    For those asking - My brother used to sell police and emergency lighting. This was used as a demo vehicle, to allow departments some hands-on experience with the tech before they place an order for their own vehicles. This is the pursuit edition of the Durango.

      That makes complete sense. I was questioning quite a few things about placement and lights it had on it but it being a demo now makes so much sense.

    I think your original video of this car was how I found your channel. Police packages are cool. Dodge's racetrack taillights are the coolest thing at night (when they work). That v-shaped roof lightbar is pretty much the standard police lightbar in my area. The state police, county police, my town's police, and my local fire department all use that bar so I see it frequently.

    That racetrack light (portion on tailgate) is well over $1000.00 just for the part. In Canada. Remove little screws under tailgate and water can drain out. Wish I had known this on day one.

    I bought my 2014 Citadel with the 3.6 V6 in 2015 with 12K miles. Also bought the lifetime extended warranty because of all the stuff that can go wrong. Now with 143K miles the only repair I’ve had was replacement of the sunroof motor. Nothing else so far. The racetrack lights are still fine. Pulled a fish and ski and also a tent trailer many of those miles. Looking at upgrading soon to a new Durango with the Hemi. The current V6 needs more power to tow our new travel trailer. Most midsized SUV’s don’t have the towing capacity I now need.

    The racetrack taillights are indeed cool but it’s issues has been actually becoming more and more common on Durangos especially on their latest model years, even though they’re below 90k miles. It’s probably because of their typical FIAT (Fix It Again Tommy) built quality. I’ve seen worse than that.

    My wife and I, on a 2017 Dodge Durango SXT. We bought the vehicle used, with approximately 40000 miles on it. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, we noticed the transmission did not shift properly. After taking it to the dealership, several times I may add, they finally decided they had to change out the transmission. This was actually covered under warranty, so no cost to us, and we also get an extra 100000 mile warranty on the transmission courtesy of Dodge. Other than that, we have had no issues with our Dodge Durango. We use hours to tow a 4000 pound trailer for camping purposes, up into the mountains Is, in the Northwest. There are times I wish we had the V8, but we get decent gas mileage with the 3.6 l. Now saying that we use ours to tow, we can actually give you some gas mileage readings. Normal city driving we get 18MPG, highway driving, we get 25MPG, towing our camper, we get 13MPG. I hope this information helps, overall we're very pleased with our vehicle, it fits our needs perfectly.

      Same thing for VWs 80 to 90k death. I just got a 2022 Durango RT destroyer gray. Probably get rid of in 4 years to be safe. Playing the repair came isn't worth it anymore. Its a new overpriced world.

    • @myoutuber77
      @myoutuber77 Год назад +2

      @@Alwaysbeclosing1774 I got a 21 durango and plan to keep it indefinitely. One purchase criterion was I wanted specifically a domestic vehicle because parts for them are cheap and plentiful. Some parts do not always need to be replaced when they brake but can be repaired, contrary to what dealers make you believe. I plan to do all maint / repair work myself after warranty. Point is, learn to work on your car and the maintenance costs go down by 80%. And there are some other benefits. Yes it does cost your own time, and you do need to invest in tools, but a few weekend days a year spent on maintenance is time well invested. And your tools can be used around the house so you dont need to call contractors. It's a triple or quadruple win.

      Thanks for the review. I have 2019 V6 and have had no real major problems except humidity sensor, egr valve, tires and brakes. 88000 miles. Bought it used with 33000. For me and my wife it has been one of the best vehicles we bought. Have a Ram 2500 6.4 ltr 4x4 and it has been a really good truck as well. Maintenance done on it when required. Life of the vehicles is regular maintenance.
