Narcissists are Hoovering after discard too, actually since they treat the victims as objects or appliances, they think they always own you so they can come back and try to extract more supply, it is like fuel to them. They cannot live without their fuel and based on what is going on in their fuel matrix and the proximity of the victim, they hoover you to extract more from you. It is never a final discard, it is more like a disengagement. Rarely, when they know you know they are narcissists and you may reveal to the world who they are, they may leave you alone. It also depends if they have a new source of supply, a shinier appliance...if they are malignant you are doomed!!!🙏
I am very appreciative that people such as yourself are taking these steps to shine a light on this disgusting and devastating topic. I am recently out of a 14 year relationship with a covert narcissist. I knew this person since we were 15. Got together at 30, thought I'm so lucky, someone I thought that I could completely love and trust, for the first time in my life, and I did. 10 years in and I had went from successful and confident to depressed and suicidal. Only to have that person that I trusted with everything to not care at all when j came to her for help cause I didn't know what to do. Followed by 4 more yrs of me going to a crazy extent to dk every and anything to make her happy while she cheated or did everything to make it seem that way, just to tell that it's my fault and left. And this is the shortest, nicest possible version of he on earth and the saddest part is I'm a very loyal partner and it's been a year but I still love her to this day. And that's not even mentioning the physical injuries she caused me right before she left which im still dealing with.
Got hovered back after a year after I left him. But it wasn't the same - my "knight in shining armor " image of him was gone. Even he himself said "somethings different". When he dumped me a year later, I was relieved! Been 7 yrs no contact and doing well!!

Thanks for answering. He isn’t aren’t letting me get through to him. He insists on getting married to the narcissist and now blames me for the existing issues... we have lost communication because I am being abused now by my own son via the narcissist. It’s a mess!!!

Blow up the relationship, attempt to sell the family home (i bought her out), see evidence of a side relationship (looked on her phone but never told her I knew), 5 months of mediation come to a settlement, devastate the kids. The day I am scheduled to goto the lawyer she is having second thoughts, and she admits actually you were right and I was having mental health issues I refused to resolve or address…. Uhhhh too bad, deals done I’m moving on.
My narc coworker got exposed by our boss last week. I used to be her scapegoat. But after the exposed, she turned me into her golden partner. The narc started to ignore her previous golden partner and hoovered me.

How can a state (AZ) force my daughter to live in a state where she has no help, no support, no job due to the pandemic by giving her narc ex who is a 10 yr heroine addict on same high dose of methadone for 5 yrs the power to say no to taking their child out of the state??? He doesn't work because he is mooching off his parents the same way he mooched off my daughter for 11 yrs of the 13 yrs marriage. He doesn't pay child support and due to the drug abuse he was only given 15 hrs a week parenting time. But we live on the east coast. She has no job no money nothing and the state doesn't care. Her father and I are paying for everything in order for her to stay out there to satisfy his 15 hrs which by the way he cancels on a regular basis because he is tired and didn't sleep....blah blah blah.......but yet he and his parents pay nothing and see our granddaughter every week. What the hell is going on with these laws and is there anything we can do to change this???
How do you handle a situation when you’re going through a divorce with a covert narcissist who has everybody fooled do you present that to the judge even though they have not been diagnosed can you tell the judge he has all of the traits and characteristics of one to qualify to be diagnosed as a narcissist
Yes I realize that and for once in my life after the hell I have been through and still know that I have a lot more to go through I want to stand up and make these judges aware I want to stand up and speak for all of us victims who have suffered at the hands of these pathological psychopath narcissist dear God when does it stop I don’t know about you but I am willing to stand up and take a little bit of the rough stuff to help everyone else who is going through this hell and when I say hell I do mean hell!!!!!!! It is not wise to use the N word in court because you are not a professional to diagnose them. A lot of judges are not familiar with narcissism.
