Do you get little bumps in your paint? I have the 5x and about half the time there are little gobs in the paint. Thought I'd ask since you didn't put through a filter
@MasterBojangles use compressed air to blow off your substrate before you spray. Set up an exhaust fan and blow any dust into it. Always SVT! Sand, Vacuum (use a soft bristle brush attachment and get in all the crevices) and lastly, TACK! Run a tack cloth over the entire surface right before you shoot your finish

Pretty high pressure for that enamel. It’s the only enamel I use so great choice for that.

Follow the instructions. This is not a tutorial on how to set up the sprayer.
I used one for the first time today, but it’s my father in laws and he had a horizontal tip on it. Threw me for a loop at first. Nice machine though.
It's not a horizontal tip. You can loosen the tip with a couple wrenches and turn it.

I have gotten bumps before. But after I got a air filter to pull out the over spray it went away. I would try looking into that.
