We appreciate your business!
Own it. Love it. Wearing in rotation with far more expensive watches. ‘Hold it’s own’ and then some! Very accurate too. The perfect combination of vintage looks and modern movement utilities
Bravo! Yet another great timepiece from Longines’ Heritage collection. Dollar for dollar, Longines is delivering fine watches to the watch buying public.
Once in a while, a youtuber posts exactly the video you've been wanting to watch. Well, this is it for me. Thanks Teddy!
Fantastic looking watch. Longines is killing it lately with it's Heritage line!
It’s a beautiful simple timepiece
I think Longines did this watch a disservice by marketing it so aggressively as an archival piece. Unlike most of their heritage releases, the design and typography of this one remain contemporary, the sizing right in line with the current trend toward mid-size cases, and the effortless cool of the blued-hands/brown lume/champagne-dial color palette comes off as fresh, youthful, and fun...like what we'd celebrate coming from a microbrand. I have a hunch that if Longines just put this out as a new model with some retro inspiration (like the Spirit) rather than focusing on it as an archival piece for collectors, it would have been far more popular. It certainly gets the most compliments from non-collectors of any watch I wear, and none of them make any comments about it looking retro or vintage.
What a gorgeous looking vintage inspired watch!Longines is killing with vintage inspired watches lately, considering pricing.Amazing watch.
Beautiful watch but your spot on about the 30 meters of water resistance
Right how i like: not a large case with simple dial overall and a small circle of numbered minutes outside the hours.
I like it. The case finishing on has certainly improved. I'm a fan of the box crystal but maybe not quite so much the aged dial that almost seems at odds with the pristine hands and arguably the application of AR coating. As a new watch it's an interesting piece regardless of any of my nit pickings at it looks like a super at a glance readable watch. Unless I'm mistaken the case back shows 5 Bar resistance that equates to 50M at 5:24 (excellent macro shots). As you state the lugs are long for the case size like some others from the heritage family. The Tuxedo is similar in this respect. Keep up the great reviews Teddy.
Longines + Heritage = 👌👍😍
Looks the part! Man I love Longines, they really have done an excellent job of bringing their classic original styles into the modern age. They don't offer quite so much in the movement department besides what they do to modify mass-market movements, but hey neither does hamilton or tissot. I think they are really a luxury watch for the everyman.
A great watch $ for $ and quality Longines is number 1.
A lume shot showing luminescense would have been nice .
I like it but wish they had kept the original case dimensions.
My first watch❤❤❤
We need a duel with this against longines heritage military!
Nice watch but what puts me off purchasing is the lack of a date plus the distressed dial.
What's with Longines lug to lug?! Seems they adore 🥺 loooong 5cm for a 38mm watch...
Exactly, that makes it a no-go.
Too low water resistance and really dislike box crystals ( look naff & too vunerable).
Overall nicely styled tho, love the distressed dial and no date (the most pointless complication ,only useful once per day unless you have serious memory problems).
Cool watch, wouldn't want one myself .
Cheers mate 👍👍
i like it!
appreciate ur video pretty much ,i’m having one of this on my wrist but i’m just wondering why the luminous on it is so weak that i barely see it in dark ,did i get a fake one or what ?
I really like this watch except for the long lugs and the WR... a Marina Nationale watch with 30m? No-go... my aim is on the blue Oris Cervo Volante🤔
Hi Teddy, would this be considered a dress watch?
Longines vhp pls 🙏🙏🙏
Maybe at half that price I would give it some thought - but no deal as is.
Beautiful watch - strongly considering it. The 30 meter (100 ft) water resistance doesn't seem inappropriate for shallow water diving as that's the limit of an Advanced Open Water Diver certification for scuba. I'd be more worried about ruining the beautiful leather strap when washing my hands.
30M does not mean you can use this watch or any other watch with that WR for diving up to 30M below water level. Not even close to that - 30M water resistance makes it splash proof: wash your hands with it on, perhaps OK under some light rain but you cannot swim or even shower with a 30M WR watch. To me for a Marine Nationale watch with navy history that appears quite simply an insane decision and Teddy is absolutely correct in highlighting that as a major shortcoming of this otherwise beautiful watch. Now if you are NEVER under any imaginable circumstance going to end up in the water then 30M WR (splash proof) is more than plenty but I for one wouldn't risk 2k of my hard-earned money for a watch you can quite easily kill by getting caught in torrential rain or forget to take it off for a shower, no matter how pretty that watch.
No screwed crown?
I prefer to buy Sinn 556 for nearly half of that price. But still good looking watch.
Ohh.. the big price😞, watch is very good
Old school, old fashion called it if you dislike it, or today's classic if you're a nostomania man.
I don't get the fautina thing.
Shame it’s discontinued
36 mm would be perfect. 38mm is too much! That’s why I consider the SMITHS military a better option with a fair price. Thank you for the video.👏👏
We need more 36 and 37mm watches. I currently only own a marathon msar but I’m wanting to add more
Most men need at least a 38mm. If you are paying that much money for a watch, you want people to be able to see it. When the watch is too small, you can't really see the details of the dial.
Nice execution overall, but I cant see where in the production process where the $2k asking price goes.
If you're trying to find sense in a luxury hobby then you're looking in the wrong place buddy.
The lugs are a bit too long. Should have been a bit shorter to work better with smaller wrists.
48.5mm lug to lug ... really long..
It should be 46mm or less
30 meters? I thought the standard was 50 meters for watches. Maybe it is 30 meters. Either way it would not be an issue. Nice watch.
Longines suck ass at making watches. I'm sorry, they are a loser brand. 30m? Are you nuts? Forget you!
cute and beautiful
Nice tid-bit, about the French law.lol
I would rather prefer the Stowa Partitio than this Longines...
Ouf 1900 Euros. Looks nice but I will stay with my Hamilton khaki field mechanical.
Bu saat nerde var
For $2,000.00 it should have a minimum of 100M water resistence
Don't even bother with Longines, man what a loser brand.
@@gmshadowtraderswhat would a non loser brand be?
@@Explorer40mm Longines, potentially
@@gmshadowtraders wait I thought you said longines was the loser brand
@@Explorer40mm Do you think winners never have bad days? No my friend, it's degrees of success. The brand Longines could be a winner, but I can't ignore they've made real stinker watches. The latest 39mm Legend diver is a much better offering. Now do you understand what I mean? Stop thinking everything is black and white.
Man why does it have to be 2 G's? gorgeous watch though
The WR is an absolute joke.
I love Longines, but I can't believe the market... why would you buy a watch cuz it looks really old but isn't actually old?? People out here in the kids' costume closet playing dress up...
That, or some people just prefer the style of older watches. A classic design will keep its appeal, and this Longines is a good example (althought WR rating is a bummer).
That is SUUUUUPER overpriced
