GERD and LPR are the worst problems a person can have. They stop you from feeling good and relax. So, I am gonna try this from now on and see what it does to my acid reflux. Wish me luck ❤
Have you started? How's the result
Hello this is your accountabilibuddy checking in
Active Manuka honey helps 1 teaspoon a day
@@freedomvortex6874 Thank you but I think I cant get Manuka honet where I live. Does the normal honey give some benefit?
There are worse problems???
This works for LPR. I have suffered with this years. Main symptoms clogged up throat and coughing, coughing and more coughing. Started these exercises about 1.5 weeks ago. The difference is amazing, gone from coughing on and off all day every day, to just hardly at all. This worked almost straight away. I do 10 of each exercise when I wake up in my bed each morning.
did you feel acidic in your mouth as well? I fell clogged up throat and I dont know which exercise to do
No I don't experience acid in the mouth but we're all different
Bro i need your help .
Will you help me ?
because i also have same symptoms like you
I can only say follow the exercises. It should help
Thank you so much!
This is great ! Not a lot of repetitive talk, got to the exercise quickly and didn’t try to get you to buy anything. Thank you for helping us that are suffering and looking to correct the problem.
You are correct! 👍🏻👌🏻
Exactly!!!!!
I get what so called LPR, psychosomatic, dr said. I got anti depressant for almost 1 year. It might 60% help. With this practice, almost all remedy are gone.. .., and I'm getting better. I do it twice a day, morning and night for ½ hours each, and I'm still monitoring the progress..... thanks Mitchell for sharing this valuable video. God bless...
Would you be able to provide an update on your recovery? I suffer from LPR too. Thanks in advance.
I have LPR too. My worst problem is throat tightening/ closing because of which swallowing is difficult. It gives me major anxiety. Do you suffer from throat issues too?
Hi ....r u continuing this. ...did it work for u. Pl reply
Do you have a hiatal hernia?
Can I ask which antidepressant helped a bit?
Thank you so much. Its defiantly worth a try.
This looks like a great idea but it would be helpful if the explanations could go alongside the actions at the same time. It’s not easy to see when you are breathing in and out!
Yeah - would be good if we could see your exhale
Thanks for posting this it is helping me.
OMG!! I’m so glad I bumped on to this video while I was looking for a remedy for my problem. I was on the brink of depression due to this nasty smell that was coming out of my gut and out my nose. Had no idea how I was gonna go back to work. I tried this exercise and and the smell was gone the same day and it hasn’t returned. I’ll keep doing it and eat small meals. Thank you stranger!!
I have the same good experience Ben....
I thought i was the only one
Have the results lasted??

After 2 years i got to know i m suffering from Acidic reflux ...i have symptoms like clogged throat that is too much mucus overflows after eating food,... burning stomach and heart, difficulty swallowing...i have been showing ENT doctors since one year and they prescribed me to show psychologist as they cannot figure out my concern....but today finnally i got to know through my intuition and self research...may u all get well sooner
Same condition Bro, Howz your health now.
Share some of your experiences that can help me to come out from it.
Same things bros i feel you, what the conventional medicine cant fix they call that anxiety like a excuse for not having a real solution, they recomand only ppi and antiacids medicine for pharmacy industry , and after years and years you just starting to have problems with bones, skin, minerals and vitamins absorption and at the end cancer on stomach, small intestine or bowel ..fk that .I really belive it exist a real solution to treat the cause permanently not to cover the symptoms and to make the problem worst. Do you have hiatal hernia? Can we traine wit hernia?
I a also dealing every month since more then 20 yrs.

