I'm training to be a dental nurse and have been looking for an in-depth RCT video for a while because I didn't understand the use of some of the equipment. Such a helpful video, thank you!
In 2000 in China, I got this treatment without anesthetic. Back then over there without it was a standard practice. The New graduated dentist worked on it for an hour. Hurt like hell. Later I felt painful sensation for a few years. They told me it was normal. One decade Later. A New Zealand dentist told me one of the nerve root was still there after X-ray. Somehow it settled. I still has one live nerve under the crown.
By me it was "funny" to. Was by the dentist and he sayed, that the nerves are dead. And begun the op without anesthetic. Until i feeled pain and he checked again. Than, he noticed, that 2 of 3 nerves was living. Than, he used anesthetic and removed all 3 nerves.
Hey y'all! Do you have a root canal coming up and want to know what to expect? I just had 1 of these guys done a couple months back and prepared for a second one but ultimately it was just a deep cavity. After 10 years of not going to the dentist and being quite dentalphobic here's my assessment: -Don't worry. It's nothing near as bad as what you expect it to be. -No, seriously. I had no pain at all during the procedure. -None. -I kind of noticed the shots...maybe? Pinch your arm but not that hard. That's the shot. -The procedure itself was so painless I asked for a mirror part way through because I was curious what it looked like. THAT'S how painless it was. -The next two nights I didn't chew on that side of my mouth because my chomper was tender. Sleeping was a bit of a pain because I grind my teeth sometimes. It was annoying at best. -The crown process is NOTHING. My tooth is better than ever. So please, adults, kids, everyone in between...truly there's nothing to worry about. I'd rather get a root canal than a manicure, because with a root canal I KNOW there's not going to be pain, but I've had some gnarly manicures in my time. 10/10, do recommend the dentist 100%.
I had a root canal done today and I had three injections to numb the area. I didn't feel any pain but after, when the anaesthetic wore off, I had mild toothache for about three hours, then it stopped and now 12 hours later it just feels very sore if I touch the area with my tongue. The only problem is that the tooth becomes brittle , breaks and will wear down to the gum line in time leaving behind dead roots. I know because i have lost all my bottom third/second and first molars to root canal treatments .I have since had all the dead roots removed and my health has improved drastically. You are right. The root canal treated teeth will wear down eventually as it's already dead. How about getting implants instead of getting root canal treatment ? I hope implants would last a lifetime.
It only happens when there is a missing tooth that needs to be replaced and so we need to prepare healthy tooth to form a BRIDGE OTHERWISE for tooth with root canal treated we can simply prepare the same and place crown Hope you got my point doctot

