I went to an allergenist a few years back and he told me to use latex foam mattresses only (no spring coil), and to use special pillow and mattress encasings. I've suffered from asthma as a child (fortunately, I outgrew it) and I have eczema. My skin got so bad I was nearly hospitalised and I couldn't sleep. It is absolutely insane that I had to go through life with this condition for decades (seeing multiple specialists) before being told to use these encasings.

This is literally the first recommendations given by allergist is to encase mattresses and pillowcases. Probably derms too

There is no reason to be snide. I was only told about 5 years ago by an allergenist that mattress encasings existed. I've seen multiple specialists since childhood (I'm now nearly 30) and not once did they say to use these products or to switch my mattress to foam latex. Since doing these things my eczema has dramatically improved. It's better to receive the info sometime than never at all.

@@lily5952 you are not running a business with the goal of helping those with eczema. Her protocols include expensive "heavy metal detoxes" (whatever that means) and drainages, and she somehow skipped the low hanging fruit
