I would be interested in seeing a video on top 3 brushes in each category. That way I can really narrow down where my money should be going!

Sigma makes amazing brushes but wait for a sale
Wayne goss and refer have some great brushes. Personally I like smaller brushes then she uses and I like mine round. - best tip I have is see what you like in your collection - what density and shape so you can get the same style in natural hair :) I love me some fluffy brushes 🎨

I was going through my brushes today and thought I would scroll through Mel's brush video to help me decide what I should declutter of my collection. Not only was she a treasure to all of us but she has left us all with such a wealth of knowledge and expertise. We should all keep watching all her videos not only to keep the channel going but it provides us with so much important information just like this video did for me today.

I love my Wayne Goss & Rephr brushes. The Esum & Tom Ford ones are nice but I'd say stick with Rephr & Goss. They're far better imo. I never got into Scott Barnes or Smith brushes. Sonia G is on my to try list this year.
2020 was the year I found fude. I spent a small fortune on fude brushes. I buy back ups too!! Sonia G, Wayne and chikuhodo are everything 💞
Surprised you don't have any Sigma brushes besides the fan brush. Sigma brushes are actually great quality they come with a 2 year warranty, are silver/gold/rose gold plated for maximum durability, have screws in their ferrules so the breakdown is literally impossible, all that aside from the bristles process. If you decide to give their brushes a try do asap There's a sale going on right now.
Hey Mel, Have you ever considered donating your decluttered items, eyeshadow palettes and brushes to a women's shelter ? They literally have nothing but what is on their backs and can you imagine the joy they would have from even one palette and a couple of brushes. They have to re start their lives with little or nothing & often look for work. It was be amazing if you would consider it. Thanks

I would love to see how you clean your brushes. Yours always look like they’re brand new!
I used to use the beauty blender soap. My brushes still had residue. Then a friend turned me on to using ZOTE soap. It's found in the detergent isle for $2 @walmart or home depot. I cut a bar into 3 smaller pieces for manageability. My brushes look brand new & stay super soft.

@@onecuet I’ve used the Zote soap before and it does a great job. One problem I have though, is my brushes don’t go back to their original shape even after molding them while they’re wet. I just didn’t know if she had a great trick to getting hers so clean and looking brand new.

Hey Mel, I hope the weather where you are is not bad & I hope everyone in your family is staying safe and warm. I wanted to say that most of my life I used cheap brushes & I had a few Mac brushes mostly eye brushes but in the last I say about 4 years I got into buying better brushes. I have a have face brushes now but I have more eye brushes then one person needs. But it was you and 3 other RUclipsrs that got me into BK Beauty, Bdellium Tools, Rephr, Sonia G, Smith, Wayne Goss, Scott Barnes and others. I have really been enjoying them. There are a few that are very pricey that I may try if I can get them. But my favorite high end brushes is Sonia G & Rephr. I also have midrange price brushes that are good as well. But I really don’t need to buy anymore brushes. But I just can’t help myself. I really enjoyed watching you do a declutter of your makeup brushes. I was watching saying wait I’ll take that one. Knowing I don’t need anymore brushes. But Thanks I had fun watching & I think you did very well. Till your next video. Stay warm & safe please. 😘🙏

Not surprised the Kylie brushes are being decluttered. I feel like there was a lot of hype and marketing and not a lot of thought behind that line...
I could NOT believe how expensive those brushes were! Mindblowing.
I always base my purchasing decisions on declutter videos. If a product survives the cut multiple times its a pretty safe purchase

Girl you have sooo many brushes. Really interesting which ones your keeping. You gave me the inspiration to declutter mine. It’s the synthetic ones I tend to keep when I don’t need to. Definitely keeping my natural hair brushes.Because of you and Alyssa I’ve gotten quit a collection of the natural hair and I just love those so much! Great clean out girl. You are letting go so many! I have tendonitis so i tend to use bigger brushes to have good control in products applications
My favourite type of brushes are powder brushes ❤ using it all over face is just the best feeling .

I love to see brush declutters. I have 2 original MAC eye brushes that I've had forever and I baby them because the synthetic versions are not the same. This year I want to invest in better brushes as I have so much make-up it makes sense to spend on tools now.

I'm still angry at MAC for going synthetic on brushes... So many good ones, and a few that I never got to buy that I now want and I can't get... I have been getting into Hakuhodo lately, have a few Wayne Goss ones, but I just love Hakuhodo and the huge selection they have!

Declutters are so satisfying I can imagine you have great brushes. I gave brushes all over the place because I get them in beauty boxes, order them and get them as gifts. I live brushes and can admit I’m a brush hoarder lol I can’t believe I typed that 😂😂 tfs

I'm barely staring to invest in brushes...I got all the BK beauty..and I got the repher face n eye set that was released around the holidays...still have not used those ..lol..can u do an in-depth video explaining the difference in synthetic and natural hair brushes and what is best to use with what products..??My next buy for brushes I think might be Zoeva or Wayne Goss...I just want to know more about brushes..thanks sweety for a great video...I still got a little bit left to see on your makeup collection video ..I'm on the part of your collector palettes 😄😄😄😄

what do you think about MAC 287 brush? I think it's the smaller version of 187
the only way i use a flat foundation brush if it its a cream compact foundation to apply it and then use a beauty blender to buff it in
