I charge 600 per day (but that'll go up next season) and am mostly booked out before the season even starts. I make between 10-15 k each month depending on how many days I take off. I only teach low intermediate and up, mostly kids. So I'm mostly skiing bumps, park, powder or trees. It actually means just 6 days of work. 3 days per week which is 36 hours which is considered full time and obviously thats how she is able to work a second job which is the other 4 days she is not working on the first job. She also has to pay for copays for medical treatment because most healthcare is not free in the U.S. even for healthcare workers and likely has to pay back student loans for nursing school and with her pay, she likely lives in a bigger city with high rent and home prices. She’s making pretty good money, but in the context of what living expenses she has to pay, its actually not that much and likely why she has side jobs in the first place.

Nope it's one of the worse job, trust me, I work in hospitals all over the US. One of the best things I've done was quit nursing school. I would have been miserable. I am a lab scientist. Work contract and a per diem. My last paychecks tot was $7000 net biweekly. I worked 108 hrs and was only taxed on about half those hours.

Proof that getting certified and/or licensed in something makes a huge difference in income. Smh, I wish classes in certifiable skills like this were quick to complete and low cost. The time it takes and the price make it hard to switch from a job to a career/profession/craft.

It’s good money but you’re living in CA. High COL, high taxes, long commutes and working whenever you’re awake. You’d make less, but you’d have a better life having only one job in Omaha, NE. You might make 80k but the COL and quality of life would more than make up the difference.

Make sure you're having extra taxes coming out so you don't owe them at the end of the year. I'm so tired of hearing you owe because they are not taking out enough taxes out. At least you will get what you put in instead of owning. Unless you have a write-off like property. I also work 3 jobs, and I received a pension because I retired from 1. FYI

It is sad because you should not have to work two jobs to make ends meet. You take home less than $4000 every two weeks fulltime. By the time you pay a $2000 mortgage, a $400 car note, $650 daycare for 2 two kids, groceries for $100 weekly, $500 for student loans, $250 for gas monthly, $200 for utilities, and $100 for tv subscriptions and internet, $150 for cell phone, $250 in self-care/movies/girl stuff, you are left with nothing.

Wonder how CA vs NY compares. I make 12K per month, not a big spender, but single and paying for everything on my own and financially support elderly parents when needed. Everything is so expensive! I need to move somewhere cheaper 😢.
