Thanks so much Tanya. I am actually surprised that others don't ask if there was a smell. The plants help so much... I get a few knats especially around my strawberries.. but their numbers are low... If they go in the water they are done for lol

The pineapples do well in direct sunlight. They like the heat .not so much the moisture.. really dry sandy acidic soil.. I watched a lady in Florida who grows a lot in pots. Fun sun and lots of heat. Mine will go back out in the summer

@ Yeah, but pineapples don’t grow out here in SoCal. That’s a whole project. Florida has more of a tropical climate. I think growers in San Diego may have a better chance than us.

I do have driftwood in most of my planted tanks and yes it is either standing up like a stump or totally submerged. In this case I used cedar fence rail . It will float longer but will eventually sink. I have styrofoam noodles underneath these so they won't sink. I wanted to grow plants coming out of the driftwood that would grow out of the water. I think it gives it a different look I am happy you like it . Thanks again for watching and your kindness

Hi Peter Thanks for watching The sponge filters are about 5 bucks each. The polishing filter is about 100 cdn dollars but I bought it used for 50. .
