I’m so glad we are leaving the gray years behind!!! Thanks for the inspiration! ☺️
????? Some of the colors picked are gray.
Benjamin Moore Simply White. Just painted the whole house and I love it!
Hi how many coats did you have to paint?
Swiss coffee for the walls, simply white for the kitchen cabinets, trim, doors and ceiling, love it 💕
Is your space north facing by any chance?
I love color. Boho girl here who hates grey. I chose warm tones. Just did my kitchen in Behrs color of 2021 canyon dusk. I love it 😻
Sounds fun, I really want to see it
Can we all take a moment to acknowledge how gorgeous Sharrah is. She just gave birth not too long ago and is looking amazing! All these tips are great 👍 I painted my home Simply white which is Offered by Behr and Benjamin Moore. Both of the brands have a beautiful take on Simply white. I know when ever I need inspiration Sharrah and Becky are a go too. Love this family!
I can't agree m ore!!!! she's amazing and breaks down solid information.
We have Light Tan walls & yes I chose!!!
I LOVE the WARM & COZY colors!!!🥰
I chose Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray for our house. I love it! It's a fantastic neutral and it made my tiny space look huge!
Love how nice and crispy your house is staring to look. Love the colors you chose. Color is something I have strangle with since the sun light is different in every wall
Samplize, peel and stick paint samples, are amazing! You can see your paint in different lights and the samples are 12x12, large enough to get a real feel for that color.
Just did a whole house refresh over the last few months, and used Revere Pewter, Balboa Mist, and York Gray (a colonial Williamsburg color). We love them all. Our go to white is BM White Dove. I'm considering the York Gray for our kitchen cabinets, just used it on a bathroom vanity and it looks so nice with a white marble top.
Thank you for giving this list of paint colors- it’s so helpful!
We have a tan coffee color on our walls and ceilings which was there when we bought our house. It's something that was trendy when I was growing up but my husband and I are planning to repaint our house to give it a lighter more spacious feel. I love the color of your walls and how the white window and door frames still make their own statement. Thank you for the inspo!
Sharrah is always classy & stylish. I love to watch their videos they always leave me with a smile & good bubbly feeling. She asked for us to share about our homes. We just built our empty nesters home & moved in 4 weeks ago!!! YEAH...I have Sherwin Williams Repose Gray throughout the entire house (except in my master bedroom where the trey ceiling is 2 shades darker gray).
I just painted most of my house Alabaster from Sherwin Williams and I loved it!! It’s a warm, creamy white that makes my dark house feel light and warm.
Does it look slightly green or yellow sometimes?
Your home and your Moms home... are just gorgeous!!🌷🌸🌺
In my first house I used Valspar’s Cream in My Coffee. It’s a warm creamy white. I hope to use it again in my new house. I’ve never been a fan of the cool colors, I much prefer warm tones.
Cream in my coffee is my favorite wall color!! It's so clean, calming and beautiful!
I've been considering this color for months. Thanks for this.
@@MT-sb2oe Have you used this color yet? You will love it!! My husband didn't want me to paint so I waited till he went to work 😉 when he came home he was shocked at how big it made our house look and painted the rest of the walls Cream in my Coffee LOL every once in awhile he'll tell me how much he loves this new wall color! It just has such a bright yet calming effect!
My favorite is Renewed by Magnolia. It is a perfect soft beautiful in my bedroom and large family room. It’s a green-gray-beige depending on the lighting. Love it!
The largest part of my home is painted with a taupe looking color that seems green at certain times. It was already here when we purchased the Townhouse. I really like it because it goes with everything.
I chose Simply White from Ben Moore for my whole house and I love it!
Me too! I'm so happy that i did it. My dining room feels like a marshmallow....lol.
Same it’s fantastic. Feels clean but doesn’t feel cold
We'll hopefully be decorating soon and I was so stuck on colours but this video has helped so much because they are all exactly what I had in mind! All the walls in the house are currently beige which I'm sick of! I live in Greece so not sure if I'll be able to find the brands you mentioned, but I'll take a look online. Any dupes for them?? Thankyou so much x
Excellent content on a complex subject presented in a clear and straight forward manner. Great job! My 1929 vintage cottage interior is painted in Benjamin Moore “Cream Froth” , a very warm white which makes me smile. It is like being inside a billowy white cloud on a sunny day!
Fellow Tulsan here: Yes, I got to choose it. I love a soft pale yellow. It is an older Behr color. It is called Vanilla Milkshake. I have some soft blue shades in other rooms also in our home.
Simply white by Benjamin Moore, Gray Mist by Benjamin Moore, Crisp Muslin by Dunn Edwards, Cloud White by Benjamin Moore, Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore And . . . Natural Gray by Behr. The last color you said is actually the color in my house 🤗 Yay!
