The R160s are reliable but they are incredibly filthy and drab (at least in my opinion). I really hope that the MTA changes their minds about the R32 retirement this year.
@meli4157cozyyou fool, just because Ntt's are high quality doesn't mean nothing since they all are generic or reuse the same shape and body but with alterations like for Smees they're not the same, they all have a way to tell between each but NTT's they're all the same like the R143'S and R160's tell me difference. They both are the same making it easily to mix them up than a Smee.

We used to take the F train from Carroll St to Jay St-Borough Hill, now known as Jay St.-Metro Tech and we went to Fulton St. in Downtown Brooklyn to spend some time shopping for stuff. The Carroll St. Station is about three blocks from where we lived back in the day. The Smith-9th St. Station is still a beautiful station where you see views of Downtown Brooklyn, Red Hook, Lower Manhattan, and the Gowanus Expressway viaduct. Every 4th of July, they had fireworks all over the city, along with sections of Brooklyn where the neighbors set off their fireworks. I guess people had seen fireworks from the Smith-9th St. Station for some time.

The C should have switched with the F and the R 42s should have gone to the F. And if there are too many R160s on the J/Z, then put them some R46s. YES, R46s! Look up R46 J train!
Platform lengths at almost every station on the J and Z lines CANNOT handle 8 car 75 foot trains. They can only handle 8 car 60 foot trains. Any extra overhang beyond 485 feet is only about 50 feet at these stations.

You can also see it at night, and on 4th of July, you will see fireworks go off as well as other neighborhoods set off as well.
its because the R143's are all use to the (L) and plus it has to go the speed as the R42 & R32 so dont blame any of these cars blame the speed it has to go thru with all the turns!

The "J/Z" can only handle one train of 75 footers otherwise the two trains of the same type going around a curve at the same time will collide.
