One crucial aspect overlooked is a feature present in Printful but possibly absent in Printify - the ability to personalize your packing slips. This customization option allows you to incorporate features such as your logo, store's contact information, and a brief message. Moreover, even if you choose not to personalize your packing slips, Printful ensures there is no branding from their end on the packaging.
It's worth mentioning that Printful is a lot easier to deal with when it comes to international shipping. Have been using Printful for the past few months and have zero complaints.
Printify has the option to automatically have your designs sent to the closest supplier to your customer. So far I've sent shirts to Germany Mexico Amsterdam and now I have a shirt going out to New Zealand all printed near the customer to help reduce shipping cost😎😎😎
Thanks for this video! I started with Printful, then I switch to Printify due to prices, but it got me headaches because lots of time there was no stock, or something happened (this was some time ago, maybe now is better), so then I change again back to Printful seeing that my designs are very colorful and I want the best quality and colors, and consistency! Glad to see more people choosing Printful! It looks like everyone on YT is recommending Printify this days.

@@SantrelMedia I should research your channel further but I would like to see more people provide information on Digital Purchases and how to upload the design or coaching materials associated with a digital click product. When I first started my shop I fizzled out due to being unable to show 3D designsvon Etsy for the art associated with AI Art products which I was trying to sell stickers. Then my Corporate job became too demanding and my energy fizzled out. I'm restarting this journey and looking for best practices.
Thanks for sharing your opinion on both. I had already chosen one of these to open my store and I'm very happy with the results. You also responded to a couple of questions I had about them, one of them being the fact that one does literally everything for you, and the other one outsources the manufacturing process to a third party. I think both are really good overall, but I'd rather pay a little more for a better product in terms of quality, especially since I'm saying this thinking on the consumer. Anyways, thanks a lot for the honest review.
New seller here. This was a very detailed breakdown. I see a lot of people talk about printify but never the small deets that can hurt your business. Thank you for this After fully watching the video I think I’ll let printful be my go to for all of production needs !
A good analysis of the two POD providers - I've used Printful in the past and have been satisfied with the quality (my favorite t-shirts I wear all the time) of the samples. Printify seems a bit risky and I would rather avoid customer complaints and charge backs.
Great call out. I was going to mention this as well. It's also worth noting that one of the reasons Printify offers providers in different countries is so that you can route orders to different providers based on the location of the order to keep shipping costs low. It's certainly not best practice to order overseas if you don't have to because shipping will really drive up the cost. There's exceptions of course, especially with certain items (like some AOP stuff, for example) that are only available from one provider.
This video highlights something that I find increasingly annoying. How people rate things. 7.6 is a bad rating, but if it wasn't for this push to give everything 5/5 or 10/10 it should signify an above average score. The score for just getting the job done with no extras and no screw ups should be 2.5/5 or 5/10 not top score gold standard for average performance. The top scores should be reserved just for the truly exceptional. I know everybody complies to the idiotic top score for anything not terrible methodology, so there is nothing we can do, but it does drive me around the bend. Sorry, rant over LOL
Haha thats exactly what i felt too. 'here we have a party that only got a 9,1, so it's not that good'. Like what; most people didn't even get near a 9,1 in highschool. Anyway, good video
Well put, because that number that some entity decided was a quality-threshold line shows an average of the fulfillment process. It doesn't mean every order has a chance of going wrong; or every print is lackluster, it's just an average of customer satisfaction, which counts a lot in the online marketing world.. I've hand-printed t-shirts for over 30 years, and I can say from definitive experience that the knowledge of the actual printer, and the quality of the print have a lot to do with repeat customers. My buddy's shop is busy like crazy because both he and I are both quality-first oriented. I'm a little OCD, so all the printed shirts I've ever sold(my original designs) were tees I'd wear myself regarding the print and location. I've seen other printers with 'Left-chest' placement up-and-down that side of the shirt, and I've seen many rough or slightly-off images for sale, because the average buyer couldn't tell; however, discerning ones point it out easily. Print quality has a lot to do with how well and how long the print remains clear & bright too. Thin prints wash out quicker; and poor design placement, with the design too high, too low, or off-center, reflect on the seller. For t-shirt printing - go with the highest quality printer you can find - they're worth the price. A lot of my tees on my future etsy shop will be printed locally at my buddy's place in Littlestown, Md., before I give Printful a go; and then I'm going to do a hassle & quality comparison. Find a local screen printer if you don't trust POD; it's a lot more inconvenience regarding stock and shipping, but it'll ease your mind if you're having print-quality issues.
