    I had done it again last night after many months ago, and you had been very helpful in answering my questions.
    You suggested to start with 0.25 which was what i did. Last night i had used numbing cream and i used 1mm which didn't hurt at all. This time i didn't have much reaction after and my face was pretty much back to normal the next day. I did put a crazy lot of copper peptide and Hyrulornic serum, and then a collagen mask overnight.
    I had found my pores shrink after and i have very large pores
    I did feel though find the nose and bridge is harder to get on.
    And totally agree on doing it on the whole face since the cartridge can't be reused.

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  Месяц назад +1

      Anne, thanks so much for sharing this! That is great to hear. And, you are right on about the nose. It is so hard to get to. I think there are other options for stams or rollers that might work better on the nose. Dr. Rajani just posted a video on microneedling at home and it was so helpful - ruclips.net/video/1r6MdKDhE-M/видео.html if you want to check it out. I am thinking of getting a derma stamp to reach the nose or certain areas better. I'm so glad the pores seem to have shrunk. I have noticed the same thing when I microneedle regularly.

    Hi Holly great video, this video comes at great timing because I bought some micro needle rollers a few years ago and just saw them a few days ago and was thinking if I should try them out and wondering if it would work on my skin and what would I have to do first lol m, so do I need to do anything to my skin first like wash it with any product, soap or how about after doing the needleling do I need to apply anything or just leave it alone or use warm or cold water?? Sorry for all the questions just that the needles look so intimidating 😂. Maybe a live session on you doing the micro needle would be good. Great seeing you again Holly your sking looks so great are you sure you're not younger maybe the hospital got the year on your birth certificate wrong? Jk Hope you're doing great stay safe Holly sorry I haven't watched many of your video posts lately I've been busy building an outdoor kitchen w/ a wood fire pizza oven in my back yard that was left on hold a few years and finally got motivated this summer to finish it and I'm finally seeing progress and getting close to finishing it it's been really hot this summer so it"s taken longer due to it. I've gotten so lazy of late when it comes to skincare , how do you keep so motivated, how many times a day do you work on your skincare? It is a morning and night routine, or even more, is there a during the afternoon process. Do you have lazy days too, where you just skip it

    Hey, I’ve watched a few of your videos and never heard you mention using Tretinoin in combination with microneedling. Have you considered this? They can produce very similar results so might be useful. I’ve just started Tretinoin, and have a dermaroller for hair growth. Studies have shown they can actually work synergistically and enhance the effects for both hair and skin, Tretinoin even enhances minoxidil absorption to the scalp. But it has to be done responsibly as they’re potent and harsh treatments.

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  11 месяцев назад +2

      Great question! I haven't been using Tretinoin with microneedling yet. I'm going to look into this more. I think you've just given me a good video idea - so thank you. I would like to see how my skin handles it. I haven't been using Tretinoin at all, though I have used it in the past from time to time. I've tried to get my skin acclimated to it numerous times, but it's never happened. Maybe I need to try more products or different formulations out as they've always been too harsh, or my skin just peels non-stop. How have you been doing with using it? What percentage is it? That's great you're using the dermaroller for hair growth. I've heard positive things about microneedling/dermarolling and hair growth, in combination with things. I have heard great things about minoxidil working really well too. I was thinking of doing a video on that too. Hopefully you'll get some great results!

    • @kristiangurholt59
      @kristiangurholt59 11 месяцев назад

      @@LifeDIY That’s great! It’s currently my third day on Tretinoin, and I’m definitely noticing increased sensitivity and redness. I’m using 0.05%, so “mid” strength. I first started out with Retinal 0.05 and 0.1 % three weeks ago, to somewhat prepare my skin for Tretinoin. Using Retinal 0.05% every night for 1-2 weeks did not cause issues, and I think it’s a great place to start.
      The most important thing by far is to keep the skin hydrated and protected with SPF50, even when inside. I wear sunscreen and a cap on cloudy days and still get rosy cheeks, so yeah this can’t be overstated.
      As far as combining Tret with microneedling, it’s unclear how often I’d be able to microneedle at 0.05mm, which is what I have. I understand people like yourself who use it on the face do it no more than once a month, but on the hair-loss side of things I’m seeing people using even multiple times a week. Although it is tempting to use both treatments at once (+ minoxidil and Finasteride for the hair), realistically, I think it’s best to get used to Tret over however many months it takes before possibly combining with microneedling.

      Yes, I saw that too. I don't agree with that at all. :) If you haven't seen Dr. Davin Lim's videos yet, he has some great content on this and other skincare procedures people do at home, or in an office. Some of the dermatologists understand that people do this at home, and just teach the safest ways to do it. And, I really like that about his content.

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  11 месяцев назад

      Great question! I know it is definitely safe to do microneedling around the lips to treat liplines. On the lips - from what I've gathered so far is that it is safer to do nanoneedling. Or, if you have a dermaroller, it would be safer to use that on the lips than a microneedling pen with a needle cartridge. I think if someone were to treat their lips with a normal needle cartridge, that could be done as well at a VERY low depth setting. You may want to check out Penny's video here: ruclips.net/video/SXPcyFhVcRo/видео.html as she shares her nano needling methods with a Dr. Pen. She does use it to treat her lips, but she's using a nano-cartridge instead of a needle one. Also if someone is prone to cold sores, be careful with this!

    hello hello hello unusual for me to see you at this time of the day, he he.
    well, the real question with microneedling is : after the results are in (basically after the you finished the treatment and you have the optimum results) how much does it last ? how much until you need a new session ? or is it something you do now, and you revise it after 2 years or so ?
    anyway, all that aside, i feel fatigued lately. i need a small vacation with a tight schedule of eat-sleep / sleep-eat. lol. also, i want to make white pudding (the british kind. it's done with fat and barley and leek it's such a tasty mess) only that i want to add my own twist to it. it might not work, but i want to try it.
    SO ! the original recipe asks for fat only, but i want to use half fat half meat. basically the raw bacon part, either that or the back fat but with a bit of the loin meat as well.

