside a tooth And it’s done to save your natural tooth Just get it ✔️
I just had my first one today and I have high anxiety! They numbed me great but only thing for me was having to breath through my nose instead of mouth cuz all the stuff they put in your mouth. Had to give me nitrous to relax me. Tonight I’m feeling fine. Weird thing for me is the starting pain that sent me to my doctor then dentist was throat pain then horrible jaw pain. I’m 66 and I cried for 2 days til anbx kicked in and Motrin 800! Glad it’s over!
There may be many reasons 1) missed canal 2) infected pulp tissue still remaining 3) complete treatment not done 4) over filling done Pls get your tooth checked once again with your doctor
I've had 2 molar root canals, 1 done twice and they both ultimately failed. Both developed abscess at the root and had to have the teeth removed and implants placed.
Same here. So discouraging and hugely costly. I'm certain the first one that failed and had to be pulled was 100% caused by dentist error. I only half joked when I asked to keep the tooth to take home. Once I was home and not in so much pain from the infection I examined the tooth. One root had a small piece of metal sticking out the side of one root. As if it had been accidentally drilled through at the wrong angle. This 2nd one is still in my mouth, strangely throbbing painfully (have an appointment in 2 days). 3 years ago when it began to throb from an abscess, the dentist at the emergency clinic felt it wasn't salvageable but sent me to a specialist root canal guy. He felt he could save it, no problem. $1500 later it felt "okay" but always a bit tender when I bit down. It's throbbing again very painfully. I don't quite get that since I thought the nerves were dead... how can I feel so much pain when I bite down/and even when I don't? I can't help but feel root canals run a much higher risk of holding onto nasty bacteria deep inside microtubules (think that's what they're called). Frankly, I think there's no reason a root can't be sterilized thoroughly .... Surely. Too much human error in a field that can't be held accountable. At least not in my country (Canada). Ever hear of many successful malpractice suits in my country? Nope! Just rarely is allowed to happen. You can lodge a complaint with your provincial dental board but "they cannot compel a refund or any action". Just investigate and warn if one of their own is found at fault. I know with medical doctors, they pay into a fund that has billions to cover any legal costs to protect doctors. Guess who ultimately pays those fees? You got it. Tax dollars and patient fees that are charged to the government. I'm furious at the helplessness of paying huge dental bills, even with good dental insurance. The prices are so high that even the amount a patient pays after insurance can prevent you from getting needed treatment. I'm sick of being unfortunate enough to be "treated" by, not 1 but 2 absolute quacks. 13 years ago, one persuaded me that replacing all my existing, healthy fillings with composites. Not only did he not protect me from full exposure to the mercury from the amalgams with no ventilation or even a dental dam... Causing me to get very sick for a month. He didn't make any attempt to seal the fillings correctly. Swapping out to composites are a fine idea but if done improperly.... You can end up with 13 cavities in a year, which happened to me. Lost 2 teeth and had abscesses, needed my 1st root canal and fixing others with amalgams. Flash forward to 3 years ago, I needed a couple fillings repaired, then another, and another... Lost another tooth. I began noticing dark spots at the gumline but was dismissed as "staining from the amalgam". A few months on, small holes so I demanded x-rays. Last week he told me I would have to lose ALL my back teeth. All but the single implant I was able to save up for. That's the only tooth I will have aside from my front teeth. Wonder how long they'll last without any supporting structures behind them. The bone loss and gum recession that will happen will threaten my front teeth if pigs fly and I can afford implants for all those teeth. I had one dentist quite candidly tell me "implants are for the wealthy". After the x-ray results were shown to me, as I began to sob behind my mask... I wasn't charged for the x-ray! Unless I get a bill in the mail that is I'm just so tired of fighting for my dental health only to end up with such a poor outcome. Huge understatement! My only hope,if I'm somehow able to save enough to take the dental tourism route. At this point I think the risks are just about the same as seeking care in my own country , for 1/4 of the cost
No no it’s a misconception It’s your body and how it respond to treatment is also one the causes of failure Otherwise root canal treatment is one of the best treatment to save your natural tooth in the mouth
@@AtoZKidsdental I'm sure you're right, if the job is done correctly yet I can't dismiss how this particular tooth had the same material used to fill the roots coming through the side of one root. It never settled down after the work was done, kept getting infection. Also take exception to paying for work repairing filling...all while decay went in unchecked in same teeth. It's absolutely true that my auto immune disease has damaged my teeth. Yet, I don't agree that the patient needs to come home from an appointment, use a flashlight and dental mirror to identify a problem with teeth just filling and have to ask for an x-ray to confirm what a colossal waste of time and money it was to repair these very same teeth. That's the dentist's job. Early on he said it was just staining leeching from the amalgam and wasn't until holes actually formed at the gumline that he agreed to follow up with my concerns. It's a costly mistake, both financially and for my health. No reason it couldn't have been caught earlier, potentially saving one or 2 teeth. At the very least, spare 3 of them from being repaired. It's like frosting a cake that's moldy on the bottom. It's about accountability and yes, even (god forbid) a little compassion
@@leianehiltz2486 yes true as it’s the doctors responsibility to take the appropriate care of the patient if he or she is still having issues with the same tooth or teeth which are being operated on
Doctor, i’m using AH26 for sealer. Is it ok to prep post space immediately after obturation?? Will it have any negative effects on the apical seal? I read AH26 needs 9 hours to set.
I understand now why dental treatments are expensive... so many tools and a lot of proncess... I asked kriss if can I just have tooth extraction rather than this.. it said yes but there will be long term consequences 😩😩
Yeah I think you might even have jawbone recession overtime. So maybe if it can be saved, you should let it be saved. And what's kriss? Is that an app?
Dental treatments are expensive because dentists undergo extensive training and education to acquire the necessary skills and expertise to provide high-quality care.
totes get where you're coming from! dental treatments can seem pretty involved, but they're all about preserving that pearly white smile for the long haul. asking Kriss for advice sounds like a smart move, tho! always good to weigh your options.
Quick question! Every single file you use after the one used to determine working length is measured at working length first right? Including the protapers? Or just until you notice resistance? Or can you just use the Apex locator to check it has reached apical constriction?
When i do it i don't cut around so much this is not an good example of conservation of tooth material, because of dentist like you patient tends to break there crown even after capping, try more conservative approach cut only in carious lesions and keep the access opening as small as possible use dental loupe or dental microscope for same , this is to much cutting even on a extracted tooth
Yes Doctor Conservation of tooth is very important and yes it’s very easy to say DOCTORS LIKE YOU Thanks for your valuable suggestions Doctor Points to Bring over here is 1) These are procedural videos and we need light to enter dark tooth chamber so conservative approach in such a way is very difficult in videos as nothing would be seen much 2) yes I do use loupes and we cannot show pediatric patients as per the RUclips ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT referred to as COPPA Hope You Got My Point Doctor