Right? Did you ever go to a live performance, it was not all that good, yet they still got a standing ovation? Something like that. I think it really took hold when everyone started getting participation trophies.

I’ve been working in Printify, and truly thought they were more similar than they are, as evidenced in this video. I had assumed Printful was similar in that they connected you with suppliers, but I like that it’s not that way. It makes fore more reliable quality expectations, and eliminates the risk of an order being sent to a crappy supplier or something. You’ve sold me on Printful!
Thank you for this great video review. I was leaning towards Printify until i watched this. Just this past Monday i received 2 sample hats from Printify which cost me about $60. The hats i ordered where with velcro backing, which isn't my favorite personally because I'm into the flexfit hat myself but woman friends tell me they like the velcro ones for adjusting to their hair. I was not impressed with the embroidery hat you recieved. Quality is most important so I'm glad to have seen this video and also people's comments here mean alot as well. Moral of the story... Always order a test product. Don't send out awful stuff. It's worth spending a little more to keep people returning to your business. This was an extremely informative, well-done video. I am hoping to set up a Shopify store doing exactly this sort of thing, and had been trying to decide between Printful and Printify. Thank you. This was just what I needed and saved me time and money. I currently use Printful but was looking into printify for faster and less expensive. I will stick with printful for consistency and quality.
Printify also has the same; I have used Printful for years and moved years ago to Printify. Monster Digital in Printify is one of the best printers for its fast production, consistency, and quality. It got 2 expensive, and you can't, and I mean very hard, make a profit most times in Printful, and don't forget the Etsy fees, etc. The example here is good, but you have to choose a USA provider in Printify and not just select the cheapest. And compare shirts that are known like Bella 3001 and Gildan 64000- IN the end order samples, read reviews and to decide :) Another player in the last few years is Awkward styles... Great T-shirts' QUALITY and options in the U.S.
I tried Printify and the colors faded after one wash. I could never sell this quality to customs. So I wanted to find a new supplier, and your video helped me do that! Thanks alot - I'm going to try Printful. There are already several things I noticed better about them. Thanks for your video to help confirm!
I appreciate the clear and concise explanation of both Printify and Printful. As someone spoke on earlier, all I hear about is Printify which would lead you to believe that it has a better track record than what was shown here. Now, in all fairness, we know that some could assume that this attempting to place Printify in a negative light, however, I don't. I only see a visual example that many people would make and possibly be disappointed with. I'm grateful for being able to be shown the example than to have lived it. For me, these companies that offer Printify as a part of a business plan attempting to be "helping" to business owners are giving me concern if this is the quality you can potentially get from using the service. Looks like more vetting from them needs to happen to ensure that the business owners and other customers are taken care of as well as we as consumers need to spend a little more time researching before choosing companies to outsource to.
Nice video. Just keep in mind that in the average production time 2.9 doesn't mean it will take 2 to 9 days to produce. It means it will take almost 3 days on average to produce it.
Thank you for sharing this video you actually did all of the work for us the choice is really simple and easy .I like the fact that some people have already tried both companies it helps me to make the best decision to start .
Also, if you're selling to Europe (and maybe other places too), Printify will add the local VAT to the total price. They do not show this on their products. Learned it the hard way.
@@madsnygaard6444Well, for my region, printful does show the appropriate VAT on their prices, though I am not sure how it works if you're outside of Europe and sell into the EU...
I didn't try Printify yet, but so far had bad experience with Printful with provider from Latvia, hoodies not centered and poor printing quality. So most important is finding a good printer and not the service provider itself.
Me too! I've been having the same complaints and issues with Printful lately. The quality of the garments, print quality and customer service have gone significantly downhill in the past year. Worse, there is absolutely no accountability! Getting them to issue a refund for their mistake is not even worth the trouble, because they just argue with you about how much they are allowed to be "off". It's so frustrating! I'm going to try out Printify to see if it's worth the switch.
@@faslckalamsahmet7855 I signed up with Printify and am slowly beginning to transition. It's going to take a while, since I have hundreds of listings. For all my new listings, I'm going to use Printify so we'll see how it goes! We're in February now and I'm still dealing with the same crap from Printful. Slow fulfillment times - now they say it's because of the weather. Whatever! I refuse to recommend them to anyone!
