Thanks for the video. For me thermal as a sight is not there yet, but once they manage to shrink the pixel size down to 3 or 4 micron, I'll be in the queue.
This is just the Mk1. There are two more models in the pipeline with the much higher resolution sensor, so I’d say wait until the shooting show next year 🫵👍
Well to be fair it does look a good bit of kit Dave hopefully you will be able to get some daytime footage while you have it. Doesn't sound like there are too many negatives with it.
What a brilliant bit of kit got every thing be interested in seeing how that’s goes long term recon I could make use of that 👍 good shooting David keep knocking em down
I’ve been waiting for your review to come out before I pull the trigger on this,great vid as normal only one question what would be the max range on rabbits as this would be my primary quarry,cheers for review again
Hello Simon , depends on what you are using chap. I set my 22 rimfire at 60 yards, but the 17 hmr is at 100, if on an air rifle, obviously it’s going to be closer if sub 12. It’s really your choice chap, and what you’re comfortable with 👍
G’Day mate, yes indeed it is, bit of a shame though that they have gone away from the widescreen format though 🤷🏼♂️ That’s something for our video call tomorrow to discuss I’m sure 👍
Ratting and close ish range rabbits, ideal. But I think I'll wait and see if they actually do produce a higher resolution version ?. What's it like weight wise Des ?.
One thing I’ve noticed about these types of product testing & review videos are hardly anybody mentions the current rrp of the unit in question, which I find extremely annoying as this is surely one of the main questions from potential customers.
Nice review of this one👍😁. Looks a good bit of kit and could definitely bag an extra rabbit or 2 with both spectrums.👍 Looking at the price of the new stellars, i should think there's a nice little gap in the market for dnt to make a dedicated thermal scope of say 384 x resolution sub 20mk, 12 micron etc for £1500 ish. Would sell well too.
Hello Stephen, I’ve just been on a video call to DNT this morning for an hour, and there will be two more thermal resolutions coming out in the next version, and a return to the 16x9 screen format 👍👍👍 British Shooting Show, don’t miss it 🫵🫵🫵😉
I'm trying not to buy one but I want one. How would this look for fox at 100 to 200 meters? I'm shooting 22-250, 22 mag and 22 break barrel. Rabits for me are 30 to 70 metres. Do the critters see or notice the night vision light at all ? Great video and review, thank you.
Jethrow has shot foxes well over 200 no problem with his, I’ve included some of his footage on previous videos chum 👍 Have a look through the last 12 or so
@predatorprotectionuk that's quite an impressive channel you have there. Looks like I've watched a few of your videos too, high time I subscribed ay. Thank you for your reply and it seems there's a lot I'll learn here.
Turn it on , on the scope. Turn on “discoverable “ on your phone, and search in your Bluetooth on the phone. It just worked for me. Ask any of the team I used to work with, I don’t do technology, I left that stuff to the “young spunkers “ as we called them. I’ll build the kit and fit it, you get the computer stuff working 👍 I had no trouble with the scope 🤷🏼♂️
I’m still waiting for my impact M4 to arrive to my gun dealers and still can’t make my mind up on the hikmicro alpex lrf or the DNT Thermnight, They both look good from what I’ve seen in footage has anyone tried both and could make my mind up for me 😂
Me personally….. From what I’ve seen and used, DNT THERMNIGHT. Ok, so it’s not 4k, But, these are my plus points. 1. You’ve got the thermal option available. 2. It’s got its own illumination 3. The ballistic reticle can be seen in the PiP when zoomed in. 4. It’s over half the weight and size. 5. It comes with its own 20 moa mount.
@@predatorprotectionuk Yeah you’ve just listed what I’m thinking it’s got allot of plus points compared to the hikmicro, I know I could probably buy the ir torch plus mounts for the hik with the money difference but I’m liking the compactness of the DNT plus thermal too, I’m sure the dnt claim it’s 4k or hd but I can’t be certain though.
@420Farmer7 it’s HD, although from what DNT told me today , there will be other models available probably early next year that will have better thermal imaging capabilities and widescreen day/night in HD.
@@predatorprotectionuk Yeah that’s typical I’m buying at the wrong time 😂, I’ve still got waiting time so fingers crossed something comes out soon from DNT
@@predatorprotectionuk Zulus definitely doesn't come with batteries or charger etc. I expect that was the store adding them as an incentive, like Ian blackwood will often include an led IR with the alpex at no extra cost for example.

Looking forward to the call and hopefully to help bringing clarity to the number of things that had raised interest in
They’ve already been in touch with me, 8 hours time difference does help sometimes 👍👍👍
Your lucky to have so many Rabbits... Hardly any around where I am.... Mixy
Go to Cornwall, there are millions there
After the intro music 🎶 i fancied a Lamb Madras.
Or stepped out of the lift on the wrong floor 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for listening 👍
Very good old chap 🤓
Well to be fair it does look a good bit of kit Dave hopefully you will be able to get some daytime footage while you have it. Doesn't sound like there are too many negatives with it.
Hopefully you’ll get one chap, but as I said yesterday, I’ve got a video meeting on Friday with them, and I’ll pass on your details 👍👍

Cheers Pete, one stop shop mate eh 👍
@@predatorprotectionuk yeah looks like it and all under a grand 🤔
@petetheratman
That’s pocket change for you 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@predatorprotectionuk yeah yeah have to buy another gun to put it on 🤔🙄
@petetheratman
And ! Your point is 🤷🏼♂️🤣🤣🤣
Nice one mate 👍. 🤙🦊
I’ll get it on squirrels soon chum

That’s why I give a link to the supplier who has lent me a unit.
£999 though if you can’t look at the description 👍
Great review and shooting! Question, do you have two separate height over bore measurements for the ballistics app then if separate zeroing?
Yes I’m sure you will chap, as the day/night scope is a bit higher.

@@predatorprotectionuk Cool stuff, yes may have to get along to that, haven't been to any shooting shows yet. 👍
@@predatorprotectionuk Did they give rough timing for those? Id love to get one but want to make sure it wouldnt be too much of a wait.
@15survivalman
I’d suggest you go the shooting show in February chap, they might have some information there

@predatorprotectionuk there is no option to turn bluetooth on, bluetooth should be in connections next to wifi.think have got a faulty unit

Didn't yours come with 2 batteries and a charger. It should of..
