I solo play MB with a party of 4, like 4AD. I cannot imagine trying to keep a single Scvm alive past a single encounter. At least use 2. You are a crazy, brave RPer. So good.
With a portable lab and the lousy strength and presence, you are the NPC wandering potion salesman that features in so many dungeon crawls. It would be funny to have your character wander from universe to universe always showing up in a dungeon where there's somebody who may or may not want to buy potions from him. You could be like Dr. Whobörg.
Solid video Mr. Alone If I'm not mistaken, in Mork Borg enemies never "roll dice" so when you get attacked and roll for agility, you're trying to clear the DR, which you did when fighting that mercenary. But you treated it like the opponent rolled over the DR and hit you. Just pointing that out so in future combat you don't accidentally screw yourself over lol. I haven't played Mork Borg solo but after your previous videos about it I started reading through the material and preparing a game and I also agree that some parts of it feel very mechanical, and I feel like that mostly comes down to all the rolling involved with travel. Maybe, instead of rerolling your potions every day, you can just reroll to replace a used potion the day after you use it (this does let you hold on to potions for a while which might break the """balance"""). Excited for the next one!
you're right, and even though it ended up okay in this video, this mental shift could occasionally be fraught if I don't keep it straight. Good looking out!!
Hey, Man (Alone)! This was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed all of it-that's including the amuse-bouche of waffles. I want to highlight the end of the video where you are honest about your thoughts on the game while also sharing reflections and wisdom. Great stuff, I really appreciated this!
LessGOOOO! ^^ Great setup and intro! I pooped my pants a bit upon hearing music, since it has stopped me watching RPG gameplay many times. Royalty-free is often worse than having no music. Anyway, looking forward to see how you approach the game. :) I would definitely use the Unheroic Feats. Some are unbalanced, but that's the nature of the system.
I play Solitary Defilement and I still use crits and fumbles. If you have a nat 20 and a pass, you get a Crit. A fail and a nat 20 become a success. Nat 1s and a fail are fumbles. A nat 1 and a pass become a fail. A nat 1 and a nat 20 necome a weak hit.
After your brilliant Jungian exploration of ttrpg in recent vid, now you give us the nihilistic alchemist. CITE: "Let's roll to see what happens today. Nothing. Nothing happens." (Silence) Genius RP!
I'm gonna have to purchase Feretory. Thanks dude. I have Cy_borg as well bit haven't played from it yet. Would you be willing to do a Cy_borg how to video?
I did just see where in Forbidden Psalm core you can actually pick +3, +1, 0, -3 or +2, +2, -1, -2 for your ability scores and you start with 8 HP + Toughness. You also get an unfortunate random Flaw and a questionable Feat. The Milestones mechanic reminds me of the check you make in Ironsworn when you've completed your Vow to see IF you completed it successfully. Yes, strange to consider that you did all the scenes, but now need to know if they did the thing you vowed to do. However, I see that if you complete a Milestone you get to do all of "Getting Better" from page 33 in the Core which is a substantial character improvement, possibly to every ability (the first time) and more HP.
I'm really new to solo rpgs and I'm confused. If the solitary defilement supplement is supposed to adapt the game for a solo play, why are you having to also make all of these changes in order to make the game playable solo?

ALAS!!!
May all of our souls see through this godless darkness.
okay okay I guess you earned it

yeah I think at the very least I may do 1 scvm and a companion

lololol I was literally a typewriter salesman trying to battle the hordes of hell
The intro takes solo rpging into the realm of art. Great job

keep coming back to this vid bc your voice acting here is weirdly relaxing. really gotta get this game soon
That was one very spooky sinister GM voice intro. Loved it.😊
that's my real voice. the one I normally do on video is the fake one!!!
@@amanisalone 🤣 A man of many talents. 😊👍
Incredible voice acting in the beginning!
I like your style, self depricating and funny - sometimes maybe unintentionally :) - makes the videos very entertaining.
I don't really believe in the self so I don't mind deprecating it at all
Yessssss, Mörk Borg! Been looking forward to this one.
We'll do some more then!

always will give honestly, occasionally may (accidentally) give wisdom too
Loved the beginning. (the rest also :p, but especially the music thingy)
Cool video! Was drawing along while listening, and I did some fanart of Daeru that I posted up on Twitter!
Gonna check it! Also, prepping for my upcoming Solitary Depths playthrough as we speak! This is an INCREDIBLE supplement.
@@amanisalone Thank you for the kind words :D I hope it comes in handy!

I'm disappointed in you...why didn't you follow through with the pants pooping? a TRUE fan would complete what they started
@@amanisalone All done now, sir!
Yes! That intro was epic!!
alright alright I'll do it again every now and again!
please be nicer to goblins

imagine going through your whole life and your nickname ends up being "the goblin appreciator"
Man, that intro narration! 🤯 🔥
I would binge that podcast.
GAHDDDAMNNN The intro is INSANE!

Phenomenal game playing! I thought you did amazing stuff, in particular the mercenary vs. guards showdown. Keep it up!

Genius RP!
lol I should have just faded to black right then and there and ended the video
I really need that remedy for nightmares :D thanks for the playthrough!
I'm gonna have to purchase Feretory. Thanks dude. I have Cy_borg as well bit haven't played from it yet. Would you be willing to do a Cy_borg how to video?
Most of the parts of Feretory used in Solitary Defilement are available for free download at the main Mork Borg website.
Looking forward to PART DEUX!!
Great intro and video.

You're right, and the way you said this is so clarifying
M. A. Lone this was fking Great, what did you use for music? It made the atmosphere feel....RIGHT it was all perfect
I SCOURED the internet for royalty free music that fit the bill...and it can't just be royalty free, it has to be free to use commercially. Not easy.
Just found your channel. Love your content. Easy sub from me! More mork borg solo please
you could use weak hit with a match / strong hit with a match as extreme versions of weak / strong hit
Hi, thank you for your videos. Do you know how to get cool meeples for solo play like those yellow ones you have inside the coffin box? Thanks again?
i would also like to know, they're really cool
@Loitss @boarprince Etsy has them!
You make good voices, did you improv the monologues?
Do you happen to have any idea if and when they are doing a reprint of Solitary Defilement?
I think Max Moon periodically does a reprint, seems like every three months. He also rules so if you email you'll get a response
I just picked up a copy a few days ago from Max Moon

Nothing matters. Why do you bother?
I do it for the TIPS!!!! ♥