"Chantililly " Too cute.
We painted half of our home Agreeable Grey and the other half Pure White by Sherwin Williams. Our living room, dining room; and office are Agreeable Grey. Kitchen and bedrooms are pure white. We used the cashmere finish and love it. Agreeable Grey is our favorite neutral 😀
At our new house we used Benjamin Moore Moonlight White on the walls with Simple White trim. I did get to pick the colors. I’m loving it so far! Moonlight White is soft & creamy and then the Simple White is a nice crisp pop!
Aww...there goes all that beautiful stained molding. I’m really loving the color of Sharrah’s top!
Moving into a new apartment, but they said we could paint as long as we brought the original color back when we leave! This video is coming at the perfect time!
Just painted my main living walls and trim in Simply White and I’m obsessed.
When we built our home 6 yrs ago, I chose Macadamia for my open floor plan walls, Softer Tan for the high ceilings and Moderate White for the crown moldings and columns. I still love it!
What brand paint?
We use Chantilly Lace for all the borders and trim and doors in our home.
So pretty
I just painted my whole house simply white and love it! I did paint 2 rooms in White Dove from Benjamin Moore and those came out beautiful as well!
Just picked up some simply white for my new home. I just know its going to be beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us your go to colors. I will be using some of the grays for the outside of the home.
I love everything Kinwoven. This video came just in time. Tks !
Accessible Beige - when COVID19 hit I painted the interior of my whole house this great neutral! I am loving it!
I have a living room that is taupe and the dining room is a darker taupe. My kitchen is a celery color! I love the baseboards white. Thank you for all of your help with all of our decorating problems! We love you and your mom!
Loved your video! You explain colors and their undertones in a way for people to understand.
I work at Sherwin-Williams but I make these BMoore colors on the daily.
I'd love to see a video of SW colors as well if you've tried any :)
Thanks for sharing!
SW Alabaster in my master bedroom. I love it, going to use in my whole house.
We rent and our whole house is like a warm beige, but the one room we got to paint is our nursery which has dark green accent walls!
My house is painted with Ben Moore paper white , i love it . It’s like living in a cloud with a slight hint of gray , soft and airy .
Sounds pretty! Is it cool toned?
@@AVA-MARIA It’s the perfect color , more neutral than cool or warm . It’s a chameleon in every room depending on lighting .
@@lisatague305 thank you so much I’ll have to check it out!!
Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for!!!
So done with grey everything. Thanks to the whole grey trend for the past several years, many people are living in “battleships”. Anyway, I love Sherwin Williams Origami White (eggshell). It’s a super pale greige/taupe which goes with everything. My ceiling colour is Extra White in matte which really brightens up a room, especially with low natural light. I should mention I have a design background so I feel I have a clue with such things. I am intrigued with some of the colours you mentioned so I’ll check them out, I have cases of BMs colours so I’ll see if any of those are from early 2000s but chances are they’re newer. I used to be a colour specialist who worked primarily with Benjamin Moore (they had the lowest VOCs at the time) but now my go-to brand is Sherwin Williams. Non-toxic is super important as you know. Please let everything you get for your son, off-gass out of the packaging for a few days before letting him use it. Please share some ways to celebrate Spring with seasonal decor touches.
Yep definitely the battleships and prison cells look. I never liked gray on walls or as a main color. Always had my walls painted light colors, especially beiges.
I agree 100%. So OVER gray! Never liked it to start with!
I have a light warm grey with mirrors and warm woods neutrals. It works well without looking like a prison. It made the whites pop. Our light is different over here. Yellow even cream tones look terrible in our light. They look old and mucky. New England brand colours work here but the brand is gone now. .
Our walls were painted Greige when we bought it. Love it! My office is painted Calm Teal. ♥️
The good old nineties light brown. I can't wait to repaint it. It was here when we moved in. In one of the bedrooms they added a green to tint to it so it looks like a swamp in there. Gag!
We just painted our guest bath walls Sherwin Williams Assessible Beiege and the cabinets SW Urbane Bronze. They are gorgeous together ❤
I painted my walls 7 different shades of white and hated every one! There was always weird reflection from my hardwood floors or from outside when the windows were open. Sitting on the sofa one day I looked up and noticed that I really liked my white ceiling. Went back to the store for trip number 8... Now my walls are ceiling white and it is PERFECT! Just bought an office space and I will be doing the same! Watch, I will only have to paint it once!
Thank you for the video. I have a better understanding of finishers. Now I know what to use where.
BM....Revere Pewter. Love it!
Oh such a beautiful color. I used SW Repose Gray which is in the same color tones. I love it too.
Thank you! Beautiful colors. I need help, I’m planning to paint my bathroom simply white. what color should I paint the ceilings, & baseboards?