I've been using Printify and it's just so painful. Every time I change a title, mockup image, or any detail of my products it instantly gives a publishing error with the only fix being redesigning the product from scratch. I just cannot explain how much I truly hate this platform.
I’ve been using printify I haven’t had any problems yet. It’s good quality and was easy to set up it must be a glitch for you i love printify it’s cheap and good quality ❤
It was good information and I like to see comparisons. The one thing you touch a little on but can be a significant issue is selling internationally. I would never select an international supplier unless the item was very unique, because of time and shipping cost. I thought it was a little miss leading selecting the Latvia supplier when there were several others in the USA that would have been more comparable. All in All good information and advice about ordering samples.
Indeed - actually made me wonder whether Printful pays higher affiliate comissions as this came across somewhat biased which is not great in terms of credibility. Matter of fact I have no idea - this and a few other less- objective clues just sort of triggered my bs radar (edit: spelling)
I've tried both and I don't suggest Printify at all because there is no quality control. Printful will more likely get your business successful. One problem I have with printful is that when I design a t-shirt for example, I can't choose different designs based on color. So if I choose a black and white t-shirt and write something on it in black. It would look good on the white but invisible on the black. And you can't choose different designs for each color. It's a very important feature that is missing, but still, I go with Printful because their quality is better. And faster shipping.
Actually you can! I had the same problem, but searched for it on google and found a yt tutorial somewhere on how you can choose different designs for different colors. It’s a little more work, but it’s possible :)!
Love the video❤️ I just started my print-on-demand journey and found Crafted Threads. They have a ton of designs and it saved me so much time. They have something in every niche. And lifetime updates too!!
Amazing video!👍👏 I just began my comic book collection and found Toon Haven. They have an incredible range of digital comics for every genre, including the hard to find ones. Lifetime updates too!
Thank you this video was so helpful we ordered from printify our examples and we got two work shirts that come in and one was way more faded than the other one! And they come from the same company and was made at the same time
@santrelmedia at 18:03 there is a button above the hat that says preview next to edit, it will show the mockup in many angles etc, thanks for the video though! i went back and forth for awhile before choosing printify last year, but it has the features i need!
looking in the long term prinful is better. If you want to achieve a difficult goal discipline beats motivation. printify is more like: you gain some you loose some, but you gain and loose alot more than prontful. (If you loose with printful). Printify: quick money or loose money if doing wrong. Printful: consistent slow growth
Thank you for addressing mug quality. Getting ready to launch some designs with personalization that are good for mugs and I was concerned that the only USA seller on Printify has an 8.5 rating and that concerned me for something I want to be quality. There are a lot of comparison videos for t-shirts, but not the other products. Also, as an embroiderer I can tell what the crappy one is doing wrong lol.
Curious which of the blues was the correct logo color? I noticed at the end of this video that the logo appeared more like the Printify color, rather than the deep blue. I just had to ask 😂
Looking to publish some art very soon and it will be a must for me to have such a store like this. The demos with the hats are eye-opening. I'll also see what final profit margin looks like. Shipping in Canada (not only USA) could also play a big part in my decision.
I like the dad hat style from Printify better but the logo sucked. I think with Printify it depends on who you choose to fulfil your orders. Monster Digital and Swift(?) are super popular.
as a canadian user thought that printful was supplying canada I did a trial print. It was over 20% customs charge. It was terrible material, and the sizes were not good for fit. It was almost the cost of buying a luxury brand in canada but iut was very low grade material. I did sublimation and it was so bad i wouldn't even wear it as pj's and scrapped the whole thing to restart. Just make an order like a customer to see what you get before you fully launch.
I’m using Printful and find that in the United Kingdom. Many of their items listed in the store are not actually available. A good example is white glossy mugs available in three sizes however in the UK only two it will be so much nicer if things that are not listed in my store are not available to me to try and order. The other problem I find is everything is in US spelling That means I have to go through each time. I duplicate an item and amend the spelling and if I’ve chosen custom prices even duplicating reset the prices to the stock item so duplicate feature for me does not actually work as a duplicate should do it just create a similar item from their stock, The quality has been great so far the end due to customer is a not for profit and therefore having returns and unhappy customers is a real problem thankfully with Printful we haven’t had any yet. Also, tests should include durability and how many washes or how a mug looked after 30 dishwasher cycles
Here's my question about this topic. What if I want to use art that I hand drew? How do I get it online to be able to upload it? Just take it to a copy machine and scan it in to an email? I want to make sure it ends up with good quality lines between paper to scan. This is where I've been stuck for awhile now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! TYSM
Thanks for the info!! I'm still watching the video but I've a quick question, if someone could answer I'd really appreciate it. It may be a dumb question too, so apologies for that XD So, if both sites have different products each that I want to sell, can I sell all of them together on my store's website? Or should I create two stores, one for Printful and another for Printify?
