    Yes guys, please take the doctor's advice on limiting depth to 0.1 to 0.3 mm at home. I DIYed the 1.5mm on my skin monthly with the dermaroller, and I now have these parallel, fine lines that appear when I smile. Be caution of skin dragging and skin tears! If anyone has tips to reverse the damage, please let me know.

    I've done 3 dermapen sessions at home so far, face, neck and chest, varying depths from .25-1.0mm depnding on location. I've had zero problems and good results that are compounding especially in evening out skin tone and fine lines. People just need to make sure everything is clean, allow the skin to heal for a couple of days, and stay out of direct sun.

    Wow. Extremely impressed with Dr. Lim's honesty. I really appreciate it! I was amazed when he said sometimes there is no difference between the at-home devices vs. in office! I wanted to say that I have had really good results with the Dr. Pen which I have used as safely as possible, at home. I have done 8 treatments. I am not trying to self-promote, though I am, but I am going to post a video tomorrow morning with my results. I've been documenting this self experiment extensively over the past 16 mos. I was really surprised by the results. I'm amazed with what certain skincare procedures and methods can do for aging, lines, etc. The thing that surprised me most about my results was that it got rid of a lot of sunspots, which are normally so difficult to get rid of. Anyway, I am going to finish watching his video now. Just wanted to share this! Thank you, Dr. Lim for your honesty!

    It's funny how Dr. Davin is okay with DIY microneedling and actually provides detailed information about it but loud aestheticians make fun of those who do DIY videos instead of being helpful. Microneedling, in my experience, combined with quality skincare products have been the only effective treatment for my scars and acne. Been doing it for years and I don't suffer from acne anymore and deep scars including some wrinkles have actually become shallow significantly.

    I love my Dr. Pen. I completely filled in a hyperpigmented acne scar. I still have some pigmentation left in spite of the glycolic and ascorbic acids I use on my skin care regime.
    My needle length ranges from. 75 to 1.5mm depending on where I'm treating.
    I don't use numbing cream, but I do treat my face and needles with rubbing alcohol. I only use hyaluronic acid during needling because I'm afraid of getting granulas.
    I've noticed that after a session and for hours afterward my mood is elevated and I feel kind off charged up. Is their something about the mild pain of microneedling that can account for that, maybe the release of endogenous opiods?
    Some people engage in superficial cutting to alter their moods. I suspect the same thing is happening with my Dr. Pen. Think of all the superficial cutters out there who could have beautiful skin instead of wrist scars!

    Thanks for all the info! Could you do a video guide on how to research for the right dermatologist in your area? I would love to visit your clinic, but unfortunately don't live in Australia. I'm overwhelmed by the options in London, and want to find an affordable but safe clinic for acne scar removal. I suspect other people are in the same boat. :)

    Nice job Dr Lim. Could you please do a video about hazards of using harsh topicals like bpo. Recently Ive got some shallow scars out of nowhere. But I think they can be because of using bpo, maybe bpo interferes with the skins healing ability, or reduces the collagen production or something like that.

    Hello! Do you have any recommendations for SUPER affordable eye creams that help with fine lines and wrinkles and puffiness? Or as an alternative, can you use the cerave moisturizer on your eyes as an eye cream? Or is the skin under your eyes too sensitive? I really trust your opinion so thank you!

      You don't need a dedicated eye cream. Just use your moisturizer. See Dr. Drays youtube channel, she talks about this.

    Would using a 0.5m roller be safe on the neck for neck wrinkles? Is microneedling safe on the neck with a at home derma roller?

  • @han-l3c
    @han-l3c 10 месяцев назад

    I've heard that only 0.25mm microneedles should be used at home, but isn't it just the rollers that are dangerous? The stamp-type seems like it wouldn't tear the skin, so why shouldn't I use anything over 1mm? Besides the risk of infection, what other side effects could there be?

    I love the honesty that Dr Davin said in this vlogs, but I still prefer to go to derma rather than DIY, it's your face u'r talking about and if u messed it up, well, u do u. I have nothing against DIY microneedling but do it conservatively. That's all.

    Hello! I know diy skincare is a big no but can you make a homemade lip scrub? Out of 1 teaspoon honey and 2 teaspoons sugar? Or replacing honey with olive oil? I don’t know but I really need a lip scrub and there super expensive so I’m wondering if that’s something you could diy? Or if there’s any lip scrubbing tools that would last longer then an actual product? Thank you!

      I mix a handful of sugar (I don't measure) with a dollop of my Cetaphil skin cleansing gel. Gel is good because it's slippery. You don't need anything in particular. Just something to help the sugar slide over the skin as you massage to exfoliate.

    Hi, can you debunk something? I heard this thing that menstrual blood is supposed to be a good for acne prevention, kinda like the vampire facial and some people use it as a face mask. Is this okay for the skin? Is this real? Help I’m debating it.

    • @adylaar6708
      @adylaar6708 3 года назад +1

      Some people said the protein plasma in blood will help the acne. But if you think clearly, plasma and blood used in medical ( for various treatment) are drawn out and kept in sterile environment . Ie directly from the blood stream and into medical bag (tube etc), never exposed to the environment.
      Using menstrual blood, is old blood that have died, mixed with uterine lining, passed through various places/ hollow places which would have its own microflora ( i mean we all have some good bacteria on our skin, that can overgrow and cause infection. ive had a keloid scar njection and got infection. The dermatologist said its a common risk and gave me antibiotics)
      Also as a it expelled from our body and exposed to the environment, bacteria are easily attracted to those.
      So nevertheless, menstrual blood is a body waste and gross thing. Pls treat it like booger and never lick/eat those like any 3 y/o might do.