Thank you in advance 🤍
Love the colors you guys have in your house. My den and living room color is, suede from Ralph Lauren. I’m ready to paint it all a light white , because my paint is 20 years old.
We got our house with white walls and we added a blush pink wall, a light green one and a turquoise wall. Love them all 😍😍
I love the color grey and swiss coffee
I love this video. I already bought gray paint for my Guest Bathroom, but I am going to buy the first gray that you showed for it. I am finding that since I have seasonal depression I need things to be light.
I love Divine White by Sherwin Williams, it’s a warm off-white and it makes me so happy. Very cozy.
I live in an apartment, so I don’t get to choose any paint colors, but, I once had a darling little house which was painted a nice shade of green and the door was eggplant! It was soooooooo nice!
Sounds awesome, Lola. Wouldn’t think of using those two colors together but I bet it looked great.
Graystone, from Kelly Moore. I chose it about 15 years ago and I still love it. It was an exterior color, but I had them mix it for my interior living room walls.
thank you for the tips! could you make a video on how to choose the right light bulbs please? I live in Tulsa and just bought a new home. my current walls are pure white with some gray accent walls. we are now switching to all simply whites, but not sure if Im not going to get bored with only white. 🤔
Thank you awesome girl for making our lives easier! Much love!
We bought a spec house and thank goodness they painted the whole place a light, cool tone. But I’ve since added some dark grey (almost black) accents to the downstairs office and the entry wall. The bedrooms are next on my list for a little pop of fun!
Sherwin Williams agreeable gray !!! I love it
My walls are a taupe in the living room and a celery in the kitchen. I chose the colors. I have a dining room that is a darker taupe! I don’t have any rooms that are white. I love the colors I’ve chosen with white baseboards. Thank you for all you do!!
Our current home has Sherwin Williams Bungalow Beige with Threshold Taupe here and there in the nooks or recessed areas. Love it for a warm cozy vibe. I’m not a “white” house person
I certainly think sharrah is looking beautiful..well done mumma. Thank you for your tips...interesting you say cream/off white is making a come back as we have just refreshed our house again in a light cream. If there such a thing.....thank you again. Love the ideas for different areas.
We built our open-concept home. The living room, dining room and kitchen are a soft butter yellow (no gray for us - we live in the Pacific NW). The master bedroom is a medium sage green. I surprised my hubby when he was on a guys trip by repainting the only bath a dark royal blue. We find the butter yellow very soothing, no matter the season.
My whole house is agreeable grey. It’s wonderfully adaptive.
The main color in our home is Kelley Moore Frost. It actually was the builder color when we had the house built 20 years ago. I had it painted flat. I’ve done some mild touch up through the years and it’s held up very nice and is the perfect white. We have painted a couple rooms in Greige and the kitchen was painted YEARS ago in a RH paint color I believe was called equestrian grey or something similar.
I used mostly Ben Moore Grant Beige, also Ben Moore Gettysburg Grey. My daughter's room we used Ben Moore French Linen. I love the softer earthy colors the best.
Love these tips!! Thanks!❤️
My whole house interior is a pale blue. We live in Houston Texas where it is so hot and humid. The pale blue gives the illusion of coolness.
Love your new house and the common sense you use in decorating it.
Very informative thanks. By the way can any of these colors be painted for a white floor
Hi ! So what shade/ color to use for a bedroom and hallway where natural & artificial light is a minimum ? I do love the colors and shades you're talking about in this video. Thank you 😊
In our living room we went with an accent wall called deep burgundy wine and the rest are cream. It's bold, but we were ready to try something new.
We used Gallery Taupe by Behr in our new home. We used matt finish everywhere except wet areas where we used eggshell finish. White semi gloss trim, it really pops, is very neutral we love it!
great video.. I have BM gray's in my home but so glad you introduced gray mist!! will use in my bedroom...
Awesome video and very helpful❣️ I can’t wait to see how your home and Rebecca’s evolve and transform. I need your help to guide me in the right direction. I have a set of built-in shelves in my living room where I have styled some antiques and other items with sentimental value to me. The antiques are shades of blues (e.g. navy, turquoise), and a reds (with blue undertones, not orange at all). My sentimental values are a set of creamy Lenox dishes. My question is I want to paint my room one of the white/gray colors you mentioned. Should I pull the color into the walls and back of those shelves too, or would it be better to paint another color to make these items pop? My current wall color is more beige-yellow, and the walls of those shelves have been painted in a brown (medium shade like latte). Appreciate your thoughts.
Hi sharrah, my whole house is in beige, so I always decorated with pillows and curtains. I have a question, We are going to be moving and selling in four months should we paint?
