I have watched tons of videos about how to clean calcium and how to restore a glass and this is the most professional video I have seen. I toke a chance an I called Pedro to Miami from California on a Sunday thinking He wouldn't answer my phone call. And surprised! He did and He responded all of my questions in a very professional way! Thank you so much for your valuable time. Greetings from California!
Excellent work, Pedro, but I worry for your health. The glass dust is carcincogenic, please use a suitable mask. Although you can't see the dust in this video, if you set up a light you'll see massive clouds of it as it flies off the glass into your face. Again, your work is great, but protect yourself.
In eyes of gfmcc everything is carcinogenic, air he breaths, water he drinks, food he eats, That will save him from cancer and he will die from stroke, as other healthy people.
These guys are amazing, don’t be afraid to give them a call if you have any questions. They will go out of their way to help you. Very happy with experience!
This insight helped a lot, my current method is about to get a boost in results ! Much respect and thank you for taking the time to chat with me , much respect from Trinidad in 2022 ! 💯👊
Nice work Pedro! Just wondering where you get your medium, fine, polish and backing supplies from, also what is the model of the drill your using? Thanks man. Leo from Canada
Thank you Pedro for providing RUclips with this very professional video. I wish you were located in the Los Angeles area! I know you travel, but the cost of travel is not practical for little jobs like shower doors or windshields. Just saying.
Unfortunately it's not a how to video. It's a "this is what we do and we're not giving up our trade secrets for nothing, give us a call and we'll do it for a price" video.
Hello Pedro. I am reaching out from a different country in Europe. Here we do not have any possibility to bring the glass to a service or even ask a crew to come in and fix window scratches. Pretty messed up. I had a cleaning crew come after the renovation and they ruined every single window in my apt. I am trying to order products on amazon to have them shipped and I will have to DIY myself. Can you share the product links or at least the grades of the disks you used? Thanks it would be a lifesaver
Highly interested too! I work with Mirka tehcnologies, and stuff, but these pads are new for me. Could you please name the company, or a manufacturer of the pads? I won’t bother your earnings in Miami hahah!
Great work and results, but very worried for you Pedro, without some sort of mask you are almost certain to develop Silicosis if you do this with any regularity as you have demonstrated.
Thank you for your comment. We are conscious of the hazards of working with glass in this aspect. Solely and only for the ease of communicating to our audience in this case did I work without my mask on. It is of the utmost importance to be compliant with all PPE standards in your industry. Any time we work doing these types of repairs our staff is required to wear the appropriate respiratory protection. Again - Thank you for your concern and let us know if you have any other questions about what we do.
Pedro that was a very informative video. It is fantastic to see how one can properly restore something without needing to go and purchase a brand new item. Is the process that like with auto body restorations? Start with a 100 - 300 grit and then work your way up to a 1500 grit? Awesome video Thank you!
Xienfrostborne, Thanks for watching!! Yes it is similar to auto restoration. The difference is the pads we use are made specifically for glass. Long lasting and don't further damage the glass. Thank you for watching!!
That’s professional work right there..!! Consider me impressed. Any tips on the best method (s) to remove hard water/mineral deposits from shower doors? I need to install a whole house water softener at some point but I also need to restore the glass. Again, great video..!
I saw a video where they use cutting coumpound, with hand cleaner that has pumice in it.And it works great for removing scratches. The deep ones is another story.
Can I polish an older porcelein sink with the ceramide compound get rid of scratches in the porcelein and give it a smoother surface? where do you buy your products? thanks
I have a 2006 Old Crown Vic that it appears the wipers wasn't changed early enough and/or was used in a dry sweep across the windshield too many times, is there someone in NORTH Central Florida that can do this?
Hi I’m in the Uk , patio doors all fine scratches , love to know what compound to use , and grades of pads in order of use . Speed settings ? Thanks so much Neil
Hi Pedro, Maybe a question that comes back over and over again ... What about glasses ? Which are not made of glass but plastic. Does this final polish would do with my dremel and the fabric fiber head ? Thanks in advance Daniel
Daniel Beaufils this compound will not work on plastic. You need a different type specifically for the material your glasses are made of. Also you have to slow the rpm down and use water at the same time to not melt or burn the material.
I dont have deep scratches on my sliding glass door. I made the mistake of using a pumice to remove spots of water stains on my rental's bathroom sliding glass door :( Now I have to fix it and there are no companies that do this service! Since I cant put my mail on the scratches, would I be ok just using Cerium oxide and polish pad with my drill? Any help would be appreciated.
hey there are so many grits of cerium oxide, 2.5 seems to be what s in kits, but you can find down to 0.2 microns, what would you recommend to get normal clarity in the glass. Also have heard some use diamond powder it can also be found in 0.1micron grit but id imagine its a bit hard for glass.
I know exactly why they don't. Looking up into the light reveals the flaws in the repair. They don't want you to see this. Almost every scratch removal video only shows a flash of the "after" for a couple of seconds. Most repairs are left with swirls/haze/distortion
Hi Pedro, my me scratches a double pane glass by Andersen, a bit thin glass around 3mm and some scratches can be felt with the tip of my nail. Problem is no technical support from the Andersen Philippine distributor which I really hate because they are selling it here and no idea at all on how to trouble shoot. I really wish you have a country branch here and save many from spending including me because it's my liability as a contractor of the canopy and my men did damaged the glass panel. Can you email me the paticular grits of the sanding discs?. I have the cerium already.thanks
I'm talking about my men who did the damage. My email triassic_jeck@tahoo.com If you happen to planning to visit our country, please email me your schedule and I hope we can make have something to solve the problem. Thanks
You are not using a drill, its an angle grinder with a rubber polishing pad accessory, and you stick a grit pad on it. Probably some glass abrasive grit. Not hard to find out. I have to polish some old mirrors in CA. Cannot hire you guys for that. Would have been helpful to know what pads you used. I also have water spots. You will find that the more technical you make it and more you share those 'secrets', the more popular you will get on RUclips and more business will fall your way. Most people don't want to do the work or don't own the tools.
@@VividClearGlass I noticed you dont answer the questions people are asking about the pads and materials you use. When people ask you questions its in your best interest to answer the public as we will be the ones that help you get ahead or break your strides! I think i speak for most when I ask you yet again, what supplier do you use for your pads, what is you average RPM to grind and then polish, and what is the model of the polisher you are using in this video. Thanks again in advance.

How about some explanation about the pad you used.
