I really love the sound, you can tell from far away that the car is coming yet you don't get your ears hurt when they pass by. In Budapest it's so damn loud i have to cover my ears when they pass by.
I like the compilation. A compilation between the old used color scheme and the current color scheme. This is the Catalonia's ambulance history.
The Spanish drivers are better to get out of the way for an ambulance than I have thought they would do nicely done filming that.

I think its bizarre how orange is the color they use in Barcelona. Orange is the color for lights that construction vehicles and other non-critical vehicles that need some form of flashing light to get peoples attention.

Hans Petersen And in Spain. They use the same color lights for tow trucks and construction equipment as they do for ambulances and fire trucks. Only recently they're started using red as a secondary color, and very rarely blue.
Duke Arvid That's spanish law. Fire/EMS must have primary orange lights there. There are also 6 countries in Europe which only allow two tone sirens...

Me gusta escuchar el sonido de las ambulancias de barcelona. Me hace acordar cuando estuve ahi en el 2014.
El que más utilizan es el "tritono" (panana), "vulgarmente" llaman a dicha sirena la "ecológica" ya que es la menos molesta y menos ruido genera

Amber lights are for stationary utility vehicles, or moving airside vehicles. They should change to blue lights, like the rest of Europe.

Everyone is seemingly horrified by the orange lights, I mean, just because it's reserved for construction vehicles somewhere else it doesn't mean these are wrong, laws variate
Reading through the comments. I agree that America has the cooler lights and siren, for sure, but you can't say the ambulance and stuff in europe suck. These cars/trucks are there to help people, they're not rolling discos, nothing wrong with orange lights, people there are used to it. America has the nice trucks and lights and sirens, yeah, but for that they don't have the education and tactics we do have here, american rescue services do not really count to the best in the world...

holy, there are a lot of different companies patroling Barcelona right now, this video only showed 3[The main, That green one and the private white ambulance] but I can tell you, there are lots of different ones.
In addition, they can now use blue lights, I have seen 3 with blue light 1 day.

En Belgique dans certaine caserne de pompier les gyrophare sont rouge et bleu comme aux États-Unis. Mais généralement c'est bleu et la loie en Belgique c'est le bleu uniquement mais meme dans la police tu retrouve souvent gyrophare bleu et blanc a l avant et rouge et bleu a l arrière comme ça en fonction des gyrophare on c est voir ou se trouve le véhicule si il arrive de face ou qu il suis la même direction que toi.

Why do the ambulances have amber emergency lights?
Why are the lights yellow? A bit confusing considering the indicators are already yellow and they flash, plus what colour do they have for a vehicle that isn't an emergency vehicle but still needs to be made aware of?

Spanish law reserves the blue lights for police use only. Other emergency services must use orange, which can be combined with red.

Mercedes Ambulances, especially can type, are excellent to work in and drive wonderfully! American emergency vehicles are slow and impractical!
The Mercedes Sprinter is probably the world's most popular ambulance chassis. They are seen all over the UK, Europe, Australia & New Zealand. There are many Freightliner-built versions now in the US, especially in the NYC area.
I worked on the Sprinter for 10 years and it was a lovely vehicle to drive - very positive and agile.
