Im jealous for all the new people discovering Joey for the first time. These videos remind me of when he was converting the garage. Keep inspiring the future 💚 plant & fishkeepers my man!
Keep up all the hard work Joey! Everything's looking great! I personally think you should always show the process because this hobby is not always beautiful. It's a lot of hard work and people need to see it!
I know that you have years of videos put there but I appreciate when you quickly go over something that you have previously covered. Let's be realistic, it can be hard to find certain things trying to sort through hundreds of videos. This build process allows you to cover those items with a little update. I appreciate it. Thanks
Love watching your videos and I share several with my wife who has been an Aquarists for 13 years. There have been a couple things you've shared that has opened other options for her in her care of all the animals at her job.
Regular viewer. Looking forward to the new gallery. But Joey, you need a mic that clips on your shirt or something man. The audio goes from super loud when your near the camera to barely even hear-able when you step away. Just my 2 cents.
Thank you sooo much, I buy all my tanks second hand very cheap so most of them are practically white with water stains. this will save me literal HOURS
I learnt this from u ages ago. I always keep a container(or more) of it in my fish area and around the house for hard water stains too. its brilliant. Not hype at all.
I love seeing it all!! Even though I’ve followed for many, many years, have seen the many stand build videos, etc.and own your book, etc., etc., I still love seeing the whole process! I’m guessing I’m not the only long term person who is so enjoying watching the new vision and all the energy and excitement that is coming with this!! It’s awesome, Joey!! Keep on keeping on!!! Upward and onward!!! 😃😃😃👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Been beating myself up for 2 days trying to restore a very heavily mineral stained tank (my water was over 300gh) that sat in storage for 15 years. Vinegar, razor blade, very little change. Was ready to mix up some oxalic acid when I saw this video. I use bar keeper's friend all the time at home, but never read the label or considered it on glass. I applied a TON with vinegar and left on for 30 minutes. Looks amazing wet, imperfect dry but who cares? Thanks for sharing - my spouse needed to see just how simple setting up a QT rack is too ;)
The process is why i started watching... i started watching ur videos about 10 years ago. U were the first youtuber i ever subscribed to and the main reason i DL the app
I love these kind of videos!! Please keep making them bc you teach us stuff like why to space the bottom tanks for maintenance etc. Then things just update since the old videos. Also things you WISH you HAD done in old videos. Thanks and keep them coming!
I cant talk for everyone, but personally I want to see each and every step. I'm looking to turn my spare bedroom into my fish room. Loving all the videos ❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧
Liking the calm teacher mode, lol. And I think most folks will like these set-up style vids. Good info regarding basic points with added tips and personal notes.
Just remembered as you're using an acid and your water at home was basic (hard ) the actual water you were putting into the aquarium will neutralize the acid in the cleaner to a certain degree . Now you're using soft water and will have no hardness to rely on diluting the acid in the cleaner so I would make sure those tanks are well rinsed before you add fish . Love the videos can't wait to see everything up and running
After a fill up the dilution should take care of it. I'm sure he tests the pH before he puts fish in. I used bar keepers friend on some tanks I got from a breeder who never cleaned his tanks in years. Used a few as refugiums with no problems or hiccups.
Been watching your videos since 2018 and so far ive learned lots of things from you. Very excited as well for this new place for your fishes.. More blessings! You deserve it! 💪👍
Love how you're getting better at ending the video's and promoting your brand. Keep making the videos you want and I'm sure the viewers will still be interested in all the uploads
Man I love watching your videos. Even if it’s something small there is so much info out there I always seem to learn something new. keep up the great work. It’s phenomenal what you are doing and it’s not going unnoticed. Thank you.
Thanks for this info, I’ve just ordered some via eBay. This is the type of tried and tested knowledge and info that sets you apart from the others, you and your family deserve every success, all the best 👍
Man! Did I EVER NEED This Video!!! Thanks Joey! You are So Damn Efficient and No Wasted Motion (…and I’m Not Talkin’ Bout the Video Edits!)!! Also, Wise Lifetime Advice with “…Steady Progress is The Goal, Get Something Done That’s a Measureable Step Forward Every Day…‼️ 🎯🙏 👏👏👏
I love your videos, I'm purchasing a house soon and want to make the basement a fish Room. Your videos have given me so many ideas. Plus I never new how a sponge filter worked. Thank you!
A small suggestion for that room, use a manifold of 3/4 or 1 inch sched 40 pvc pipe attached to the wall with stand off hangers, cap the ends ( glue optional), then drill holes to tightly insert hose with valve into for each sponge filter you want to run and the air pump. I am running 12 sponge filters off a manifold for five 50 gal tanks with 2 air pumps rated for a 20 gal and 10 gal. It will look neater and the pump won't have to work as hard to supply the air, use less hose to each filter to help air flow.
It's nice to see the old diy aquarium teacher in you come out again in this video. Great info, im resealing and cleaning an old hexagonal column tank and this is perfect to help me.
Bro, so glad to see and hear the excitement back in your voice and videos. Your happiness is showing your love for the hobby and sharing with us. Love the channel, keep it going man, very valuable info and products.
I'm telling you you are the best for the 411 on the barkeep I tried so many times to get that hard water stuff out of my tank oh my God and you just solve the problem thank you for that awesome love the video .in my next life my fish tank will be out of this world
Always loved your process videos and the build stuff, even if i never build it you learn something in the way it works so you just dont get somethikng because someone said so you get it because you understand what its doing to the aquarium
After years of not having aquariums im getting back into the hobby with my 45 gallon corner tank from facebook marketplace in the back of my truck, coming back to watch joeys videos is making me super hyped lol
I recently bought a tank that has major hard water lines along the top. I've tried everything known to man to get it off hasn't made a dent. I will try this barkeepers friend. I hope it work because my tank looks so ugly right now. Luckily it's drained and I'm in the process of re sealing it so I can scrub it down really well.
Joey you make some awesome content keep up the good work. I didn't know about fish keeping until I came across one of your videos a few years ago I went from a 20 gallon tank to a 75 and a 110 after 4 years of watching your videos.
Thanks for all of this information, since i got into this hobbie i took you as my friend and ever since i watch all of your videos and i appreciate every little information i learnt from you With love from israel Hope you're enjoying you're coffe and have pretty morning 😁
I need to get some of that stuff. My pH out of the tap is 8.0 - 8.2. Very hard water. My quarantine tanks don't have substrate, but I painted the bottom so the fish can't see below them. Not sure if it makes them feel more at ease or not, but I thought it might.
Personally for me when cleaning glass, windows, acrylic, I use a splash of dawn dish soap in warm water, hot if it’s really dirty, and then a squeegee, and a clean dry cloth to dry the edge of the squeegee between swipes. It’s quick and easy, and streak free.
I notice that you dont put ply wood and a dampner under your tank. Ply wood to support your tanks bottom from fracture and dampner for shock absorbsion and self leveling attribrutes (1/2" foam). there is a lot of weight when it comes to water. Just a thought, that is what I do, but hey each to their own. Cheers and well done.
i love the build process, absolutely love these videos, would love to also see a more complete, or less cut if you want, version of the setups of the aquariums(scaping), maybe stream it? and also make a cut video ? just a wish
The thing about sponge or bubble filters that I'm not a fan of, is that the longer you keep them running, the faster that the ph of the water will drop. As you introduce more oxygen into the system, it'll also introduce co2. The more co2 that gets dissolved into water, the more acidic the water will become. Fun fact, water can absorb co2 faster than any plant out there. Ever leave a glass of water out on the counter and a few hours later it takes nasty? cause it absorbed co2 from the air making the water more acidic. nothing about it being room temperature. If you leave water bottled up on the counter, in the same amount of time, you'll taste a noticeable difference than the glass. I know people say not to chase ph and what not, but i feel uncomfortable leaving my water sub 5.5 ph. Sure i could add shells and real rocks and whatnot to counteract the increase of ph but still. My aquarium is already filled with plants enough for 3 of my fishes.
you should remaster a few of your old videos the videos that had some big hits
I agree with this statement
I second that , that would be amazing
@@passenger3 I third that!
Like step three in the canopy stand vids!! Please!
You totally should!
Im jealous for all the new people discovering Joey for the first time. These videos remind me of when he was converting the garage. Keep inspiring the future 💚 plant & fishkeepers my man!
Joey, you're such a hard worker man. Good for you. You deserve the success, dude.
Don't ever stop making the build process videos, these types of videos are my favourite ones. You are doing an amazing job. 👌
Mine too
"...the water is hard enough to walk on..." BIG LOL (genuine LOL)
I literally laughed too
You should look into building a living wall in the main gallery??? That would be awesome or indoor waterfall...lol if you really wanted to go nuts??
Keep up all the hard work Joey! Everything's looking great! I personally think you should always show the process because this hobby is not always beautiful. It's a lot of hard work and people need to see it!

