Never experienced a single one of these problems with my personal Durango or the Durangos that we drive at work. My personal Durango is a 2014 Citadel 5.7 Hemi with a 125k and the one I drive at work I believe is a 2022 5.7 Hemi and has an about 70k. Only major flaw that I’ve noticed on both is it seems that they both eat through brakes like it’s candy.
The electrical issues are from the "TIPM". (It's a box full of fuses and relays) Some shops or DIY guys don't properly service them making water/debris get inside the housing causing corrosion in short period of time. Prevent that with electrical protectant sprays and try not to drive in deep puddles. Take care.
I have a Durango AWD GT Plus, and not only does it have awesome performance on the road, but it has been super reliable. Every car has some issues, but the Durango seems to be very well made.
The uconnect error was finally resolved by my dealership by replacing a faulty cellular antenna. If you get that error and your SOS light on your rear view mirror lights up at the same time, make your dealership check your antenna.
Never had this issue with my 3 year old Durango hellcat so I find this to be false on the electrical side. Also no issue with the uconnect and also she might be talking about the 2011-2020 models.
I have had 3 of these and will probably get another. From the new 2011 CItadel to my current 2015 rt, the water pump is the only real consistent issue I have had. 1 radiator, but as long as you can change a water pump you will be good to go with this vehicle.
The uconnect service box message pops up is if the radio loses cellular satellite signal. So it’s not affecting anything else besides wifi or hot-spot , but it’s not an issue with the radio itself and issue with the satellite sending or receiving signal. Don’t take your dodge vehicle to the dealer if this message comes up , only if you experience real radio faults . You will only waste time. Also no starts caused by many different things, I’ve never had to replace a faulty radio frequency hub yet. (Not saying it can because, it most definitely can) on a Durango, all of them have either been blown battery jump post fuses or , starters.
Have a 2018 and I have nearly all these issue, my radio has not working correctly in 3 years and now my back up camera just blink out then out then faded completely out lines. Lex Lights out in. The back just last month due to bad sealing water getting inside, found this out when went for inspection. Because radio problems, have a hard time setting temperature and changing from heat to ac Vice versus.
New issue for me is heater core hoses went bad. Went driving on the freeway and I started to smell coolant. Hurried up and pulled over and car was pouring coolant
The racetrack light shorting out due to water intrusion is very prevalent and dodge won't do anything to make it right. Definition of a factory defect and no recall for a 4 figure safety related part. It's very maddening
How in the world did you forget the problem with the Themes on the moon itor. The map is in dark mode ALL the time. I just bought it and during the day the Navigation is next to useless. I guess the update might cost a couple of dollars. NTSA needs to look into this one.
The dealerships in my area are a joke. They had my truck for 3 months and could not figure out a fuel pump issue. A friend with a computer and a pole barn figured it out in a few hours. Burnt pin on fuel pump plug. Thats with only 60k miles on it. Now at 76k i am looking at fuel injectors. I love my durango but damn. As soon as i paid it off it has been one electrical issue after another. The navigation system randomly stops working right. The SD slot randomly wipes my music library from my SD card or simply can not read it. And it has dropped out of gear 3 separate times while on the freeway randomly. And all i get from the dealership is. “Looks good to us “ I love this truck but doubt after 30yrs of dodges that i will buy another.
What about a subtle whistling noise only when I accelerate? I have a 2012 dodge Durango. Also is there a recall on that or a recall on the seal of the hatch? Cuz it’s been leaking a lot over the years. Thanks
+@kittielynn-cp1el We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
I have a 2019 Durango RT. BAD #6 injector at 64k. Piece of garage. I only have it because my wife thinks it’s comfortable. My 2014 ml350 has 140k never a single issue. Buy a Benz.
I have a 2018 GT. My biggest issue is the suspension. Lack of being able to find a decent replacement other than going through the dealership. Those mfs want to charge an arm and a leg just for one corner

Durango is the worst vehicle I ever owned by far. So many major issues; head gaskets and overheating, alternator went bad destroying the pcm, cooling fan died, blend door actuators, I could go on and on. Never will buy another Dodge!

I bought my 2017 new and still have it with 72k miles and have not faced any of these problems. By far one of the better cars I’ve owned.

🤔 Was thinking about getting one but but reading the comments I think I bet not
Taillight yes, all other stuff you mentioned…NO. Very reliable. I have a 2019 with 135k miles.

#1 should be the damn AC Blend Door Actuator!!

+@Zyrilius Thanks for the feedback!
How come the water pumps weren’t mentioned they seem to fail often
How about the lifters sticking and wiping the cam lobe? All 3rd gen hemis are susceptible to that, ask me how I know
Have a 16 R/T Durango w 90k miles, none of those problems, Also have a 17 GT Durango 98K miles, none of those problems, both been reliable for me!
I think im just lucky for my durango rt for 8 years of it with zero issue
Never had this issue with my 3 year old Durango hellcat so I find this to be false on the electrical side. Also no issue with the uconnect and also she might be talking about the 2011-2020 models.
I own a 2015 and my tail lights are filling up with water and shorting out
I have a 2020 rt. With 54000 miles. Had to get the radiator replace. Good thing my warranty covered it.

watching this AFTER i put $9000 down and ordered my 2023 RT plus lol
HOLY CRAP! After reading all these comments about Durango’s is making me think twice about buying this 2016 R/T that I’ve been eyeing.
Just got a 2013 Durango RT, def agree w this already
I keep having a start stop problem and I have changed both batteries and it still does it and shutters when it does
You forgot ac condenser leaking (hissing sound), main ground loose, and transfer case
Number 6
Cam and lifter failure
You left out 3 major things. HEMI tick, water pump bearings failing and hood shock.

Mine with 24k miles got the check engine light powertrain malfunction

Not really a common problem but if the fcw sensor fails, only the dealer can calibrate it and a new one is 3k..

I’ve had my dodge Durango for 5 years, only having one problem. The taillight fills with water.
The radio issue for me was the cellular module needing replacement. 2021 rt otherwise all good for now.
That key button problem happens on jeeps also. Same platform so
I have a 2020 r\t had it since new .. I’m at 45k miles I have none of those issues

No mention of the notorious 3.6 oil cooler leak?
Open and closeing** like**"slam,😅 sensors sensors braking are ecceleration,my just need a ECM or PCM replacement or reprogram
17 rt no issues just my regular matience. People don't do the matience and they have problems
How about the drive shaft?
All that and not one mention of any TIPM issues!
no mention of lifter failures 😂
OK, so you just scared me of even thinking of buying one of these even though I’m a GM guy and I want Tahoe or Yukon but these are a bit cheaper.
Chrysler, still in last place

Maryland Police dept just, dumped every Derango in their fleet, due to engine failures ...
Welp hard pass... was eyeing a 2011 thinking it was a great price... now i know why.
Is that a Boston accent?
Im having BCM issues not communicating
