I’m sooo glad this kitchen had those cabinets because my parents kitchen has these kind of cabinets and I want to paint them and am afraid the paint won’t stick. Their cabinets are exactly like this! I can hardly wait!
Donated my 1980 to an amazing man. He remodeled inside everything its beautiful. Now a young single mother of 3 has a beautiful home for her family. Of course it was given to her ❤ ❤ it really does take so little to make a complete difference in a young families life!! So people should pay it forward ❤ ❤ God bless everyone!! So glad I found your channel... As a single mom of 2 kids with autism my dream is to buy cheap and fix up a place for my little family. Such inspiration. Thank you for sharing!
Hello there! I have 4 kiddos. Two have reached adulthood, and my youngest 2 (ages 3,5) both have Autism. I am looking for a mobile home as well. I could have more time with them without having to pay rent/mortgages payments. I wish you and your children well! 🙏🏽💖
Thank you for doing a renovation with just paint and affordable budget options. I’d like to spruce up my parents mobile home but don’t want to change it up or gut it. That would upset them. I enjoyed your ideas.
It’s nice your doing these remodels as there are so many looking for a reasonably priced home in Portland. A small family can definitely find a home in this house.
That kitchen is going to be awesome! I have a special place in my heart for single wides. I lived in one the first 8ish years of my life. Some of my fondest memories were in that little house.
I really love seeing the before and after. Can’t wait to see you guys work your magic! I’m glad you said you would hopefully be making more videos with summer coming up. I really enjoy seeing your finished homes, they always look so beautiful. I was thinking that it would be really cool to go back to previous homes you’ve done & maybe see who bought them & how they’ve decorated, etc., and what it’s meant for them to have the opportunity to purchase one of your homes. I love that you offer beautiful homes for people who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford their own home. People probably wouldn’t want to do that I guess, but it sure would be fun to see!
We’ve actually been into a few of our houses afterward and almost always the way people have decorated has been not good. Two of the houses are boardline hoarder houses again 😢 its actually kind of sad to see it afterward.
Living Hope Renovations Oh no....well, I guess it’s best to not look back then. Wow. You made those homes so beautiful, and put so much heart and soul into each one; not to mention hard work and money. That saddens me to think that someone wouldn’t take decent care of them.
If the countertops are in good condition, I think it could be beautiful with the right cabinet color! Kinda excited to see it with all the updates. Very cool little project! Hopefully it’s gonna be fun for and worth your effort!
Had a 1974 mobile- RE painted kitchen, 1st used a quality degreaser , then “ liquid sandpaper “ then painted with an interior/ exterior white porch n floor satin.
I’m planning on renovating a trailer home my parents purchased in my father’s stead. He started this summer but COVID hit our family hard and now the doctors advised him to not overwork himself since he is still recovering. I know absolutely NOTHING about renos but I am totally up to learning this winter in preparation for next year’s summer!
So I will need a nail gun for floor and wall repairs, a chop saw for cutting materials such as trims, and maybe a couple other things. I'm mainly looking to take out that terrible wood paneling and put either drywall or something up to paint and carpet down.
This is pretty dope! I've thought about remodeling a mobile home but just ended up buying a town house instead haha but watching you makes me want to do it on the side for fun!
You guys are in Portland!! Cool. I would LOVE to walkthru all your renos and see with my own eyes how gorgeous the finished renos look! I LOVE that kitchen with all those windows!! Yea..you lose cabinet space but there's nothing like having lots of light!! You guys do great work!! I could totally be happy living in any one of these beautiful mobile home flips of yours! Keep up the great work. New Portland sub here! 😉
Hi Jill! Thanks for the comment. We don’t have current projects, but we would love to meet you someday. Portland is a little crazy right now but we love it.
Trailers by us use to be $35,000; now they want $64,000 for those same single wide. So expensive to move out of parents homes with college debt and crappy pay.
Is it really 10,000 renovations? Thats look a lot of money to work.. you guyz are the best hope next video renovations and breakdown of cost... Thanks again for this cool video
Broan makes a 42" range hood. I had the same size in mine and was lucky enough to be able to replace mine from almond to black. Home depot can get them for you. plus, all the sheetrock in the house is what they call VOG- Vinyl on Gypsum. I redid a room in the same age home years ago and put in 1/2" sheetrock.... good luck on you renovation!
I've just recently found y'all and truly appreciate how considerate, realistic and hard working you are! Love your tips, especially about how to paint the original materials and I can't stand those mirrored shower doors either! I am very curious to know how to go at those ceilings and if you have ever rehabbed them with other materials? I'll go look through your vid list to see. Keep up the fabulous work and thank you for sharing your work here!
Um, perhaps you are unaware of "bridging paper". It is a non-woven smooth white material (kind of similar to the stuff they make shipping envelopes out of). You wallpaper over the grotty bits. It can cover gaps up to 1/4" wide and is designed to help paint adhere smoothly. It is reasonably priced and much, MUCH less labor than filling, patching, scraping, priming, and double-coating. Just slap up the paper and a coat of paint (with good paint, one coat will do). It will look like a beautifully finished drywall wall. A trip from a designer - I did basement remodels for years - used this stuff all the time for problematic cinderblock in the basement. Hope this helps!
You don't update the electric in the walls on these older mobilehomes? I would be afraid of fires. I would want it rewired and up to current building codes. A fire in a mobilehome is a really bad thing.
That would be a great thing to do! Unfortunately there are many things in these homes that need updating and we have to pick and choose what we can do. Great suggestions tho
Question....on some mobile homes shower backs up to furnace how in the world do you replace handle (stems) without removing furnace? And help would be great. Tk u

Hi Peter, we know our market pretty well. We went over on budget just a bit because we held it a couple months, but we sold it for $45k. 🎉🙌🏼 update is live today. Final is on Thursday.
So you are buying up housing meant for low income people, spending $10K to renovate, and then doubling the price. Basic shelter should not be a career for opportunists. Go play your flipping games with luxury homes. The wealthy can afford your grift.
Your ignorance of real estate and basic economics is only matched by your arrogance to think you know what you are talking about. Do you know what price I put on these houses? Do you know how much I put into the houses or made in profit? Tell me, what’s the median price for a home in Portland? What are the comparable houses going for in the neighborhoods I’m working in? Who are my prospective buyers? You don’t know. Because you are ignorant. Feel free to take your bad attitude and negativity somewhere else.
I bought a mobile home exactly similar just a bit smaller for 3,500. Slowly renovating as we speak. This video motivates me

Yes you can! But it may reveal a crack between wall drywall and ceiling. Maybe check before you pull it all out.

They depreciate, yes, but just like cars they can be flipped with enough TLC.