      Hello hello hello to you! I've been up since 1 AM my time. My sleep is short nowadays. I'm pretty tired too. :) Good thoughts and questions on the microneedling. I only do it every few months now, but I have gone at least 8 months without doing it and it's fine. It's hard to say how long results last. Maybe it depends on the person and the issue they were treating.
      Besides that, I wish you had a RUclips channel so you can share all your interesting life endeavors and thoughts and the stuff you're making. :) It would be great!

      @@LifeDIY 1 a.m. ? then it's morning for you now. man you must be getting sleepy already, lol. that happens to me too, especially when the day shortens. i just... fall asleep around 20:00 and then wake up in the middle of the night with nothing to do, and then in the morning i start to get tired, and finally between 8 and 10 i fall asleep😅
      ok, so about yt, meh... i had this little project but it's on hold now. plus... yt is not ideal anymore which is the main reason why i don't want to. plus, it's like... a third of the english vocabulary is banned here. again, it's a complex topic... maybe we could talk about it sometime, idk.
      btw, i want to buy a pair of IEM (in ear monitors) for a better audio quality experience but i am so undecided, he he he.
      all that aide, i hope you have a good day ahead. and if not, hey don't worry about it, it's just one of those days, lol. if you feel like chatting, you can always text me or have a voice call. i usually try to avoid calls because sometimes the signal is interrupted by bad signal and coverage. so it gets frustrating to keep asking the other person "hm ? come again ?" and then they do the same thing😂 i need to change networks, idk. it's the stupid internet protocol that came to be just before covid, like.... the signal is no longer smooth, it's in hiccups so to speak (to save broadband they say. pf ! ) so yeah i should change carriers and plans too, lol.
      god this is a long message again, sorry😅 ok i will leave you to your rest now, ha ha ha. btw have you seen black mirror yet ? the series ? if you bored, it's a good series to watch. each episode has its own story.

    I’m fucking amazed by how timeless you look, you don’t look young or old you look « timeless » this is weird but in a good way. I’m very afraid of the thirties when my Face will begin to look old but honestly if i’m sure that i would look like the masculine équivalent of you i wouldn’t be worried. Your type of timeless look is even better than a young face, you have the full bone structure of an adult but with a good skin, i can see some marks of age on your face around the mouth for example but it doesn’t look old it’s weird it’s Not saggy at all it’s just … marks like it’s cute in fact it’s Not something negative like Most people your age have that make saggy face, congrats

      Wow, thank you! I wouldn't worry about looking older in your 30s as that's still pretty young. Guys tend to look even more handsome with age. If you just wear sunscreen it can make a huge difference, plus if you do some glycolic peels + sun protection, your skin will stay youthful for a long time. We'll all get wrinkles eventually and it's ok. I think people are getting sick of the over-use of fillers and botox and the natural look will be appreciated more. 🙏

    Do you microneedling every month? how often do you microneedling to mentain your results

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  4 месяца назад +1

      Great question! I used to do it a lot more regularly but nowadays I can go many months without doing it. I should probably do it every couple of months, but sometimes I go four months in between a treatment. Somehow I feel like I'm maintaining a lot of the results still even without doing it that often.

    Can you confirm that you use 0.5mm depth around the eyes?

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  11 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks for asking this! Yes, I do 0.5mm for most of the area around my eyes, although I am not sure if I clearly mentioned that if I have some lines on the side of my eye area, I will do a quick 1.5mm there. It is painful though. If i have lines lower down under the eyes, I will also do a quick 1.5mm treatment. I try to stick to 0.5 in the area closer to the eyes.
      The only issue is the inner corner area, right under the eye. I can't feel it at all in the area right under the inner corner (where people get hallowing) because my skin is not flat there. So in that case I will increase the depth, just so that it touches the skin in that one little area. Otherwise since I can't lay it flat, I can't do a treatment there. I am not really going that deep, as I am just trying to get the needles to get into the skin in that area. I really hope that makes sense! I should have explained this in the video. But, I can explain it in another one coming up.

      This is best just for a once a month treatment at the most. But, nanoneedling can be done daily or way more often for exfoliation. I did a video on it here: ruclips.net/video/Wc-JJyX5pt0/видео.html. 💛

    Micro needling or chemical peels for fine lines?

    • @LifeDIY
      @LifeDIY  11 месяцев назад

      These are some great questions! It's close, but I'd say peels. You can check out my post here: lifeanddiy.com/before-after-microneedling-dietary-changes-tca-glycolic-peels-10-years/ to see the types of results I've had from different skincare methods at home. I've been experimenting and documenting for years. When it comes to fine lines and wrinkles, I have noticed more of an improvement from the peels. It's weird though because I did have lines on the very sides of my forehead (both sides) and I didn't do a good job with my before photos, to capture that. They totally went away from microneedling (and have never come back yet). I think if you can do both treatments here and there, it will help the most.
