I was born a metalhead, as my mother used to listen to Metallica a lot when she was pregnant. But I did not know until I got my first CD player (~ 11 yo) and started browsing through my parents' CDs. Found metallica (albums from Kill em all to Reload), dad suggested Master of Puppets and damn I was astonished. Got high five from both of my parents \m/ after I told them that is the best thing I have ever heard.
Watching James Hetfield’s interviews, he explained that the beauty of this song is that it isn’t wasn’t really intended to be about drugs. It can be related to any vice; alcohol, drugs, adrenaline, gambling, relationships, etc. Most people can relate to struggles of something controlling them or feeling like they aren’t in control. Awesome song! One of my favorites.
My father introduced me to 80’s thrash metal I immediately fell in love 😍 with it. I love that heavy crunch crunch 🎸 Well, mainly Metallica’s songs are based on drug addiction, mental illness, political violence & pure rock & roll rebellion I love the intro “ to live is to die”. Seriously though, I've said since the beginning of this reaction trend, that if there's one major upside to just anybody with a RUclips account doing these, it'll be from the ones who are exposing others to good music that otherwise would never have given it a chance, or from uploaders that are checking out these artists themselves, continuously giving this style of music another chance with an open mind. The beginning is about an addict screaming for a fix, then it goes all mellow because they obeyed their master (got a hit). You'll notice how the tempo of the song speeds up as they come down from their high, then the master starts calling again. Then it's full on again the master pulling your strings.
She might like crowd reactions but I feel like she'd like the songs better if you used a studio recording. Better audio quality and she'd actually be able to understand the lyrics.

She might enjoy these two songs. The crowd was amazing, and so was the band.
Hilarious thing I read about master of puppets live performances in a magazine. At 4:53 James yells something which Kirk Hammett never understood what he actually says. So, one day he asked cliff burton what the hell is James screaming at the intro of master of puppets which cliff replies,” I think he’s saying pancakes.” Now I recommend you guys to watch that 4:53moment and imagine him screaming pancakes 😂😂
Creeping Death in this same concert for a good crowd reaction lml
Josue Sierra 100%. That’s easily there best crowd song and this concert was probably the best example of it
I'm late with this comment but your daughter's reaction to James' blood curdling laugh at 11:17-11:18 is priceless..lol.
Best concert in Metal history. Best solo with the interlude
Can you imagine if Metallica opened up like this now...epic.
P. S: You can find this concert on RUclips with lyrics
I don't know if this has been recommended, but Devin Townsend is a musical genius. He plays anything from super heavy metal to acoustic stuff. "Deadhead" is my favorite, and probably one of his most popular songs. Please check it out!

I'm a 14 year old teen boy and I ducking love metallica. The whole reason I've been learning to play guitar like Kirk
That one part is " master, master, where's the dreams that I've been after master master promised only lies. Laughter laughter all I hear or see is laughter. Laughter laughter, laughing at my cries.