This stuff is amazing and works as advertised! Used it tonight on a 20 year old 20g long and it looks like new. Thanks for sharing!
Love watching your videos and I share several with my wife who has been an Aquarists for 13 years. There have been a couple things you've shared that has opened other options for her in her care of all the animals at her job.
Bar Keepers Friend works great for cleaning glass stoves too.
Regular viewer. Looking forward to the new gallery. But Joey, you need a mic that clips on your shirt or something man. The audio goes from super loud when your near the camera to barely even hear-able when you step away. Just my 2 cents.
You are so right
Yes. Have no idea what he cleaned his tank with.
@@peacefrog64 Bar Keepers Friend,
Agreed. A lavalier would work wonders and can be rigged straight into the dslr. I've been meaning to say it for a while but kept forgetting
Thank you sooo much, I buy all my tanks second hand very cheap so most of them are practically white with water stains. this will save me literal HOURS
I love watching the build out Joey.
You said it best! Teaching! Yes, you are teaching the next generation of fish keepers.
Well done Joey! Keep it going!
I learnt this from u ages ago. I always keep a container(or more) of it in my fish area and around the house for hard water stains too. its brilliant. Not hype at all.
Happy Father's Day Joey.. you're truly an inspiration to us all
I love these kinds of videos! Watching tanks get setup is my favorite because there’s an unlimited amount of ways to do it
Pleased to see you going back to your roots. I enjoy this type of video. Looking forward to your next mission in your new gallery.