@@organicchemistryvideos1539 the question was about seal of coronal chamber and when root canals are planned then it hardly matters whether it’s a posterior tooth or anterior tooth The reason is pretty simple that tooth after root canal treatment is nonvital and over a long term is liable to fracture so crowns are done to overal protect the tooth in functional state

Hello doctor. I have a question. Do you have any videos of rct for upper molars with super curbed canals?
Yes Doctor there are lot of videos
Pls see my playlist section for the same
@@AtoZKidsdental thanks
Great showcase
Thanks for your appreciation Doctor
I've to do a rtc on my upper left 2 ....so basically how long can i delay it...rtc cost around 30$ and ceramic cap cost around 70$ and I dont have money on me as I've already spend it on my other appointments....can i delay rtc 2-3 months and crown it in 4-5 months? And I've one mire qn i did a rtc and put pfm crown...its being sensitive ti heat and cold...what should i do?
I have root canal in 6th tooth, got infected after 8 years. Had antibiotic for 10 days and its good again. What do you suggest? Do root canal again and crown? Implant? If you can suggest please. Im a bit worried i dont want to loose the tooth as nr.6 is pretty big !
Don’t worry
Can you just share your final tooth X-ray
Great video 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for your appreciation Doctor
I have to get a root canal. I didn’t even know I had a cavity becuz I have literally no pain. My dentist also wants me to get a wisdom tooth pulled tht isn’t even bothering me. I’ve had it for awhile.
Don’t worry
Get a second opinion and then get it done as delaying treatment is also not good
This access cavity is over extended and it reduce teeth structure resistance
Doctor we follow the outline of the tooth
Merci pour cette jolie video

I assume the dentist can see the infection based on discoloration? If they go in and see no discoloration, this means there truly was no infection"?
Can you do a video of a tooth that is need of a root canal due to an already failed molar filling?
Yes Doctor Sure
Is it normal to have swelling in the submandibular gland whilst waiting for a root canal?

