Cali GDP closed out 2024 at $4.2 Trillion. The LA Metropolitan area is $1.5+ Trillion GDP as big as all of Florida. Cali GDP was $2.0 Trillion in 2012 when Gavin Newsom became Lt Governor, then 2 terms as Governor, adding $2.2 Trillion GDP in 12 years, a mere 144 months, the greatest economic growth in history. Cali just overtook Germany at #4 economy in the world, Japan up next in a few years at #3. The opportunity and fat paychecks of Cali are the envy of the country. Want to see bleak and no opportunity, go to any red state. Cali is booming. All the penny poor right wingers cheering for Cali's demise is pretty pathetic. Cali will always be the King. 👑
Not capping for insurance companies by any means here, but there is a reason they canceled coverage for many in LA. One thing that really bothers me is that Americans know their government spends taxpayers' money on unnecessary wars and support for so-called allies, yet there seems to be little collective outcry. Everyone appears preoccupied with their own lives, remaining silent as long as their personal circumstances are comfortable. Instead of wasting billions and trillions of dollars on these ventures, those funds could be better invested in modernizing infrastructure, improving healthcare, education, and addressing pressing social issues that would benefit the nation as a whole.
