I am getting a weird sound when coasting, like a running air compressor under the car. Is that just 4-cylinder drone? Or should I take this to get inspected at a shop? it is horrible. Hello, thanks for such valuable info on problems with a Durango vehicle. I have a 2013 and I noticed sometimes when I engage either reverse or drive, and try to move. Like the gear is not properly engaging, so I go back to park and then back to which move I'd like. Some advice please.
Man. Ive had my 2023 Dodge Durango RT+ for a little over 1 year and MY A/C is going out. Its summer time in KY and my air wont get any colder than 75 degrees. But when its cool out then my AC has no issues. Im taking it in Monday at the dealership since its still under warranty and i hope they can resolve it under warranty. 🤞 Something i have also had issues with are the rotors. Its like the stock rotors and brakes were not adequste to stop efficiently with how much power is behind the wheels when its braking time. I went through 2 sets of rotors under warranty bc they kept warping. I became fed up with it and just upgraded all the brakes and rotors and i havent had any issues since. It did cost me some good money to uograde everything but it was worth it to me. The radio also cuts out randomly severely times a day and i have to turn off the radio and turn it back on and it resumes playing but its no big deal. Just tedious. The parking sensors are very touchy and annoying. I keep my parking sensors turned off bc it does exactky whats stated in the video above which probably caused my rotors to warp with the random and sudden harsh braking with nothing around worth braking for.
I am a tech for a dodge dealership. The AC feels warmer when it's hotter out because it only cools air about 30°F when working properly. So if it's 75 out, it feels like 45 at the vents. When it's 100 out, it feels like 70 at the vents. I agree tho. Mopar brakes are terrible. Especially in the rust belt, they rot really fast. That's one thing I'd say don't buy OEM. But recently we switched from Mopar to Bpro cuz i think we outsource them now. It's too early to tell yet if they're any better. Autozone rotors last longer than mopar ones tho tbh.
Yep my rt+ only has 15,000 on it and the rotors are already warped. My other vehicle which is a dodge journey, has 120,000 on the original pads and rotors with no problems.
Mine RT 2022 has another issue - when saving positions of steering wheel, mirrors, seat, radio stations and display layout, the levels of volume adjustments are never saved. All mentioned is saved for driver 1 or 2, but the levels of volume (for navigation, radio, warnings, incomming calls,...) are never saved and always start on some default levels, which I´m not happy with - for example, I would love to have all of them at level 10 after starting the car on. Any idea how to solve this problem?
I had Durango 2014 limited. Brand new One hand take care very well. Delar does every oil change and recommended maintenance. 125k miles driven. Issue water pump, radiator, gasket, and spark plug. Ac problem. After the fuse box was replaced my AC problem Went away. I know all those are the maintenance issues over the year. But the worst problem was a cylinder misfired multiple times, which cost me a lot of money. Then I have to let her go. But I am a Mopar guy. Love Durango. Trade in for 2023 rt. So far she is good. No issue. Let's see how far I can go with Hemi.