Using a simple and less costly web page that has the quality you expect your customers to see as well as receive quality . And it’s better to simply have a working store that eatables a product that has success . Rather than a ton of products and so many details to figure out . Rather than focusing on the products and company supplies quality and mail cost all being found in one page less hassle less cost and links all being tied to one web page . That will not become a issue with any closing of ones account do to a possible difference in product number or other slightly difference web page info . That the platform may find using today’s automated AI rapid and total verification and information data scans that could take your web page down for a few days while reviewing the reasons and reinstatement process that some may even take longer than seven days . When a larger number of web stores are submitted especially when new upgrades are added to all the members With a verity of small hard to find reasons are needed to be identified in many reviewed web store review process .
Great video, thank you! I'm curious to see how this work in a store setting with Woo or Shopify. Do you get a drop ship link for each product and variation?
Well, the content is great, and very informative, but i still find it difficult to get my own free store from printful, like printify you don't have to link e-commerce to your store before you can make sales, can you please make video on that, getting live store that people can order from, without connecting store to any e-commerce company, like esty and Shopify.
I'm glad I chose Printful for my Shopify store.
Informative enough for me to kick start my POD biz on Etsy. Thank you for breaking down the comparison for us.
Nice video. Just keep in mind that in the average production time 2.9 doesn't mean it will take 2 to 9 days to produce. It means it will take almost 3 days on average to produce it.
I like that printful is just a connection to small business as an option.
The bird of paradise plant in the back is amazing.
Thank you for sharing this video you actually did all of the work for us the choice is really simple and easy .I like the fact that some people have already tried both companies it helps me to make the best decision to start .
REAlly enjoyed this. Honest, hard work. Thank you!
Sold to Printful :) Thanks a lot for the great review!
Also, if you're selling to Europe (and maybe other places too), Printify will add the local VAT to the total price. They do not show this on their products. Learned it the hard way.
Does this differ with printful?
@@madsnygaard6444Well, for my region, printful does show the appropriate VAT on their prices, though I am not sure how it works if you're outside of Europe and sell into the EU...
@@madsnygaard6444 Nope
I didn't try Printify yet, but so far had bad experience with Printful with provider from Latvia, hoodies not centered and poor printing quality. So most important is finding a good printer and not the service provider itself.
Me too! I've been having the same complaints and issues with Printful lately. The quality of the garments, print quality and customer service have gone significantly downhill in the past year. Worse, there is absolutely no accountability! Getting them to issue a refund for their mistake is not even worth the trouble, because they just argue with you about how much they are allowed to be "off". It's so frustrating! I'm going to try out Printify to see if it's worth the switch.
hey did you try printing? I'm new to this and I am so confused on what to try and what not!! @@ceg2235
@@ceg2235have you switched yet?
@@faslckalamsahmet7855 I signed up with Printify and am slowly beginning to transition. It's going to take a while, since I have hundreds of listings. For all my new listings, I'm going to use Printify so we'll see how it goes! We're in February now and I'm still dealing with the same crap from Printful. Slow fulfillment times - now they say it's because of the weather. Whatever! I refuse to recommend them to anyone!
I thought Printful does not have different suppliers; they print everything themselves.
Thank you for doing this! I have been trying to decide between the two, and this definitely helped!!
Printful clearly numero uno, no middle men
would be nice to test more paper items like books etc. to see the quality of the prints.
sounds like: commit to Printful, swing over to Printify for some good steals when needed.
Agreed!
💯
Thanks for the feedback! We will take this into consideration in future POD supplier videos
It’s a little more work, but it’s possible :)!
hey, this was a well produced idea & video. the actual designing & ordering for a comparison is great 👍🏻 i will be checking out your other videos!
Omg. Thanks for doing all the work for us! It gets overwhelming sometimes.
This video is really good and well-explained .Now I will go for Printful.
Great video. You said you were going to talk about Printful's memberships later in the video. Did I miss that?
I like your comparisons, the quality of the colors did it for me. I would definitely choose Printful!
This is a helpful topic! As always, thank you all! 🎉
Thanks for watching!
As someone just looking into pod as an option your video is very helpful and informative, subbed and liked for the great content!
