My childhood... too bad the E is so generic nowadays. Not that I hate the R160's, they're just generic. cool looking, but just not much variety.... PS, the R160's were made because they're more Comfortable and more reliable and economically friendly compared to the old trains. Sorry but it's true...
R160A Alstom: Breaks down a lot R160B Siemens: Cleaner than R160A, barley breaks down R32: NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THIS TRAIN. BRING THEM BACK INTO SERVICE.
Awesome review! I'm glad your goin' to re-upload these as these reviews truly bring a nostalgia feeling. Idk, I still like the (E) (yes, even though they have R160s) maybe because I grew up riding it so the line itself brings back memories. Not only have the R32s left the (E), but they have left the (C) (to strong) as well... or at least most of them anyway. All the R32s seem to now be on the (J) and (Z) during rush hour. They are without a doubt gonna be retired very soon which is sad as they are one of ma favorite trains. All I can say is that I'm glad I live by da (J) and (Z) trains since I get to enjoy the R32s a little longer before their official retirement. I also like the 9/11 part and the mention of Gordon from Thomas The Tank Engine.
Dude the E was my train back in the day. I lived by 23rd Street and when I'd see a C come in, I'd tell my dad to wait so we could catch the E. Hell, when I was 5, I was literally an R32 E Train for Halloween (my dad cut out the bottoms from a cardboard box, spray-painted it silver, colored in doors and windows on the front and sides, and put straps on it so I could wear it). Ever since the 32s left the E, it was never the same.
Nice and can you do a review on the R46 F train since I would have preferred it over the R160 F train due to their retro look and used them on 5th ave Bryant Park-23rd street 6th avenue. Regarding Lexington Ave 53rd street it's known as 51st street on the IRT East Side Line for an in system transfer for the M train to 6th ave line instead of 59th street out of system transfer for the F train at Lexington Ave-63rd street
@Versatile Wolf Compared to the 2 line... the E has always been immaculate. I have no complaints of the E. I don’t think I have ever complained about the E. I think the only trains that annoyed me along the Forest Hills line back then were the G and the R. The E was always flying when I got on!! Especially on those R32s
As much of a fan of the R32 as I am (especially since the RFW area is so perfect, much like the Redbirds), I actually remember when the R32 E train was actually... the R32 R Train. Yep. Those trains were originally all on the R back when the N and R switched northern termini. The G used to be all R32 as well, but they switched to R46 around the time the overhauls took place. The R kept their trains, then started swapping with the E between 1989 and 1991. The E would not see any R46 sets again until 1998 (I was in high school when I started spotting them). By the time 9/11 happened (when the E was sent to Euclid), they were all R46 again (the R32 sets went to the A while the C was suspended). Either way, be it R46 or R32, the E was better with these, each for different reasons. The R160, unfortunately, takes the worst of both worlds in this case.
Dang I wasn't living in New York until my family move in 2010 and I was around 4 at the time and now I use to the r160 E train and the r32 I use too are the A and C train and q 1 time I saw a r32 on the J/Z in person but I seen images and video online of the r32 E including the F,N,Q,W train
Yeah if you ride the E Train from Jamaica Parsons Archer to Chambers st and back no above ground rails at all on like the R train it goes outside for 1.7 seconds and it used to go to Astoria Ditmars Blvd the E Train only when it was rerouted after 9/11 so only in the tunnels and that's it
Yeah, completely overacting over the R32's like they were doing fine on QBL and now that R160'S taken over this has become terrible like they craw so slow that it makes NTT's look unreliable.
"for that i give a moment of silence"
*music still plays in the background*
lol yeah sorry about that. I didn't know at the time the audio went through.
it's ok sonic colors music isnt gonna ruffle any feathers

Flutershy Fluters Subway Car assignments SHOULD NOT be your number one factor when it comes to determining what area you want to move to.

I remember the E train used to go to Brooklyn and Queens.
The R32 E train was my first encounter with an R32. I remember when they removed them in 2010.
That R32 on the E was no joke! I use to hold on for dear life from Roosevelt to Queens Plaza lol

The reason is the E riders are mad is.it never goes outside.
Alex The railfan you mean it never goes overground
Yeah if you ride the E Train from Jamaica Parsons Archer to Chambers st and back no above ground rails at all on like the R train it goes outside for 1.7 seconds and it used to go to Astoria Ditmars Blvd the E Train only when it was rerouted after 9/11 so only in the tunnels and that's it
