    Hey, use "--no text fonts numbers" at the end of your prompt in midjourney and it will create logos, cards etc without text (most of the time). Workload reduced by another 5-10%😂
    Edit: also with the business cards you can use "--ar 1.41:1" to get the right aspect ratio. That way it automatically fullscales the card.

    A note on your resume idea, its already shown that fancy resume templates are not ideal since you are not submitting the resume to a person but to a bot, (AI bot eventually) that scans the information. There been case studies that shown putting pictures and fancy fonts rejects your resumes.

      Ideally, though, I'd think, the aim should be to make enough money that you can then retire early and have your time free once more. Even better, should be making a world where we don't need to work long hours to begin with, to use the phenomenal productivity created from AI to generate a world where that for almost all people, paid work is reduced to only a small thing from each day.

    Cool ideas, but I would use AI generated images just as inspiration, not for a final product. For patterns and logos, for example, the products offered are high quality vector graphics which is what most of the potential customers are looking and willing to pay for.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but don't logos and templates require specific file formats such as the Vector files from illustrator or what not? I am not sure Midjourney is there yet since its only jpg or png format images

    • @AClassicScorpio
      @AClassicScorpio Год назад +1

      My experience doing logos for clients has required vector files to accommodate the logo being placed on various mediums (from cards to posters and beyond). Adobe has some tools in Illustrator to vectorize raster images, but results vary... and sometimes becomes a time sink comparatively, imho.

    hey Alek, don't you need the 60$ midjourney membership in order to not be copyrighted but also be private? that way you generate things that won't be copied.

    • @alekSheffy
      @alekSheffy  Год назад +5

      You actually only need the $10 one, but to generate privately you have to pay an extra $20 I believe. I highly doubt people are watching the chat waiting to steal a design to sell

  • @GrizzlyoftheNorth
    @GrizzlyoftheNorth Год назад +6

    So legit question, with the recent ruling that AI art isn't able to be copyrighted, what stops someone from going into you shop and just taking the designs you have and selling them? "a new ruling from the U.S. Copyright Office suggests that coming up with the right prompt isn't enough to be considered creative work. On Tuesday, the office ruled for the first time against granting protection for artwork produced using an A.I. tool, reports Reuters."
    that seems like a rough place to be in with logos too if you sell someone a logo that can not be copywritten.

    Hey Alek! I recently opened my Etsy store and was wondering what you're opinion is on listing digital prints, and then a separate listing for a print on demand version of it. So essentially, I would list the same piece of art twice, once as a digital download, and once as a print on demand canvas.

    • @theyellowdartmti
      @theyellowdartmti Год назад +10

      Done a lot of research on this myself. I hear it's best to do just one or the other so as to not confuse people and potentially earn negative reviews for someone ordering a digital product when they thought it was a print - and vice versa.

      I do both, but with svgs. I sell the svg for shirt and also sell the shirt with the design on it. I Put a watermark over the svg listing picture, put it in the title in BOLD, put it in the description in BOLD-and then put a link in the description to the shirt. 5 years and no problems. Similar thing can be done with this. DIY, Print at home, print yourself, etc…

    Hey Alex, could you make a video explaining VAT rates for selling on Etsy and POD? For example, when you sell on Etsy they charge VAT, but when you buy from eg. Printify to fulfill the order you again pay VAT, so you're essentially paying double. Is there anything that can be done about this?

    • @MrJoe1199
