- Many dutch emergency vehicles are driving with lights and sirens in Amsterdam - The Netherlands.
They drive with ill children and children with a handicap or with a chronicle desease to a zoo in Amsterdam and back home so they forget their disability for a day.

Since I grew up in the Us where our sirens don't sound anything like this, hearing this many Dutch sirens at one time sounds really strange to me for some reason. Some of them, like the ambulances, even sound a little musical.

Op 3:35 zie je één van de vele E-klasse ambulances die de regio Utrecht telt. Deze ambulances hebben de rijeigenschappen van een personenwagen en zijn daarom erg handig in de drukke stad.
Bijna elke sirene is anders: de ene is net wat sneller, andere net wat hogere toon en de andere heeft een luchthoorn erdoor.

At 3:35 you see one of the many E-class ambulances from the region of Utrecht. These ambulances handle like a regular car and therefor are very handy navigating through the busy city centre.
Almost every siren is different: one is just a tad faster than the other, some have just a slighly higher pitch and another one also uses airhorns in addition to the regular siren.
@@singularity6305 Two-tones aren't. The three-tone sirens were there for directionality and were great in determining where the vehicle would come from. Ambulances were thus the only one to have 'em.
It's just small tolerances in electronic components and the different controllers that make up for the differences (even though that is a bit of surprise, with all the very tightly controlled microcontroller-controlled stuff inside everything these days.

Some of the UK sirens are simple, boring two-tone jobs; others appear to have been bought as a job-lot from THE DONALD-land - really grotesque noises, but if they get drivers' attention then they've succeeded in their purpose.

I'm from the US and personally, I love the 2/3-tone sirens!
In the UK, the police, ambulance and fire service vehicles have a range of 3 sirens (wail, yelp and phaser), with 2 or 3 tone sirens like in the Netherlands now not in existance, only found on discontinued older emergency vehicles before electronic sirens were introduced - so to me, these two tones sound rather funny

the dutch used to hear it all the time in the early 2000's, we could hear the difference between emergency services with a mnemonic: "nog net niet dood" translating to "still not dead yet"

Why is that Red Cross ambulance using amber lights at 3:15? I'm from Spain and (unfortunately) we use amber in ambulances and fire trucks, so my mind is puzzled about it.
Good one, because it's weird that it has a siren (emergency vehicles always have blue lights and vehicles with orange beacons only are not allowed to have a siren).

@ 0:11 The dutch police have jet skis? Awesome I've not seen any other law enforcement use jet skis for patrolling the water ways around a city
I dont think thats what they're used for. In fact ive never ever seen a police jetski its probably for rotterdams port or something to get to a boat if necessary

I used think these were all fire trucks and ambulances and police vehicles driving in London Britain 🇬🇧 and brand new vehicles on the fleet in Britain but turns out because there yellow plates and I thought UK yellow plates I though UK was the only place with yellow plates and I thought yellow plates were in front but it’s in the back they have white plates infront but probably some cars in UK have front yellow UK plates