A bunch of my teeth have block spots and I’m 18 but how can I physically feel if I need this?
The black spots are indication of dental caries/cavities and according to kriss ai, root canal is typically needed when the decay has reached the tooth's pulp, causing infection or inflammation. Some symptoms could be pain, sensitivity to heat/cold, and gum swelling. You can try using krisss for more info. 👍
those spots are usually caused by cavities or staining from certain foods. It's best to improve dental hygiene now and visit your dentist for advice!
Xray will show how bad the decay is they can see how close to the nerve it is and it also gives symptoms like tooth ache, sensitivity, i had deeply decayed damaged teeth . Tooth infection is a whole new pain its awful , book your app asap don't ignore it i did and i spent a small fortune correcting it 😖 😱
You would think that metal clamp blocks access to do the job better
I cracked my tooth now its infected went to the dentist yesterday and the did a dental freezing.
As soon as i left my cheek started swelling now im in a lot of pain.
Is this normal?
That means you need to either get root canal treatment or get your tooth extracted
Pls consult your doctor
It needs to be treated
I'm going to get root canal treatment in Monday
That’s good because your tooth would be saved now
Do update me once it’s done
Pls don’t worry
Everything would be fine
I have pain despite IPC in lower jaw molar. Looks like RTC is now inevitable 😢
Yes the pain inspite of IPC being done is indicative of infected and inflammed pulp tissue and for this pulp therapy and mostly root canal treatment will be required
So pls get it checked and also do share your reports and X-ray with me
Why do l have trobbing pain even after 3 weeks of the treatment? Is this normal?
No its not normal
Pain should not be there
If pain is there then supposedly an infected nerve is still present in your tooth
@AtoZKidsdental The pain is throbbing, not constant, and i still can't eat on that side.
Yes this suggest that still there is an over instrumentation or persistent infection
Amazing work😍 what’s the taper of the GP?
It’s 6% taper doctor
2 days after RCT. No ache. Only some pain if i bite sth with that tooth. Should that be so?
It may be due to aggressive instrumentation as root Canal treatment involves multiple steps so postoperative pain for intial few days is likely
So keep taking medications advised by your doctor
You will be fine
@@AtoZKidsdental Thanks for the fast reply.
your welcome Doctor
I have to get a root canal for the first time soon and I'm freaking out. I have bad anxiety at the dentist even tho I've been going to my office for most of my life. Is it painful? I'm really freaked out.
No no pls don’t worry
Everything will be fine
It’s just a minor surgical procedure inside a tooth
And it’s done to save your natural tooth
Just get it ✔️
I just had my first one today and I have high anxiety!
Why it still pains even after root canal plz answer...
There may be many reasons
1) missed canal
2) infected pulp tissue still remaining
3) complete treatment not done
4) over filling done
Pls get your tooth checked once again with your doctor
Im currently in pain as I did my first treatment yesterday where they put medicine in my tooth and connected the pollen and now the ache wont go away
Pls consult and sorry for late
Hope you are fine
just got this treatment
in my case i don't feel anything
the worst thing is some medicine taste like acid it's so sour
That’s great doctor
That is sodium hypochlorite used as root canal Irrigant 👍🏻
Sorry but noone is mentioning the cavity by the distal side? It needs
To be removed before entering the canals 🛑
Thanks for your valuable suggestions Doctor
Yes Appreciate 👍🏻
Unless I get a bill in the mail that is
I'm just so tired of fighting for my dental health only to end up with such a poor outcome. Huge understatement! My only hope,if I'm somehow able to save enough to take the dental tourism route. At this point I think the risks are just about the same as seeking care in my own country , for 1/4 of the cost
No no it’s a misconception
It’s your body and how it respond to treatment is also one the causes of failure
Otherwise root canal treatment is one of the best treatment to save your natural tooth in the mouth
Here, after my root canal failed, I cannot stand the pain when cleaning my roots.
Is ist right use Gades gliden ? There is endomotor insturment.
Yea it’s right to enlarge coronal orfice
Whether there will be any pain after treatment for some days??
Ideally there shouldn’t be any pain after treatment as all the vital pulp tissue responsible for pain has been removed.
Which instrument did u use to cut the GP POINTS while obturating
Obturation Pen Doctor
I understand now why dental treatments are expensive... so many tools and a lot of proncess... I asked kriss if can I just have tooth extraction rather than this.. it said yes but there will be long term consequences 😩😩
Yeah I think you might even have jawbone recession overtime. So maybe if it can be saved, you should let it be saved. And what's kriss? Is that an app?
Dental treatments are expensive because dentists undergo extensive training and education to acquire the necessary skills and expertise to provide high-quality care.
Ohh..no I also prefer tooth extraction, done last year and my dentist said same what kriss answer..
@@GeorgeNancyy I agree, and also, there are emerging new technology for the dental industry,.
totes get where you're coming from! dental treatments can seem pretty involved, but they're all about preserving that pearly white smile for the long haul. asking Kriss for advice sounds like a smart move, tho! always good to weigh your options.
Was nothing wrong with the tooth to start with !
Really?
Yes as it’s a demonstration procedure
Yes doctor
Why did you not use a LASER instead of drill?
Will use HARD TISSUE laser in upcoming videos Doctor
No bur drop felt in this case doc ?
In case i missed it
Is ir possible that only 2 canals out of the 4 need rootcanal?
No
No Doctor
All canals need to be cleaned and prepared irrespective of pathological state of any one root
Is this an actual procedure on a real tooth on a real person?
This is a Simulated Demonstration Sir
@AtoZ Kidsdental thanks! Was just curious.
I had my first root canal done today! Wanted to see what was just done to me. Ur video was very helpful.
Thankyou So much for your appreciation Doctor
How do they position the patient for this stuff
They position it in semi reclined
Quick question! Every single file you use after the one used to determine working length is measured at working length first right? Including the protapers? Or just until you notice resistance? Or can you just use the Apex locator to check it has reached apical constriction?
Just Quick Answer
Yes Doctor
Every File is Engaged with STOPPER which is pre adjusted to the WL that has been determined with IOPA/RVG/EAL
Without stoper ? And how you know length of canals?
Hi Doctor
Already Took the working length in the video shown
When i do it i don't cut around so much this is not an good example of conservation of tooth material, because of dentist like you patient tends to break there crown even after capping, try more conservative approach cut only in carious lesions and keep the access opening as small as possible use dental loupe or dental microscope for same , this is to much cutting even on a extracted tooth
Yes Doctor
Conservation of tooth is very important and yes it’s very easy to say DOCTORS LIKE YOU
Thanks for your valuable suggestions Doctor
Points to Bring over here is
1) These are procedural videos and we need light to enter dark tooth chamber so conservative approach in such a way is very difficult in videos as nothing would be seen much
2) yes I do use loupes and we cannot show pediatric patients as per the RUclips ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT referred to as COPPA
Hope You Got My Point Doctor
Compsite filled tooth access. I don't think if it is helpful.
I felt really uncomfortable while my dentist do a hole in my teeth that is really painful for me when is get deeper😢

