Really nice playing. Get into the groove. Are you going to make more eikaiwa videos? lol Just kidding. I'll stop making this joke eventually. Are you back in the US? Hard to imagine doing this in Japanese homes. Also might I suggest some headphones or ear protection? lol. But seriously though, it helps me to stay in the pocket more if I'm not overwhelmed.
This is a little studio in Japan! My teacher and I meet there and rock out for an hour. I hear ya on the ear protection, it's only an hour a week (with actually rocking out pretty limited, since most of the time is spent just practicing difficult portions and technique), but I know it's very important for anyone in a band. And there are def times when the backing track drowns out what I'm doing and it's hard to play on beat. At home I use a donner ded 200 electronic drum set so I don't annoy everyone in the community lol (and I've been out of the loop re: eikaiwa stuff for so long, i wouldn't know what to make. Maybe tell the story of how I got 'fired' but stayed on contract for a year..)
@@arstavial Do it brother. I'll watch for sure. Or even better, make a video talking about how you got out of the eikaiwa and/or teaching game altogether and what you're doing now. And yeah headphones can't be emphasized enough for really accurate playing with room acoustics that can mess you up. Can also play with a click track too which is extremely useful.
Well played man! I love this song :)
