  • In this video we are etching the pcb (printed circuit board) with Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxid
we use 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% vinegar with 1/2 tea spoon salt
    HCl+H2O2, and then switched to CuCl2+HCl w/H2O2
Instead, combines vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and salt. It's easier to find vinegar than muriatic acid (Cupric Chloride is made using this, peroxide, and adding the copper) so this is something to keep in mind if you're in a pinch (or a Macgyver situation). The rest of the process is what we're used to

Ive read that hcl will eat away a mask made or repaired with ink so the hcl route sorta requires a laser printer, will this have the same problem or do ink masks work properly with it? Im really impressed with how quickly this seems to work

the music is nice, but the details are missing - what concentration vinegar, and peroxide ?
50/50 is combining 2 solutions that are definitely not 100%

      1 Vinegar (doesn't matter) + 1 peroxide 10% probably + 1g salt.
Make your won tests and figure it out bettter.

@@robertotr You just get one used to disinfect wounds and it works, I think I also heated them up but I am not sure if that's really required.

Does using 3% hydrogen peroxide and 5% acidity vinegar work for etching?

Coming across this after 1 year but it looks like it might be photosensitive dry film

Thanks for sharing.. May I ask if this process will work on all metals including aluminium or steel?

depends if chemistry works out. You can try, but I think it's only able to do this with copper

Anyone here thinking of trying a hydrochloric acid (HCL) etch should MAKE SURE they read up on how to store HCL, because it rusts metal nearby even if closed tight.

How long did it take for the solution to completely remove the unwanted copper?

Does it also work with 6% white vinegar? Or is it too strong? Thank you, good job!

Obviously it will be faster, or you know you could just like add distilled water to it and you get 3%

I have a crystal farm for it ;) But otherwise I think you'd have to see how bad it is to throw it out. Or maybe look if you can reclaim copper.