How much time did the whole appointment take?
It takes just 45 minutes

@Георги Костадинов it’s over a period of practice you will be able to do
I have 10 years of practice
do the you put your patients to sleep while doing the procedure.....
@@hf_catering1293 depends what you want. I was fine with being awake it doesn’t hurt at all tbh just the numbing needle to start the process 😭
How many days have to go for hospital ?
It depends on the pathological state of the tooth
So it may vary from 2-3 visits to multiple visits
@@AtoZKidsdental how many days gap between visit ?
@@Xavier_lols mostly 2-3 days gap
Even it can be done in one visit
But as I said all depends on the pathological state of your tooth
@@AtoZKidsdentalI've had 4 visits and gaps around usually 3 months.
Protapers are way too aggressive of a file that removes entirely too much tooth structure in the middle and coronal thirds of the canal.

why did you use gates glidden
Going for mine tomorrow and am very scared 😢
Don’t worry
why am i watching this? i work in IT. But i guess good job? :D

This procedure is very painful or not
No pain
No pain as the procedure is done under local anaesthesia
I was there yesterday going back after two weeks
Ok where are you now
good job
Thanks Doctor
Mixing saline with hypo. Is mistake
A composite filling at the end would be the best to seal the tooth completely. 😁
Yes Doctor
You are absolutely right and will come to it in subsequent videos
That's just a demo... why people take it so seriously..
I'll become a bit weird too.. I would melt the gutta a little bit more and pack the area near the orifice better and count on the bcSealer for the rest.🙂
@@YorgosEU yes Doctor you are absolutely right
Thanks for your valuable suggestions doctor
For posterior RCT - crowns are indicated as the best final restoration...
@@organicchemistryvideos1539 the question was about seal of coronal chamber and when root canals are planned then it hardly matters whether it’s a posterior tooth or anterior tooth
The reason is pretty simple that tooth after root canal treatment is nonvital and over a long term is liable to fracture so crowns are done to overal protect the tooth in functional state
Which numbr G G burrs are used for canal enlargement...??
Size 1-2-3 used but beyond that should not be used
Just had my first of done 1 hour ago
Ohh that’s really great that you saved your natural tooth 🦷
Is a crown necessary after? Or case by case
Yes Doctor crown is necessary because of
1) Strength
2) compromised tooth structure
3) long term durability
@@AtoZKidsdental I’m so sad :(. This all started because of the dentist.. only did a very light filling. Think it fell out or didn’t last a week. A year later, Tooth hurt.. she ended up drilling all the way down and showed me and it was black/darkness (assuming root). Sealed with rubber cement and then had to come back and she filled again with composite. Now I have an abscess that won’t go away with antibiotic that was prescribed 3 months later..