Why using eugenol based sealer in place of non eugenol sealer? 6.distal canal gp is short of the apex will it create apical seal ? 7. Why final restoration is not with composite?
It’s based on the tooth anatomy that we had learned in our postgraduate curriculum So we are trained professional and hardly go wrong and if in any case we may fell wrong then also we are trained to correct the situation Hope you got my point doctor
Doctor, I'm suffering from an infected tooth for 4 days already. I can't bear it any longer. I am even considering to end my life. The treatment will be done tomorrow. I'm scared that it might get darker/yellow after. Is that always the case? Or it can be prevented? Are there any solutions?
Oh no no pls don’t worry It’s very comfortable procedure when you get the treatment from a specialist The doctor numbs your tooth nerve and you won’t feel any pain And once the procedure is complete your natural tooth is saved So pls get it checked by your specialist doctor Preferably ENDODONTIST You will be happy so don’t worry Pls take care And message me any problem if you face
Yes Dr It’s always on the canal preparation like if you had done with 4% then use 4% Gp If used 6%then 6% gp But our aim is to seal canal perfectly so you may need to use accessory cones also to seal the canal
I didn’t see any problem with this molar until the dentist started digging. It’s more money for him to do a root canal. I don’t trust them, eventually they’ll remove the tooth and then he’ll get an implant which is a money making machine for them. I watched a dentist in Philippine restore a molar that was actually broken, you’ll never believe that tooth was rebuilt. I wish there were more of him.
Yes Doctor The video or the procedure you see here is a demonstration video It’s not on any patient but it’s for educational purpose in how to do ROOT CANAL TREATMENT Now As per your questions ,, the patient visits a dental specialist due to complaints of pain in a tooth and now according to you the doctor should not do any procedure and should just check and talk to the patient and let him or her go back Then I would like to clear 3 things over here 1. Tooth is the only organ in human body that cannot repair itself or with medicines so a dentist intervention is required 2. Before any procedure or treatment a DIAGNOSIS is required and patient is told about the problem he or she is suffering from before starting 3. If you or the patient is not ready for the treatment related to tooth because doctor will make so much money from you so you have an option to get that tooth removed so that your doctor can stop making money and you can enjoy with missing natural tooth in your mouth Hope you got my point
@@darrylmuse9948 Eventually the root canal treated tooth gets decayed and if you have a crown on the treated tooth you won't even know when the decay starts since you can't see the decay and don't feel any pain or sensitivity( as the tooth is already dead).
@@AtoZKidsdental but Doc ,implant is very painful &adding it needs-extraction of tooth to implant on Same place,is there’s any other solution to replace it. I mean can we fix removable tooth fixture instead of implant
That’s exactly what I got this past Friday! 😅 Yeah, they’re safe, but depending on several factors, they can get very expensive. Also, maxillary premolars can have 2 roots as well, so they can sometimes come at a cost comparable to that of a molar.
Hi, i'm currently going through rct and my doctor said she can only find one canal in that tooth, i.e in one of my upper molar. So in my next visit she searched again but still couldn't find more than one canal. She packed the hole with that white stuff and i'm under observation for another week. I read on the internet sometimes some people have only one cavity in the molars. But it hurts like having a cavity the next few days of my dental appointment but my doctor doesn't seem too worried about it. Should i be concerned?
Cavities can be remineralized (I had many). There is really no need to get your teeth drilled. Proper diet and mouth PH are the keys. Tooth enamel can be repaired in a few months with nano-hydroxyapatite and proper mouth PH. PH is key, if your PH is off try using a xylitol rinse throughout the day. Ozonated oil is great for infection and gum problems. The key concept here is PH. 98% of mouth bacteria is actually beneficial and these helpful bacteria do not like an acidic environment. If you are in a bad spot (like I was) get your diet in check and watch your mouth PH.
Open tooth to find canal openings, open canals using instruments, wash out canals and remove any decay, seal canals and tooth and cap it. I can be a dentist! 😆
Na na don’t worry Everything will be fine Actually this procedure is done to save your natural tooth in function so that you can eat well You will be fine just be relaxed
How do you suggest we clean the cavity after obturation and sealant etc is all over the place? Related question: right after obturation can we use or place hypochlorite in the chamber to clean it or will it seep into the interface of gp and dentine and compromise sealing?
I had rct and it was very painfull during the procedure even though I had anaesthetics Also the doctor told that it was going to be painful and it was common .So i thought it must be common and endured the pain😢 . It was so hard for me to endure for all the three appointments

