Holland Village is a very interesting place and full of childhood memories. The corner magazine store is one of the most iconic store in that area but sad to say is closing for good after so many great years serving the community. The other building / mall situated next to HV shopping centre is Holland Piazza was a roofless cinema in the 70s.
I almost forgot about this mall. Cannot judge its contents by its facade. Thanks for visiting. It is an interesting area with other shops and eateries around.
I saw your video and went to Frankie & Fern's. A bit of a hipster cafe. Love the ambience and food. I just had their Roasted Rice Parfait... I felt that it's looked more like an eton mess rather a parfait though
Ok my time was about 30 years ago. Different era. Bought many magazines we couldn’t afford from the now famous Thambi magazine corner. Many meals at the Delifrance.

Used to frequent Holland V, way before it has a MRT stn at its door step. There was a very popular ipoh hor fun stall in the neighbourhood, mexican and Italian restaurants. Foster too for scones but i think it has closed down. It was nice and quiet. I shld go back and take a look.

As for the phrase "Bring u to Holland" the Amsterdam story is real history n that's where it originated meaning "Bring u to somewhere n make u lost there never to return". The Hokkien version of "Bring u to Holland ROAD" which sounds like "Bring u to let ppl F" is just for fun sake only, in this case the keyword is "Road".
