Chicago is one of those few cities where all emergency service vehicles look absolutely amazing, all of them.
First truck forget turn on lights ,hahaha
Awkward- happens!
I wonder why the truck behind them didn't try to let them know that on the radio lmao
@@irishgaming8061 Yeah they usually do. Strange!
This is a good question, haha
Could of been a bad toggle, I've had them fail before going code
That first squad had a dying siren 😂
No wonder why it's not in service now lol
Was wondering if they would put a spare on!
@@CobraEmergencyNorthAmerica Both pieces are in spares now. The frontlines were sent back to Rosenbauer
@@90210FireBuff Oh damn! Did you catch the spares? I love the old Squad trucks!
@Capt_ CJ For the time being
I love the front windshield face look of the first truck!
I really like how the first truck responding only has the siren on. At no time did the truck have on the emergency lights as it races down the busy streets of Chicago. Hahaha
Yup awkward mistake!
you would think Squad 1A would let Squad 1 know their lights weren’t on via radio. cool clips man.
FB1 Response Videos it was a malfunction, they were sent back to rosenbauer
😂 I wonder if The First Truck Was Also Playing A Siren Tone On The PA , it sound like it, Especially if The Truck is supposed to be out of service but did a Run anyway.
Chicago Fireman, "But Sir....The Trucks Outta Service"
Fire Chief: "It Can Drive Can't It....Get GOING!!!"
Firemen "Yes Sir, Right Away!!!"
1:14 Hmm, glad to see I’m not the only one who runs to get videos like this!
Haha NO way was I gonna miss a police boat!
Even by Chicago fd your service and time and efforts are deeply appreciated thanks they deserve alot of credit tons of it let's honor and appreciate the paramedics and firemen who proudly serve great job great team work and great and sweet catches as usual still going strong great team efforts are deeply appreciated thanks stay safe and warm out there much love to all the 1st responders god bless you guys thanks you guys rock way to go !!! Joe 😅😅😊
Awesome footage!!
Beautiful city, beautiful emergency services
Great catches, the newer rigs look pretty cool
They look amazing when lit up!
Chicago
Nice catches! Love the Chicago rigs, they seem very interesting and some better looking than others
Same!
Amazing video cobra!
Awesome video can’t believe you caught a boat responding
Awesome job!! Real nice couple of trucks!
Yes!!!
Nice Finds!
Nice vid
Pretty cool that the CPD boat has a Fed. Sig. Touchmaster, but poor cop has to cover his ears because of how loud it is.
yea good catches of these different emagency vehicles
Nice!
That CPD patrol boat was hauling ass!
Wow what a lucky catch!!
Damn the boat has a touchmaster? NICE
Most definitely
Why are there Police Lights on some of the Fire Vehicle's.
Why is Engine 1 back in a spare?
When can I apply to CFD, recruitment is avaiable all the time? What is the point system? How many recruits for one place?
Anyone else got reminded of chicago fire tv show by watching this, it was always on NBC
When you fucking see yourself waiting at a corner
At 0:06 Why does the fire truck have no lights on??
Shelly Laws They forgot to turn them on...
No it was a malfunction with Squad 1’s lights & they got sent back to rosenbauer
last time i went to chicago the river was blue :p
Sweet
Too everyone commenting about the truck with no lights on:
This issue is an electrical fault. You can easily tell that it is an electrical fault because of the Siren. As some have said, it sounds like they played one through the PA!
This should answer your question.
What's with the green flashing lights?
It’s a tradition that came from a commissioner that applied a nautical theme to the lighting. Red = port, green= starboard
They move like turtles! Is this in slow motion???
Bruh, this ain't rual back roads, this is Down town Chicago.
There's a lot of idiot drivers they have to avoid.
Squad 1 didn’t have lights
when did Chicago start running small Europian Trucks?
Recently. Not sure when but the Squads changed to Rosenbaeur, the German fire truck manufacturer who also do American rigs. But I hear they're major broken at Squad 1 and were sent back for repairs.
👍👍👍👍👍
I'm pretty sad to see CFD ditch the green lights on the new rigs
They're bringing it back, the newest rigs have it
@@alarmoffice711 fantastic news, thank you! I'm sure it wasnt a very popular choice not to include them
Yeah I am glad they're bringing them back on the new rigs! Blue does look good though.
Was that I saw a green light on Engine 1?
yes
@@worldrenowned I thought the Chicago Fire Department stopped using green lights and replaced them with blue lights.
@@nicholaspeberdy8537 That's because engine 1 is an old unit. It had green lights before they stopped using them for a while. They have started using green lights again on their new tower ladders.
@@worldrenowned I see. Thanks mate.
Why put a siren on a boat?
Boat traffic, the river can get crowded.
Same reason for putting a siren on a cop car, ambulance, or fire engine.
0:10 siren but no lights...
LOL WUT
Either the driver forget to activate the lights or there was an electrical issue...
Both. Siren was dying, and driver forgot the lights.
Yo what happend
I will never understand why new fire trucks in the 21st century will allow the siren to run without the master light switch on. Our year 2000 engine at work won’t even let us run the Q without the lights on.
0:59 just listen to the back ground
👀🤔
Someone's getting that stick if you know what I mean
How the fuck do you forget to turn your emergency lights on?
What was the emergency does anyone know
Read the description...
Water Rescue
Ghostwarrior YT you’re *
Sorry.... I couldn’t resist XD
How come scuba has no lights on?
Scuba had lights, Squad didn't
engine 1 (the first one) was blaring its sirens away with no lights on. hmmm
That was Squad 1. Yeah an awkward mistake that sometimes happens!
Mmmmmmmmmm, Rosenbauer Commander.....
Remember when Chicago had the best looking fleet in the country? Those days are gone.....
Those new trucks are the ugliest trucks I have ever seen.
@@ppmm2417 The Rosenbauer squads?
@@nightfury8440 Yes.
Do you think they know their lights weren't on?
Fire ladder truck Rosenbauer American
1:13
This was about fire, why did you say police
Dude. It's a person on the water response. Not a fire
Police also responded to assist the Fire Department with the Water Rescue.
0:53 nice horns
Weeoo
Are there any skinny Paramedic supervisors?
It's Chicago, everyone is fat.
Chicago style hot dogs and deep dish pizza will do that to ya...😅
%
If the first truck at 0:07 can get through the intersection with no lights, there's no reason another can't get through with just a lightbar. All you need people!
Really, lights and sirens on the river as if thats necessary..
That's nothing new. Because they are traveling so fast on the water other crafts need to be warned. It's standard procedure for law enforcement and fire boats on just about any congested body of water all over the country.
@@happyjack880 Absolutely untrue!
@@cornchips2201 that's funny. I've been in several large cities where it's exactly true. You're saying I've imagined it?
tee rex it’s a busy river. Lots of boat traffic
CO
There's a lawsuit in the making.

It’s was written don not follow on the truck but you did so that’s ileagel
No it's not as long as you don't break any road rules and stay out of there way, don't forget people have scanners and other ways of finding out what's going on with you following the trucks.
I lost 100 braincells reading this
Not my fault it's not against the law in Australia!
@@theofficialemergencyservic7881 Not you, im talking about the kid who said the first comment
Ok soz mate couldn't tell, yes bit of a silly comment
Truck shouldn't be in service if lights don't work if they forgot to turn them on not a good thing either That's a recipe for disaster if they hit anyone