i’m getting mine done in 2 days, i’m very very nervous. i’m scared there will be discomfort and i’m scared of the dentists’ drill😔 any advices?
No no don’t worry just be relaxed and ask every question you have in your mind with your doctor before undergoing treatment as this will relieve your anxiety
And pls don’t worry you will be fine
Question:
1. Why you have not use apex locator to locate the anatomical apex?
2. Why not using edta while bmp?
3. Why no use of hypo?
4. Why using triway syringe air ?
5. Why using eugenol based sealer in place of non eugenol sealer?
6.distal canal gp is short of the apex will it create apical seal ?
7. Why final restoration is not with composite?
how would you know that you are grinding the right spot.. is it possible that you could hit the wall and the grinder is off to the target root?
It’s based on the tooth anatomy that we had learned in our postgraduate curriculum
So we are trained professional and hardly go wrong and if in any case we may fell wrong then also we are trained to correct the situation
Hope you got my point doctor
@@AtoZKidsdental sir tooth anatomy means ever rct treatment starts from middle of tooth na??
No no doctor
Do you want to learn root canal treatment
Doctor, I'm suffering from an infected tooth for 4 days already. I can't bear it any longer. I am even considering to end my life. The treatment will be done tomorrow. I'm scared that it might get darker/yellow after. Is that always the case? Or it can be prevented? Are there any solutions?
Oh no no pls don’t worry
It’s very comfortable procedure when you get the treatment from a specialist
The doctor numbs your tooth nerve and you won’t feel any pain
And once the procedure is complete your natural tooth is saved
So pls get it checked by your specialist doctor
Preferably ENDODONTIST
You will be happy so don’t worry
Pls take care
And message me any problem if you face
Did its painful
No doctor
Your doctor will numb your tooth nerve
Just got mine done today it was nothing I was worried about the pain what pain the only pain you will have in my case is when the numbness go away
@@brandonharvey1081 yes exactly you are right doctor
Lovely presentation ❤️
Thanks for your appreciation doctor
It's a lot easier when half of the distal wall isn't missing and the tooth has a huge area of decay.
Yes Doctor
Excellent
Thanks doctor
Interesting, but that tooth is not a first molar, that tooth is a third molar.
Thanks, good video.
It seems so but when I crosss checked it is first
Nice....demonstration....
Thanks Doctor
Is one cone enough for rotary preparations? And with what bur do you clean the chamber after you obturate? Thanks
Yes Dr It’s always on the canal preparation like if you had done with 4% then use 4% Gp
If used 6%then 6% gp
But our aim is to seal canal perfectly so you may need to use accessory cones also to seal the canal
Yes Doctor
The video or the procedure you see here is a demonstration video
It’s not on any patient but it’s for educational purpose in how to do ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
Now As per your questions ,, the patient visits a dental specialist due to complaints of pain in a tooth and now according to you the doctor should not do any procedure and should just check and talk to the patient and let him or her go back
Then I would like to clear 3 things over here
1. Tooth is the only organ in human body that cannot repair itself or with medicines so a dentist intervention is required
2. Before any procedure or treatment a DIAGNOSIS is required and patient is told about the problem he or she is suffering from before starting
3. If you or the patient is not ready for the treatment related to tooth because doctor will make so much money from you so you have an option to get that tooth removed so that your doctor can stop making money and you can enjoy with missing natural tooth in your mouth
Hope you got my point
Good comment.
No dentist, no cavities, no pain and I am old. Only baking soda and peroxide for my teeth.
Good comment for me or for person above me😂😂
Great
Very nice 👌 👍
Thanks Doctor
It's too painful 😫😫😫
Don’t worry
It’s done to save your natural tooth
Super sir 😊
How long will this last? I was recently told root canals lead to tooth pulling’s?
If the treatment is done successfully under best protocols then it lasts for lifetime
Had so many root canals and eventually they all got pulled would of been cheaper just to have the tooth pulled
@@darrylmuse9948 Eventually the root canal treated tooth gets decayed and if you have a crown on the treated tooth you won't even know when the decay starts since you can't see the decay and don't feel any pain or sensitivity( as the tooth is already dead).
Wow that's so cool!
Thanks for your appreciation doctor
Doctor my question is :I almost lost my last teeth is it possible to replace them with permanent ones and if yes how long will they stay.
There are very good options now a days
IMPLANT DENTISTRY
so you get almost permanent solution
@@AtoZKidsdental wow thank you for your response
Your welcome doctor
@@AtoZKidsdental but Doc ,implant is very painful &adding it needs-extraction of tooth to implant on Same place,is there’s any other solution to replace it. I mean can we fix removable tooth fixture instead of implant

Doctor is it safe to have rct on our first molar of upper jaw as it will have 2-3 roots instead of incisors, canines or premolars?
Yeah it's safe
Yes it’s safe as it’s done by a specialist doctor
That’s exactly what I got this past Friday! 😅 Yeah, they’re safe, but depending on several factors, they can get very expensive.
Also, maxillary premolars can have 2 roots as well, so they can sometimes come at a cost comparable to that of a molar.
@@markwilson4078 yes hope so everything is fine with you
Jesus, how many times did you change the drill ?! My god.
It’s based on Sequence of preparation recommended especially focusing on apical preparation
Don’t worry
How did this story end?
It ended on a good with tooth save sand crowned
@@fireguy98gaming Yup he's right, so far so good with only one canal filled and crowned
Yes I know I am always right🤩
Wow awesome treatment done here 👍
Thanks for your appreciation doctor
Is it true that the more infected the tooth, the more “ soft or mushy” it is in the inside?
100%
Yes
class 👍👍, how do you record such a good video ...? any tips please
Thanks for your appreciation Doctor
Whole tooth core got destroyed. RCT approach is radically wrong. Science needs to come up with better ideas.
This is the best possible and most conservative approach available for inflamed and infected pulp…yes new innovations are required
Yes it’s always in the process and new innovations and technology is science especially ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE is on the way
Great work
Thanks for your appreciation doctor
Yes Doctor
You are absolutely right
What is PH.... How can i take care of that?
@@cloudyskygirl6224 pH is basically maintaining ph level of saliva above Criical ph of 5.5 so that the demineralisation will not occur
@@cloudyskygirl6224 Make a Xylitol mouth rinse and use it throughout the day.

Hope we had used DG16 probe
Can you pls highlight as in where
How do you suggest we clean the cavity after obturation and sealant etc is all over the place?
Related question: right after obturation can we use or place hypochlorite in the chamber to clean it or will it seep into the interface of gp and dentine and compromise sealing?
Awesome

I had rct and it was very painfull during the procedure even though I had anaesthetics
Also the doctor told that it was going to be painful and it was common .So i thought it must be common and endured the pain😢 . It was so hard for me to endure for all the three appointments
