Honestly the banter between you too had me laughing, I love it. A happy couple is one that can scrub a tank together 😂 Thanks for the tips on the scratched tanks as well 😁👍
Great upload. l have forwarded this video on as l know a few people's with scratches on their tanks, including me. I will certainly give this a go. Thanks, Mrs. stubbs ❤
The very first day that I filled my big tank, one of my kids managed to put an 8 inch scratch right in the middle with a broom handle. I've tried toothpaste, bicarb, and even cutting compound without success.
It works but you have to do a lot of rubbing to get them out, it looks like you guys got some of them out, nice job! I use to be an automotive detailer and used medium compound by hand to get most of the scratches out, you're not really getting the scratches out you are for the most part just smoothing off the jagged edges of them so they become less noticable, then I used fine compound with my orbital to further smooth the scratches out, when I was done 90% of the scratches were gone, the deepest ones were still visible but nowhere near as visible before I compounded them, like I said earlier it's a lot of work, my scratches were on the inside of the tank so to do it I had to remove the fish and drain the tank, not fun.
Hi there and thanks so much for watching and commenting. I don't think they would on acrylic.. I read something about baking soda once fully dissolved is good for cleaning but I don't think it would remove scratches more likely to add them
Great video Chris and Sandra really enjoyed it, I've gotta say that those scratches have definitely disappeared for the most part. Great little homemade hacks guys. Gotta love that squeaky clean sound lol. A video full of laughs and giggles, love the outtakes at the end. Definitely gonna use these on one of my tanks with some scratches. Thanks for sharing 😊
Hahaha...love the banter between you and Sandra! I remember seeing a similar video on YT about fixing a scratch on a car window. Great stuff buddy and always nice to get useful hacks...👊🍻
This was great! Really enjoyed the rapport between you two. May have to try a couple of these. For the vinegar and baking soda one, is there a particular ratio you're supposed to mix? Thanks for the tips and hope you both have a great weekend! 🙂👍
The scratch may be there but at least you know the aquarium won't get cavities.😂 Would be a lot of work but if the scratch is only on the front of the tank could you not turn the tank around so that the back becomes the front? 😕 As for the indoor pond maybe you should take your wife to see someone who has an indoor pond with some really nice koi...hint, hint.🤣🤣🤣
If they are in the inside I would recommend draining it. You can use the same method but it's going to take you a long time. There are other methods but they involve chemicals and if you have a buffer Thanks so much for watching and commenting

Thanks so much for all the info . I will be going back and working further on the scratches... I appreciate your input
No matter what you use it takes some time to remove them, I remember my hands hurting the next day from all the rubbing to get them out
Awesome hack, does it work for acrylic tanks?

They say equal amounts but make it a paste
@@stubbsaquatics6080 Thanks!
Great video, the tank looks a lot better.
Thanks pal
Your interaction with Sandra is epic! What about baking soda and vinegar aplied with a toothbrush? 🙂👍

Hahaha. I am trying to get a puddle not a lake... Hope to go about 2-2.5 ft high and maybe 6x4..
I'm going to try this!
Nice 👌
I will give a try
Thanks buddy
These hacks are somewhat similar to the car ones, if it takes it down a little it's worth a go, I mean we've all go toothpaste at home... Probably lol
Haha I hope so🪥🦷.. When we going to see another one of your amazing vids
Lol, I'll get something up soon, I've been taking a wee break and trying to get some of my jobs done.
Very good!
Thanks Donald
Thanks! 😂 together time! Yay
Thanks Sara. 👍😁
What if the scratches are on the other side?
If they are in the inside I would recommend draining it. You can use the same method but it's going to take you a long time. There are other methods but they involve chemicals and if you have a buffer
Thanks so much for watching and commenting
Nothing says love like cleaning
Lol you know it
Bardzo fajna rzecz :) Pozdrawiam przyjacielu
Thanks so much 👍
Which is why I never use the worthless magnet cleaner s ever!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I wished I was more careful that is for sure. I am leaning towards your way of thinking
What if the scratches r inside surface..
@@aarunisankhalkar1707 you can do the same but unfortunately you need to drain the tank.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Best of luck
