    Make sure to press that little link button that I mouse over at 23:34 to link your fat channel to your DSP on Revelator in order to apply changes!

    This method -- looping a recording and making Fat Channel adjustments in Studio One then exporting the settings -- was ever-so-much better than trying to make real-time adjustments based on monitoring. It was a huge help! I appreciate the video - thank you!

      Please don't, that's not really nice in regards to other creators - promoting someone else on their channels. Besides it does look like bot activity if it's posted on a lot of other videos, which eventually gonna hurt my channel more than promote it.

    • @honestnewsnet

      @@Neverwho I strongly disagree. Do you know how hard it is to find this kind of information? This is a game changer for me as is for many others that own this powerhouse tool. I think everyone that bought this unit needs to see this video due to the invaluable information concerning the UC alone. How the UC works together with Studio One. I wish I had this knowledge 6 months ago, it would have made my life a whole lot easier. Anywho is done. I will not post this link anymore but what I have posted to promote another RUclips channel is my gift to you and all those that will hopefully benefit as well. God bless you! By the way your not praising yourself another is appreciating your video and promoting it so other can benefit. Thanks again!

    • @Neverwho

      Glad to help!
      Shock mount - Boya BY-C04, it's not the best tbh, a little bit too stiff for oktava, but better than nothing for sure :)
      wind screen - just cut off the top part of standard shotgun windscreen, helps a bit with plosives, but not exactly amazing at doing that lol

    Hi Neverwho, really loved this video helped me get everything setup, but moving from my old interface to the io24 my SM7B seems to only be coming through on the left ear? Previously I was able to record Stereo but now it seems like I have to use Mono, any tips?

    • @Neverwho
      @Neverwho  2 года назад

      Heya! What software do you use to record? in revelator input 1 is left, input 2 is right, and those are mono, which is normal for multi-input interfaces :) if you use something like OBS, make sure that you don’t have channels linked in universal control (bottom left corner - little chain link).

    • @destin5103
      @destin5103 2 года назад

    As new to io24 , I search a tutorial on how to setup gain on the mic. The manul said nothing about it. I have no visual feedback in io24 like in other audiointerfaces. I am totally lost right in the beginning. 😞

    • @Neverwho
      @Neverwho  2 года назад

      universal control has mic level meter, make sure you set that slider to default position (just press alt and click the slider), then start talking and monitor your levels while adjusting the gain. You want to be somewhere around starting -15 up to -10db if you stream or do live content, and around -18 to -12 if you just record :)

    • @DieTabbi
      @DieTabbi 2 года назад

      @@Neverwho I tried that ou. I have a rode podmic and with 44db I have -35db if I give more gain it sound horrible. To setup the mic in my GoXLR mini was so easy. But this omg I could cry. • @DieTabbi
      @DieTabbi 2 года назад

      @@Neverwho on the very left side. under the 48v there the gain knob. And umpf it is not easier or even easy as in GoXLR. I see in OBS I am around -5 to 0db but in IO24 around -30db. I recorded it and it is quieter. Sorry that I am so dumb, but that is nothing for a newcomer. And I use my GoXLR mini since 2 years now. Nother one, I thought it would be louder for my DT990pro but it is overall quieter. Maybe I am to stupid could be. Alone the socket XLR in front headphone in rear drives me as streamer crazy.
