Any suggestions for a whole house colour with the old oak floors. They are the old yellow/orange colour. Would really like something updated but neutral. Thanks!!
BM Pale Oak turned yellow in my living room, and purple in the bedroom. Thankfully we only used samples. We chose Behr Dove, and it looked beautiful for 1.5 weeks, then cured to pink/ purple. Costly mistake. Behr paint applies beautifully, but can cure to funky colors.
I used Pale Oak in a north facing bathroom and it is beautiful and I love it. I put a huge sample on my bedroom walls that gets West light and it looked very violet. Greiges and greys are heavily influenced by light, and interior elements. It's best to do just go ahead and purchase a quart of the actual paint (not sample paint-not the same! ) and put a BIG sample on your walls. Only then will you know!
That’s true and I recommend all my clients to get a real paint sample not the sample when you’re about to invest thousands of dollars in painting your home. Thank you for sharing and happy to hear BM Pale Oak worked in your bathroom:)
I need your help! I have the golden oak cabinets. Dark brown granite. My backsplash is glass with some coppers in it. I have a copper farmhouse sink. What color can I paint my cabinets to make the kitchen look more up to date?
My bed room faces east and full of Colorado sunshine. I like Benjamin Moore AF-690 because of the green beige gray characteristics. I'm wondering if French Canvas would compliment, be enough contrast, or is it just a lighter version of Metropolitan? I do want a neutral pale green and these two seem to appeal to me the most. Please share your thoughts.
New subscriber! Building lake property in Coeur d Alene Idaho. Have used Dover white in the past but leaning Creamy. South facing floor to ceiling windows. All wood floors and beams… walnut tones. Dover leaned brighter so chose creamy for Walls throughout. House exterior is hard. Lots of stone and the dark timber. Looking for a cream for bat n board siding. Most creams wash out in natural lighting. Looking at neutral ground, natural linen??? Want color to stay cream not beige tan or taupe. Any exterior suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you
That’s hard question to answer without knowing what your fixed elements are and etc. You can pair it with a warm greige, light warm gray, off whites, taupes and green beiges to name a few.
Please tell me what soft off white color can i paint my walls to match warm furnishings like dusty pinks and soft moss greens ? I have lots of natural lighting and want a soft cozy white
