Now after so many years I randomly found Meg Myers a couple of years ago, started listening to her and thought: "wow, I have changed my taste on music over the year's!!" And now I see this and I have to check 3 times that I'm seeing properly!!

Meg Myers has one of the best sounds in the industry: she somehow captures all the dirt, grime, and pain of 90s grunge with the clearest voice and production know-how. What a great choice I did not see coming. Two of the best in the adjacent genres teaming up. Amazing.
That’s pretty insulting to use the term top 40 chops. Meg is known for her raw vocals, something top 40 music lacks. There’s a reason most top 40s are pop music and R&B. Most of those artist don’t write their own music, use excessive auto tune and lip sync at shows. Rise against never had a top 40 song. Real musicians would rather have control over their creations rather than be a creation of the producers. That’s why Meg left her label.

Years ago I saw Meg open for RA, liked her but never heard her again. Her voice triggered some subtle memory and made me look it up to confirm and it's like I'm back to that first set. So glad to see a collab, and possibly one of the best possible renditions as a result.
