Hi guys, to be fair to Jew Kit. I do find their chicken rice nice in general. It's just that there's a ceiling in how flavorful chicken rice can get. So to me, upon hitting the standards, the only differentiation would be the accompanying items, like soups etc. So barring the jokes we made, I just wanna give credit to their chicken rice too! 为对Jew Kit 鸡饭公平，我其实想说，我认为他们家的鸡饭是好吃的。但是鸡饭达到基本水平水平之后，口味就不会有太大的差异，主要就看配菜了。这里澄清一下！Enjoy the video~!

the review of the chicken rice is well described and illustrated...on par with the review from pro food bloggers ;p ...while the way you presented together with the milo and glutinous rice dessert..i think many will be curious to try them..haha
There's also another branch at Kiliney if Bukit Timah is too far for you. Not sure if their desserts is as good though.

Jew Kit original stall is located at Bukit Batok East. I ate this chicken rice when i was in primary school (90s). The chicken rice taste good.

I like little gobbles curry fish head. Many ingredients. 😊 The conference hall was once a cinema where I first watched Aces go places when I was staying at the kampong which had since been replaced by HDB. ❤

About Salt and Sugar Shaming, I think once you reach a certain age range 30+ >. Really have to watch what we eat. If you actually visit hospitals, you will be surprise the age group of patients are getting younger.

In the 1970s, a lot of Malaysian came to Singapore for shopping, Bukit Timah 7 miles area is a popular spot that why there are a lot of shopping malls there. Its the reverse situation now. That time Ringgit slightly > S$.

Awesome episode! Didn't know bukit timah shopping centre got so many stuff, I usually visit my cousin shop and eat the jew kit chicken rice. Next time will try their desserts and milo. If you get the sharing de instead of individual portion, the sharing portions chicken cut was good.

But you went to the wrong shop to look for the mee hoon kuay. It’s at , #01-03/04. Visible from outside. Opposite the mee hoon kueh shop is a very cute plant shop. They sell all the small plants that are suitable for terrarium. Name is Colorich and it’s at #01-02A Uncle there is very nice.
There also a very nice Korean makan place at the basement. Very home style taste. Gayageum Korean Family Restaurant. B2, #14

This area used to be the "Orchard" of Singapore before Orchard was a thing! Kinda make sense that there would be the various malls here given that there would be high human traffic.

That mall used to have a cinema, but it closed down a lot years ago. The former cinema became a church. You should cover Bukit Timah Plaza and King Albert Park.

I seriously suggest our government to revamp the upper bukit timah area to something like Myeongdong (Kr) or Ximen Ding (Tw). Best its near to Bukit timah hill, n link the shopping streets to the foot of the hill and build a tower (Seoul tower) 😂 overlooking the upper bukit timah 👍
We seriously lack area like this.. but our gov only good in doing business😂. urban planning jialat..

Old Place shifted downstairs and rebranded already... 1st level, near the side entrance nearer to Beauty World Centre (entrance nearer to the UOB building/Beauty World Centre), if I remember correctly.
But I still prefer the mee hoon kway at lvl 4 hawker centre of Beauty World Centre... got dry and wet version. Must go early and closed on Wednesdays.

If you like Curry Puffs try Opposite Eunos MRT Hawker Centre you try a few stalls . I think their curry puffs is nice.. suits my pallette...just my two cents worth

last time opposite the shopping centre there is the SBS bus terminal with bus going to CCK and LCK which contribute to a lot of human traffic ,hence got a few shopping centre.

@@HongisBored During the 80s, this shopping mall was the most atas one in that area where people from LCK, CCK, Woodlands, Mandai and many malaysian liked to shop here. The cinema was popular too, many students from Bukit Timah area liked to go there.

I was doing IT servicing for one of the maid agency, so quite familiar with this place. I was literally shouting "Go B1", when u looking for kopi. 小食家 cafe food is quite decent and reasonably priced, which I can't say the same for Buddies Hoagies...want ambience no ambience, service and food so so...
Lvl 7 was an eye opener! I don't remember using the lifts before. The chicken rice I've same thoughts but will go try the milo and orh bi beh next time...
老地方 never try before...as opposite and next door have plenty of options to eat, if willing to pay more...

As a Malay viewer. Let me correct the error made in this video. LAGU is SONG. LAKU is IN HIGH DEMAND! I fondly remember coming here once a month in the 1990s to get my trendy clothes from MAN MASTER. The brand was LAKU with the trendy kids back then when brands like H&M, ZARA or UNIQLO were not available to us! Those were the good ol' days!
