In 2000 in China, I got this treatment without anesthetic. Back then over there without it was a standard practice. The New graduated dentist worked on it for an hour. Hurt like hell. Later I felt painful sensation for a few years. They told me it was normal. One decade Later. A New Zealand dentist told me one of the nerve root was still there after X-ray. Somehow it settled. I still has one live nerve under the crown.

    • @hasseo195
      @hasseo195 3 года назад +26

By me it was "funny" to.
Was by the dentist and he sayed, that the nerves are dead. And begun the op without anesthetic. Until i feeled pain and he checked again. Than, he noticed, that 2 of 3 nerves was living. Than, he used anesthetic and removed all 3 nerves.

Hey y'all! Do you have a root canal coming up and want to know what to expect?
I just had 1 of these guys done a couple months back and prepared for a second one but ultimately it was just a deep cavity. After 10 years of not going to the dentist and being quite dentalphobic here's my assessment:
-Don't worry. It's nothing near as bad as what you expect it to be.
-No, seriously. I had no pain at all during the procedure.
    -None.
-I kind of noticed the shots...maybe? Pinch your arm but not that hard. That's the shot.
-The procedure itself was so painless I asked for a mirror part way through because I was curious what it looked like. THAT'S how painless it was.
-The next two nights I didn't chew on that side of my mouth because my chomper was tender. Sleeping was a bit of a pain because I grind my teeth sometimes. It was annoying at best.
-The crown process is NOTHING. My tooth is better than ever.
So please, adults, kids, everyone in between...truly there's nothing to worry about. I'd rather get a root canal than a manicure, because with a root canal I KNOW there's not going to be pain, but I've had some gnarly manicures in my time.
10/10, do recommend the dentist 100%.

I had a root canal done today and I had three injections to numb the area. I didn't feel any pain but after, when the anaesthetic wore off, I had mild toothache for about three hours, then it stopped and now 12 hours later it just feels very sore if I touch the area with my tongue. The dentist told me this will be gone in three days. I must say, I was terrified of having the procedure done, but now, I'm so glad I screwed up my courage and went through with it

I had previously done mine without a numbing agents as my dentist didn't have that x-ray machine used to see if the canals had been rid of the roots or not, so basically my pain was the indicator if a root was touched by that threaded needle. The pain was so intense that my hands were trembling tremendously by the end of it, that relief was unreal.

  • @Zerpersande

    Japan…
Currently am in the process of getting a root canal. I’m interested in the process so here I am on RUclips. Differences…
    - Never seen a dental dam used here and this is my third root canal.
    - Dentist may have used rotary files initially but a LOT of filing was done by hand
    - I’m on my 7th or 8th visit. The dentist is making sure the roots areas have no blood in them.
    - Anesthetic injections are absolutely 100% painless. I had one American dentist that did that and he stated that ALL dentists know how to do it but that 1) it’s much faster with the painful method and 2) it doesn’t hurt them so why not.
    - Dental is covered by the national health insurance. Each of my follow up visits cost about $1.25 with the current exchange rate.

The only problem is that the tooth becomes brittle , breaks and will wear down to the gum line in time leaving behind dead roots. I know because i have lost all my bottom third/second and first molars to root canal treatments .I have since had all the dead roots removed and my health has improved drastically. Best advice.....look after your teeth!

I'm a fan of the master cone obturation technique over other techniques like the continuous wave as it is a mega time saver, but with a bioceramic sealer and hydrocondensation as a minimum.

I didn’t see any problem with this molar until the dentist started digging. It’s more money for him to do a root canal. I don’t trust them, eventually they’ll remove the tooth and then he’ll get an implant which is a money making machine for them. I watched a dentist in Philippine restore a molar that was actually broken, you’ll never believe that tooth was rebuilt. I wish there were more of him.

    • @AtoZKidsdental
      @AtoZKidsdental  3 года назад +5

      Yes Doctor
The video or the procedure you see here is a demonstration video
It’s not on any patient but it’s for educational purpose in how to do ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
Now As per your questions ,, the patient visits a dental specialist due to complaints of pain in a tooth and now according to you the doctor should not do any procedure and should just check and talk to the patient and let him or her go back
Then I would like to clear 3 things over here
      1. Tooth is the only organ in human body that cannot repair itself or with medicines so a dentist intervention is required
      2. Before any procedure or treatment a DIAGNOSIS is required and patient is told about the problem he or she is suffering from before starting
      3. If you or the patient is not ready for the treatment related to tooth because doctor will make so much money from you so you have an option to get that tooth removed so that your doctor can stop making money and you can enjoy with missing natural tooth in your mouth
      Hope you got my point

So in my next visit she searched again but still couldn't find more than one canal. She packed the hole with that white stuff and i'm under observation for another week. I read on the internet sometimes some people have only one cavity in the molars. Cavities can be remineralized (I had many). There is really no need to get your teeth drilled. Proper diet and mouth PH are the keys. Tooth enamel can be repaired in a few months with nano-hydroxyapatite and proper mouth PH. PH is key, if your PH is off try using a xylitol rinse throughout the day. Ozonated oil is great for infection and gum problems. The key concept here is PH. 98% of mouth bacteria is actually beneficial and these helpful bacteria do not like an acidic environment. If you are in a bad spot (like I was) get your diet in check and watch your mouth PH.