I smoked heavy for 15 years straight, knowing it was giving me stomach pain. I finally quit Yesterday. I sure hope my LES isn't permanently damaged. I am getting sleepless nights from gerd, and am dealing with so much pain. Quite amazing how easy it is to screw up. Hopefully this works.
How’s it going?
I’m definitely gonna try this every morning and night
Thank you so much ✨🙏💖
Hi, could you do this exercise while standing up to the same effect?
I need to rewatch this every time 😉👌
This is great. I developed reflux after my terrible diet, sleep schedule, drinking, and stress in college. Doctor just said take omeprazole. Wasn't even overweight. I know that you shouldn't take that medication for an extended period of time, but it was the only thing that worked.
Taking that now for the past few months. Gotta stop asap though cuz it can lead to cancer cells. How did you taper off omeprazole?
@@saadimadina1337 I did a liquid diet for a week before hand and then added in easy to digest foods. Completely cut out alcohol. I just stopped taking the pill all at once. There was a rebound of acid, but it went away after about 10 days or so. I just made sure to eat when I felt like there was too much acid, so it had something to digest. I've noticed now that even if I do overeat, the food no longer comes back up. Forgot to add that I did take pepsid for that time
@@Propane_Acccessories got it. Thanks - do you think doing the surgery to help with that muscle is doing too much or try the exercise route ? Heard taking PPI for a while is no good - ever tried h2 blockers such as Zantac ?
What do you do now for the gerd? Do the exercises help you? I was also prescribed omeprazole and I'm worried about having to depend on it.. I cannot live that way, if there's any exercises or tips you can give us here in the comments, please do..
Maybe chamomile tea can help. It helps me calm down before sleep and minimizes the reflux when it happens arou d 2am earlt morning. Also my gerd triggers fast palpitations I wake up scared and stand up to go and drink hot water. Almost instantly my gerd subsides and so does the palpitations. From 125bpm it goes back down to 80bpm.
Thank you !!!!
Thank you
I discovered that my heartburn is caused by bad posture. Slumped over my computer desk 7 hours a day. Putting a pillow in the small of my back forces a better posture and hey presto - no more heartburn! Who would have guessed! But I will try the exercises as well.
Do you sit with better posture at your desk now? Since quarantine has started, but ive been sitting in one spot for many hours a day due to school (I try to do 2 hr of exercise/walking most days a week tho), and my acid reflux has gotten worse and has been recurring. before quarantine i was used to walking everywhere on my campus, and even tho i had gotten acid reflux once before, it mitigated. Im guessing stress of quarantine has affected the way I breathe as well.
Hi..did this excercise work out..plz
@@LanNguyen-iu3oe Yes, I make sure my chair is pushed right in and the back is up straight. You should try to get up from your desk at regular intervals, but I am also guilty of forgetting if I get busy.

@@randomchubbygirl tried the exercises for a fortnight. Seen no difference from basic stretching and yoga.
I started taking PPIs for mild reflux as per my GP. Symptoms got worse after a month or so and i found i was in alot of discomfort of i skipped a PPI.
On speaking to a helpful chemist and checking online support groups, i found my body had become accustomed to the PPIs and was over producing stomach acid around the set times i would take the medication (morning and evenings).
We're made made differently but I'd suggest experimenting if what you're doing right now isn't working (I'll never blindly trust a doctor again).
Keep well
If you have breathing problems related to gerd or severe chronic acid reflux I highly recodmend doing this exercise for it. At first I thought it was bs but after having chronic reflux and breathing problems for almost 2 years now the first and last exercise I have comfirmed does help if you do it every day. however if you stop doing the exercises for days it stops helping. Its a temporary fix but a temporary fix is better than no fix especially when it comes to healthy exercise thanks Ashley your a babe ;)

In second exercise can you please describe when to inhale and exhale. Because in video it is not clear
I have the same doubt @priyanka chaudhary did you figure out out
You can always strengthen the core if you have a hernia
I’m in love😂
Thank you, I will try these as it is suspected that I have gastroparesis. I'll see how I do ~
How many times should you do this in a day
Does This is really work
I have had heartburn for years after I had stopped playing sports. If you do not think of your core, you're going to get heartburn, even with any fat or acid at all and you need a certain amount of that. A piece of toast with minimal butter or becel on it should not aggravate the heartburn process. This is when I decided to figure out what I'm doing wrong. If you do these simple techniques as she is doing in this video every morning and every night, any stress during the day, ( as things can happen) won't start it unexpectedly and if it does, it won't last long. Good video and thanks for posting something so simple and good for you that can be done with minimal time.

Push out the lower abdomen while breathing in? She should say it.
Any body can explain in this word i couldnt understand it?
how is second exercise acheived do i tense my stomach
noman khan No, the second exercise is to strengthen the upper esophageal valve. You can leave your stomach relaxed.
Neck should be taken up after inhaling or exhaling ?
Shouldn’t we be exhaling and tending and inhaling and letting it go? Almost impossible to do the reverse
When do you tense your stomach, up or down?
Can it help achalasia cardia?
How would I know if the smell goes away? no one tells anything when if I were to ask
My whole diaphragm is tense. I can't breathe deeply. And I feel this breathing in and belly out between my shoulder blades. Everything is connected. Thsnk you. Will try this and see. 🤗
If you feel the breathing between your shoulders and can't breathe with your belly then you have a hiatal hernia. It's a structural problem that only a doctor can fix.
@@irenevdlinden I don't have a hiatal hernia.
But the diaphragm is fixed around the whole ribcage. The fascia tissue is glued together. I got acupuncture and cupping on my back. The whole day no mucus and almost no burning. Will also get chinese herbs. Hiatal hernia can be fixed with TCM as well.
Good health! 🤗
@@Ishana_Intuitivehe you feeling good i have same problem i feel uneasy after each meal no single immediate burp but a small burps sometimes i can't burp n i feel anxiety 😊
not sure if I get the 1st exercise - do you breath into the stomach, tense it for 10 seconds, then release and exhale?
In second exercise do we need to breathe out while going up and release while bringing our head back ?
These exercises seem like they might be aiming in the right direction. But I tweak them to feel what I’m trying to get. I wonder if yogic breathing exercises may be better?
pls reply
Is sphincter that prevents acid reflux same one that prevents air from coming into stomach?
I will try these and report back in two week’s time
In 2nd exercise should we exhale after the chin is up or do vice versa