I remember video you did about this years ago. Your right bar keepers friend works the best.
Very useful information iced everything to get rid of hard water stains
Dude love the updates no matter how big or small they are, shows the progress and how closer you are to getting the gallery open
Made it in 12 minutes....PHENOMENAL!

Dude, this is the content thst I watch you for because I'm poor and I wanna be more of a DIY aquarist!!❤
Barkeeper's friend is a miracle. Also fantastic for kitchen pots and enameled cast iron
Fired Up Progress!!! I do the same with my quarantine/grow out tank.
I like the build process
Perfect video, exactly what I needed as I’m just about to clean out a old second hand 75 gallon
Thank you letting me watch how you do this I for one am excited to watch and see this all come together

Sponge filters are the best. Cheap, easy, reliable and practical. I’d recommend them to new fish keepers getting into the hobby.
Liking the calm teacher mode, lol. And I think most folks will like these set-up style vids. Good info regarding basic points with added tips and personal notes.

Joey, Please keep this going, it keeps my excitement and passion in this hobby.
I do it with the tile cleaner . It’s kind of acidic so i keep it sliding on the silicone. It does the job in 30 secs .
I like watching things progress.
I appreciate everything you do with the videos I learned so much from you thank you again.
I love your videos, I'm purchasing a house soon and want to make the basement a fish Room. Your videos have given me so many ideas. Plus I never new how a sponge filter worked. Thank you!

Thank a lot from Québec. I was going to give up, but i'll try Bar Keeper's Friend and come back to you. 👍
Great always used this technique actually got 12 tanks today that must be cleaned

Yes we want to see this kind of video.
Thank you for making them so interesting.
Great video. Just in time for me to clean my aquarium since I'm resetting up my aquarium around the house.
Joey is 8 inches floor to bottom of the tank really good enough for gravity vacuum or draining. And yes we want to see the build process
I use it on my glass shower in AZ. Have for years. Works great and most don't know what it is.
The progress is great and all videos so far have been brilliant in my opinion wishing u all the success u deserve joey

I use Mr. Cleans magic eraser. You don't need chemicals or empty out the tank completely
Im breaking down a 5g fluval spec v that got over run with bladder snails, this will be very handy thank you
Man, I’m super excited for you and you making this dream of your come true!
Great video!!!!
Expanding our farm as I type.
Your videos have always been so useful!
Keep chasing them dream !!!!!!
Hope you make a video getting done those quarantine tanks fully ready! I have no idea how to!
With the 3d background your quarantine tanks are nicer than my regular ones :)
Thank you keeping the content relatable.
I love the building process. It gives me great ideas

Cool backgrounds in the tanks I like that :) I will have to look for those
This is great! Love videos that actually help and isn't a bunch of fluff
Brilliant! Thanks, found some in the UK.
Awesome man! Im enjoying the building process, I can’t wait until it’s finished.
That cleaning gives a next level satisfaction joey great video
Loved it
Love from india!!
I'm a simple man.I see DIY King upload a new video.I click the like button.Happy father's day bro!Hope you have a good one!

This was a great video. Very helpful for my tanks.
Joey without check valves water might drain out to the lower tanks. Just a thought with only 1 gang valve allowing backflow its easiest way out
i love the build process, absolutely love these videos, would love to also see a more complete, or less cut if you want, version of the setups of the aquariums(scaping), maybe stream it? and also make a cut video ? just a wish
Another great video Joey👍🏻