I'm wanting to paint the living room a cool grey. It's been a buttery yellow for almost 20 years. It's my mom's house and she painted it this color in the early 2000s. She passed in 2008 and my step dad hasn't wanted to paint. We are tired of yellow hues and I think I have finally convinced him. Grey Mist seems to be the perfect color. Thanks for the video!
We painted natural grey in our house, and sometimes it looks lavender to us. We do have bad light though, so that explains it. We are moving soon, and I want to switch it up in our next home to white. Thanks for the tips.
Our family room (northern exposure) is Revere Pewter and definitely does show its green undertone as the outside pool and FL landscape reflects onto it during the day. The main color in our home is Dove Wing by Benjamin More and I love that there is no flash of yellow that many creamy off- whites show. Our foyer is Dove Wing, 50% darker that adds richness. Walls are Matte finish, trim the same color but a satin finish. An adjacent office is BM Newburyport Blue. Love the combos!
A very timely post for me, Sharrah! I'm just about to paint my new place and can't decide on a color. At the moment, the walls are a very nasty tan-yellow color (think of a mix between weak tea and garden mulch!) so it really needs a change.
I love following your new home (and "new mom" journey!! Greetings from Scotland xx
We just painted most of our home’s interior Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter. In darker rooms we lightened it by 50%. If you haven’t played with lightening or darkening standard paint colors go for it.
We just painted our exterior BM Revere Pewter and LOVE it. It makes the house look so much bigger and goes with everything. I have 3 decks..front back and side and with Revere Pewter I can change the outdoor decor up at any time without it clashing with the Revere Pewter.
Our house was painted with SW Swiss coffee, but I started repainting our rooms 3 weeks ago with BM Stonington Gray. I'm thinking about Gray mist for the dining/kitchen and living areas.
Just in time! I’m about to paint my whole house to sell. I have used white dove by Benjamin Moore a lot in the past and was just gonna do that again, but now I like some of your recommendations!
My walls are Benjamin Moore revere pewter. I chose this color because it can be warm or cool, depending on what is next to it. And I LOVE it!!
My main living areas are painted in toasted white. I chose this color and I am very happy with it.
I had a friend tell me to use Kilim Beige from Sherwin Williams in my house 6 1/2 yrs ago. My house is 1200 sq feet and dark coffee wood floors and it's an old farmhouse- so recently I have been looking at new color options because I am thinking it seems too dark in my house sometimes.
When we bought our home, 10 yrs ago, every room was white....we didn't know if it was paint or primer, lol. I like the white bcuz our house is open concept with amazing natural light. Now I want a warm creamy white in the main spaces and soft or muted colors in the bedrooms, baths, family room and basement. I have colorful art throughout the house that pops off the white walls. Love it!!
I love color. I painted my kitchen a brighter white that had a micro amount of grey tinted to it. So when I paint my cabinets a creamy antique white it will look nice for a contrast of colors.
Accessible Beige in every room in our house currently. I’m leaning towards changing our living room and hallways to Pure White or Snowball by Sherwin Williams.
Love, love, love .... watching u & your mom on u tube...very, very helpful video, extremely helpful!!! Love your taste love your style!!
Thank you so much 💜
Half green and half yellow. I picked about 15 yrs ago but am overly tired of it. Ready for a change. All the room run together, dining, living, kitchen and hallway.
Same! Can’t go wrong with gold & green! I have it mixed in with a terracotta/clay kitchen. If I were to stay I’d definitely paint it but I am Going to sell & Every. Single. Realtor. Tells me to paint it white. I can’t be bothered lol
My bedroom is a gorgeous French blue. So restful as a bedroom color. The living, and kitchen are taupe. Need to change it up as it’s staring to look dirty around the edges.
In Florida I have painted my walls Natural Choice by BM, I love it as it is a very warm white and it actually takes on different hues depending on the light.
Pale oak and yes I got to pick it for our home, we own a 1940’s home, which we are currently renovating
Sherwin Williams Cardboard with stained wood trim. I chose the color for our custom build. It’s a very versatile color that goes with almost everything. I have recently wished I had painted the walls a couple shades lighter but I will live with it as it is, since we would have 3 levels to repaint.
I concur on "Simply White" my entire living room is Simply White. It's so bright but also cozy. And all my trim throughout the home is simply white and it is a great neutral white.
I have all wallpapered walls! Light background with tan bamboo and blue flowers. I've lived with it for 7 years. Yuk. I have decided to paint over it because there's no way am I am going to scrap it off! I just bought medium gray tweed sofas so will choose a neutral like greige. Any suggestions? Maybe white?
My walls are sw row house tan in eggshell. I did select it 6 yrs ago for our dining room addition. I am wanting to go a bit lighter & more neutral next time .
I have a beautiful soft butter sofa in formal living room, my question is what paint color should you recomend?
Will you be using wallpaper I haven’t watched all your shows so working on it.