Wow - thank you for this. I'm definitely with Printful!!
Thank you so much! This is very helpful and informative! I'm a beginner in all this, and you answered a lot of my questions!
Very helpful video with great content. Thank you so much!
Just starting. Thank you for this. My products disappeared from Printify & I’m pissed.
Amazing video! Thank you! Now I know that Printful is the way to go.
You did amazing and great video. Thanks. I choose Printful.
I think I like these edits a lot
I find Printify much easier to work in. Plus the free store is exactly what I need. Printful is just really clunky to navigate for me.
Super helpful video, thank you for taking the time to make it and help me make a choice.
Glad it was helpful!
Printful versus Pritify versus GELATO! Throw Gelato into the mix and review that one please.
Very helpful thank you for this video. Everything he says is spot on to how i felt.
Excellent explanation. Congrats!!
Thanks for making this video, made us save a lot of hours in thinking. Thank you!
Curious which of the blues was the correct logo color? I noticed at the end of this video that the logo appeared more like the Printify color, rather than the deep blue. I just had to ask 😂
Excellent content. Thank you for your time. 🎉
Looking to publish some art very soon and it will be a must for me to have such a store like this. The demos with the hats are eye-opening. I'll also see what final profit margin looks like. Shipping in Canada (not only USA) could also play a big part in my decision.
You literally ordered the products... Great video🙂
Yeah now I have a bunch of mugs and sweatshirts I'll probably never use, but I think the video would be invalid without samples!
@@SantrelMedia love your dedication and honesty
Could u do a video on optimizing shipping and packaging
I like the dad hat style from Printify better but the logo sucked.
I think with Printify it depends on who you choose to fulfil your orders. Monster Digital and Swift(?) are super popular.
I use printify and the samples are really good quality.
Thanks a lot Santrel Media.
as a canadian user thought that printful was supplying canada I did a trial print.
Amazing and thorough review! Thank you!
thanks SO SO much! BUT the full blue hat looks waaaay better on you though you say the logo is not centered
appreciate for sharing this with us, excellent video
So which one is the best one? I need to choose 😢S.O.S
Thanks for sharing, Which are the most profitable products to sell in 2024?
I’m using Printful and find that in the United Kingdom. Many of their items listed in the store are not actually available. A good example is white glossy mugs available in three sizes however in the UK only two it will be so much nicer if things that are not listed in my store are not available to me to try and order.
The other problem I find is everything is in US spelling That means I have to go through each time. I duplicate an item and amend the spelling and if I’ve chosen custom prices even duplicating reset the prices to the stock item so duplicate feature for me does not actually work as a duplicate should do it just create a similar item from their stock,
The quality has been great so far the end due to customer is a not for profit and therefore having returns and unhappy customers is a real problem thankfully with Printful we haven’t had any yet.
Also, tests should include durability and how many washes or how a mug looked after 30 dishwasher cycles
Great video and very helpful!! Thank you for sharing.
That’s fantastic, thanks for sharing!
It may be a dumb question too, so apologies for that XD
So, if both sites have different products each that I want to sell, can I sell all of them together on my store's website? Or should I create two stores, one for Printful and another for Printify?
You can use both of them for the same store :)
Great video, helpful reviews! I'm going with Printful
You’ve convinced me to give it a go
This Guy "
Santrel Media" is Really helpful. Thanks a ton
THANKS A BUNCH, AMAZING VIDEO!!!
This was an excellent video. Thank you!
Great video, thank you! I'm curious to see how this work in a store setting with Woo or Shopify. Do you get a drop ship link for each product and variation?
Printful works great in Woo.
Well, the content is great, and very informative, but i still find it difficult to get my own free store from printful, like printify you don't have to link e-commerce to your store before you can make sales, can you please make video on that, getting live store that people can order from, without connecting store to any e-commerce company, like esty and Shopify. Please i need explanation on this pls
Sounds like you need a tutorial on how to make a website and sell stuff on it like Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, whatever.
Wow, fantastic video. Thanks a lot!
Definitely going to try that, thanks
YES! JUST WHAT I NEEDED, TY!!!
Thank you dear for taking us along. Can't wait what the *yutulux* queen picked up at Fendi
Thank you so much for such a informative and useful video! I was wondering if you have any experience with Gelato. I want to make with a company which can ship to Japan as well and I heard this one way.
are we able to cross-list the same designs to both platforms? Thanks for the breakdown!
