Sorry this is up a bit later than you'd expect. The one day I basically just slept all day after grinding all the granblue guides, and the other day my left arm was acting up again which kinda made it hard to like, play the game and capture crap. Not as serious as it sounds I was remiss in my exercises and paid the price(left arm been an issue since forever). Its up now though!
Personally, I have been using Tremor with quan because: 1. Tremor gives +100hp (puts quan at the avg 1000hp) 2. Extra low/overhead projectiles and pressure with metallic 3. Crystal armor is always good if you can get it off 4. You can combo off of quan’s portal drop for ~400dmg meterless, which can be done anywhere on screen thanks to his s4, bf4 Also with portal drop you can get ~60% with fatal blow😏
@@Magishinobi s4 bf4, tremor earthquake, s13, s4 db4(EX), fatal blow for 580dmg from anywhere on screen s214 or s12 can also be used as starters, and the second s4 can be canceled into FB for >550dmg meterless
MK1 is my first traditional fighter and I am LOVING this channel. Your editing and production are amazing, and your gameplay + tips are even better! ROOF THE GOAT
I get the impression Quan Chi is going to be a struggle character against the top tiers, but I do like the way he plays in this game in terms of just being fun and different. I'm also a big fan of how much they played into the sorcery aspect with even his normals.
Another thing to note with Motaro is that you can combo from stand 4 into bone cage into teleport and get free combos. Catch someone lacking, and that's a free 35-40%. Enjoy!
Yep pressure fighters up close cause serious problems. The start up and recovery frames on his d1 suck. But once you've found good range you can just mix it up. I usually go for 2 1 4 db4. Also b3 is a really good whiff punish.
Back 34 into meterburn skull in the corner leads to some really nice combos, also 4 can combo into the teleport as a pretty damaging full screen poke, have to agree with the kameo picks, loving playing Quan chi with sub zero right now. thanks for the guide didn't realise I could fit 2 jumps in combos till I watched this also 😂 I'm enjoying the extra damage 😁.
Not sure how accurate this is, but with the overhead low projectile, I think it’s just one dash forward and you are in the perfect range to be right outside of the portal. If anyone else tries this let me know if it’s consistent with you as well
Thanks for showing me how to combo into the cage trap after the stomp without dropping the hits it's a swaggy combo...not to much damage but still bad as👍
There's a very unique or niche interaction/situation i'm very curious about that you didn't touch on in this video (which is fair). What i'd like to know is what happens if Quan Chi has his opponent stuck in the bone cage in the corner and they try to jump out (by jumping forward) while Quan Chi also has his Pushback portal open.
Can you post some kameo only combos? He’s just got so much flexibility that it would be helpful to see some labbing. For example I feel like cyrax has to be cracked because of net being a combo move now - that alone makes it worth it - but I can’t find any lab work. Everything is just intro guides. Cyrax/sub/scorpion/motaro/sektor BNBs pls
Very Helpful. I hate that the game is so balanced. So characters do 45%+ damage with little skill needed. Quan Chi is cool, but damage is not great. They also should have gave him trance walk and a summoner move, where he could send a nether realm bay at you.
its a weird thhing on depending on the angle/distance. Sometimes they can, sometimes they cant. Regardless though even if they do you win the trade big time. Nobody is outzoning someone else if they got sub-zero in the end
I feel like characters that have complicated learning curves are annoying to play against the AI but only difficult against top level players (that are good with any character)
omni man certainly easier, quan is not a very forgiving character. "Tier wise" though I think its too early to tell. Quan has overwhelming strengths but majorrrrr weaknesses.

His stand 4 actually combos into his sky drop and with tremor you get a full screen combo akin to the one Reiko gets

its a timing element, the actual combo-ok time after landing cage is very small. If you are slow you wont ever get the followup

If you're that far back for Forward 2,1, you only get the one hit. If you're closer, you get two.
yes, you only want the one hit, its zoning, not combos

If your opponent is very close, why would you use Down 4 instead of Down 3? Doesn't Down 3 give more damage? Can you compare the two? Cheers.
down 4 does more damage than down 3 across the cast

as mentioned in the video i think hes great with cyrax, he's one of the very few characters that can easily combo into net, and now net is much better

it is blockable, just its very strict and hard to do

I wouldn’t say complicated just that his kit is underwhelming and expensive compared to other characters on the roster.

MK is the last game I still play on pad. Everything I play on leverless.

I use a leverless, for mk, i'd suggest placing a blockbutton where your right thumb is (analogue to the up-button for your left hand)