can this be done after food and drink too
No, I would not recommend doing this after a meal. Wait at least two hours or do it in the morning before breakfast.
Diet plus this exercises can go a long way
So wait, for the first one, take a big breath in and hold it while flexing your abs or breathe out and then flex the abs?

Exactly, I am also confused and have the same questions.
Yes while You inhale and push out your stomac hold 10 seconds and then breath
No. First, you inhale, drawing the belly inward, then hold your breath and tense your stomach muscles for ten seconds. Then as you exhale, you expand your belly, holding it in that expanded position for five seconds. To repeat the exercise, you inhale while you draw your belly back in again.
@@carolina4643 i push my stomach out as i inhale, hold it and then pull my stomach in toward my spine as i exhale. That is what works for me.

Hi....did u get results...plz reply plz reply
@@priyadayanandan9091 LOL somebody is itching to know.
I cannot figure out what she wants us to do. Tense your stomach means what...do i extend my stomach for 10 counts or deflate it for 10 counts? Cant figure out the breathing instructions for 2nd exercise either.
So the 2 nd exercise, when you Tuck your chin, do you inhale orang exhale
My take on this: you inhale while lying relaxed on the floor or bed, hands open facing the ceiling and you exhale when you lift your head, tuck the chin in and look at your stomach. In the past I have been told to always exhale while doing the effort (here lifting the head) so you are not all tense while doing the hard part of the exercise. I hope this helps!
As much as I would like this to work. How would stretching it strengthen it?
If anything it would loosen it, or even create pressure to cause reflux.
I didn't understand the first exercise. Are you taking a deep breath while pushing the lower abdomen out?
I’m confused as to when you inhale/ exhale.
The first exercise ,do you tighten your stomach when you expand ,as well holding it in ? What time during that time do you relax muscles ? Is this good for if you have had acid reflux and it may be narrowed causing difficulty in swallowing ? Thank you
Did your endoscopy figured out narrowing of esophagus? I am also having difficulty swallowing food thatswhy I am asking ..Also having belching issues
From what I understand they get narrow from irritations/inflammation. So if you can fix ur gerd issues that should hopefully go away, im trying this for the first time. Hopefully it gets rid of the gerd asthma, lets see.

@@SwagMoney420 didn't really keep at it long enough
@@ojaswitiwari7710 mam apko 2nd exercise samjh aa gyi
What are we doing for the first exercise? Holding breath in while pushing out?
For the first exercise, count upto 10 or more while inhaling and count upto 5 while exhaling. For the second, inhale full while laying down, and raise the head and exhale counting upto 10 and looking at your stomach. Do each for 10 times in the morning and in the evening.
I have a question I have mild dysphagia and my SLP told me to do this exercise but it shows it's only to help the food residue from sticking near your pyriform sinuses? So is this is actually good for that too and does this exercise also help your UES?
How did you find out that your UES is weak and that the reason of dysphagia?
Actually I am asking because my endoscopy revealed weak LES and reason behind my dysphagia
My husband has dysphagia, he is 78. He has been doing these exercises each day for about 8 months I'd say. They definitely help. He used to get awful choking/coughing spasms about 85% of the time when eating his dinner. He would start off the meal ok then suddenly it would come on and he'd leave the table coughing sputtering and in pain. He sometimes experiences it now but fortunately quite rarely. He has to keep on with the exercise though, as one time he let it slip and the episodes returned.
Anybody with GERD try this long term? Im very curious on the results of this exercise!
When you tense your stomach, is the tension on the expa+sion or contraction? And when to breath in?
Breath in as your stomach expands.
Thanks for the info. Chi gong has interesting exercises as well. I'm not sorry to you are fantastic in that color...😂
