The lower wisdom teeth can be included in different ways: vertical, horizontal, oblique inclusion. The techniques for removing wisdom teeth included are very varied. That is why in this video we will see the case of an Oblique inclusion, where it would be difficult to extract it vertically in a single step. For this reason the wisdom tooth must be sectioned into 2 or more parts to be removed from the jaw bone.
If you have been scheduled to undergo this type of surgery, you should not be afraid, trust your surgeon and clear all your doubts before starting. Since communication before, during and after surgery is very important.
Post wisdom teeth removal care:
- Do use ice pack during the first 24 hours to help reduce swelling.
- Do eat soft foods and drink fluids during the first two days.
- Do take it easy, knowing you can resume normal activities witing a relatively short period of time.
- You may be prescribed medications to hel with disconfot.
- Don´t use a straw for at least 24 hours. the presure created by the suction may dislodge blood clots.
- Don´t rinse your mouth vigorously until clotting is complete. Your surgeon may recommend gentle salt water rinses to aid healing.
- Don´t smoke. It may disturb blood clots and healing.

Right. I hope we had such fantastic training tools when I was in the dental school back in 1995.
We had plastic models that didn't presumable real life situation like this one!
There are three missing elements though :
1- Tons of intraoral fluids (bleeding, saliva...).
2- A closed cavity environment, where the entrance is limited, the angulation of surgical instruments insertion is also very limited.
3- The real patient interrupting each once and a while.
I enjoyed watching this video, dental students of today are blessed to have such tools, and to have internet to watch it for free. Thank you.

Just had mine done today. I was in a bit of pain after the surgery, especially when the anaesthesia began to wear off, but ibuprofen seems to have helped a lot - I’m almost pain free now. This video is great, really helps me to understand what they actually did.
I had mine done like a week ago. The recovery isn’t bad at all.
The fact that I can’t eat chips and burgers is more painful than the actual recovery lol.
I'm having mine done soon, can you give some advise. What method did you picked general anesthesia or local I'm Soo nervous 🩹😭
@@belquintanilla8895 Mine a was local anathesia. It didn’t hurt at all - just felt a lot of pushing and shoving to get the tooth out which I was told was normal.
If you can, I would recommend getting CT scan before the surgery. After I wrote that comment I noticed my chin and lower lips still felt numb a few days later, so I went back to the dentist and they told me I’d gotten some nerve damage from the extraction, and they don’t ‘think’ it’s been permanently severed. I haven’t been able to feel my chin for the last 4 weeks, but luckily the feeling is starting to coming back. It was a bit worrying to think that this might’ve been permanent though. They say the chances of it being permanent is 1 in 100, so it isn’t common, but it can happen.
Sorry, I know this probably doesn’t help your nerves at all, but I thought it would be best to tell you about the whole experience. A CT scan will help them to see where the nerve sits in relation to the wisdom tooth. I did the scan just before my surgery and they still ended up hitting the nerve so it isn’t a guarantee, but i think it could’ve been worse if I haven’t got it.
I know lots of people who had an extraction and didn’t get a scan and were fine, but I personally prefer to take the extra precaution. The chances are 1 in 100.
Other than that, everything was fine! Try to avoid touching the wound for a few days to prevent dry socket. Take painkillers and get lots of rest! You’ll begin to feel normal within a few days to a week. Good luck!
I just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. They didn’t put me to sleep, but I did get the laughing gas and the numbing around the area. I didn’t have any pain afterwards. I started taking pain medication before the numbing wore off and I kept an ice pack on all day after the removal. That and a lot of prayer,Is what made this process so smooth for me. So don’t be afraid just make sure you do exactly what the dentist tells you to do and this process will be fine.

The nerve of the tooth (RCT) is only removed when this nerve is affected, when the caries has reached this tissue. Root canal treatment will prevent the tooth from becoming infected and eventually being lost. A well-performed treatment has no side effects.

The suture is optional, if the suture was not punctured you must take good care of the wound and prevent food from getting into it.

Hola doctor siempre sigo sus videos. Aquí en Argentina me harán un implante y la odontologa propone sacar la muela de juicio y hacer implante de segundo molar el mismo día, es viable??? Según dijo el procedimiento se puede hacer. Usted que opina. Gracias!!!
claro que es posible, incluso muchas veces extraemos muchas piezas dentales y en la misma cirugia colocar múltiples implantes. Lo único que cambia es que la herida será un poco más extensa, pero con los cuidados respectivos todo saldrá bien.

На самом деле болеть будет десна и очень сильно после того, как пройдет действие анестетика. Помогает болеуталяющее.

I am 17 i started getting 2 of my wisdom teeth and i went to dentist to check he said me to get a X RAY and i was very scared.Then the X RAY showed that i will be getting all 4 wisdom teeth but all of them are straight as of now and he told me not to worry

They can be preserved only if they are in a good position and there is space in the jaws for them to erupt correctly. Therefore, I advise you to follow your dentist's recommendations.

Infiltration anesthesia is definitely insufficient in the lower molars.
But I understand this is just a presentation.
I had 3 of them removed,one remaining.My dentist advised me to remove the last one.Having it without any pain many many years and watching the video,I decided to leave it alone until it is got to be removed
A mi me la sacaron completa sin romperla como he visto en otros de sus videos y con las herramientas que usan me pincho,punzo y lastimo el paladar 2 veces..( no se si eso es normal)
Me hicieron puntos y me dijeron que vaya dentro de 1 semana para retirarlos pero hoy es el dia 3 de la extracción y tengo como dura la mandíbula y duele muchísimo no solo la extracción si no tambien al tragar por la lastimadura del paladar a pesar de estar tomando antibiótico y analgésico..
el post operatorio suele ser muy variado, pero con los cuidados respectivos todos los síntomas pasarán.

सर मैंने कल 7/3 को नीचे का आखरी दांत निकाल है डां ने खाना खाते समय चुभन और दर्द हो रहा है टाके लगे हैं _ चुभन और दर्द कितने दिन रहता है
ये असुविधाएं कम से कम 7 से 10 दिनों तक बनी रहती हैं और धीरे-धीरे कम हो जाती हैं
