I read a book one time back in the early to mid eighties I’m guessing, anyway the title was Calling Coyotes and other Predators by Rick Jameson. If I recall correctly, I know it’s only been nearly 40 years and I only read it once, a coyote could hear a noise from a range of one mile and have the noise pinpoint to within three feet. At 100 yards I think it said the coyote had it narrowed down to 6 inches! Now I might be off by a little on those distances but I’m pretty sure it’s very close!
For the people who are confused how he gets two kills with one shot. He is using a double barrel airsoft gun. Its very quiet and a good marksman can get two hits with one trigger pull. This guy is very skilled!

I'm in awe of this amazing night vision technology, and the skilled shooter. For someone who grew up in the country, I have no qualms about protecting livestock. Subscribed!
Technically not nightvision. It's thermal vision, so things that emit thermal radiation (like a person's body releasing heat) will show up brightly on screen while things that don't emit thermal radiation appear darkened. Which is why the cows and coyotes stick out as a bright white color compared to the field, shrubs, fencing etc around them. You can also use these during the day time whereas nightvision is completely unusable during the day as it over-brightens everything to the point where you're just looking at a bright blurry screen
Many years ago when I lived in Canada I had a house in a rural area which backed on to a farm. The farmhouse was about 500 m away. The farmer raised cattle. In the same field he had a donkey and a mule. They were quite effective against coyotes. Even so, I often heard coyotes coming out of the forest near my home. I would phone the farmer, even in the middle of the night, to tell him there were coyotes on the prowl. Shortly after there would be bang-bang from the farm.
Donkeys & mules bond with the herd and protect them. Donkeys have been known to kill wild boars, coyotes, wolfs, and bobcats. They are not be messed with. However, 65 coyotes would be overwhelming for 1 or 2 donkeys.
About 25 years ago, my uncle, who is a sheep farmer, started having predation by coyotes on his flock. He reported it to the state, and they sent out some hunters. They flew a 10 square mile radius around his farm and killed 300 coyotes by plane. They used a low flying plane and chased down the coyotes using shotguns.

No one seems to have brought up the fact that 65 are a crazy number of apex predators over a somewhat small area. Where I live hunting is based on number of animals in a certain area and how many an area are able to sustain, naturally. Animals should not have to suffer, but for you nature huggers out there. Nature is cruel and high numbers of any animal lead to disease and that is not a pretty sight.
Who are we to decide "too many" ? if nature balances large populations with disease and starvation, than let them starve and die from disease. Im all for protecting your cows and hunting deer and water foal.. but dont act like youre doing nature a service by hunting something you have no plans on consuming..because those animals used to eat bison and buffalo that roamed americas farmland we killed all of them completely and replaced them with controlled herds of an identical animal that only were allowed to eat. I lived on a Ranch in Georgia back in 93-95' back when I was 13-15 years of age, I was a pretty small kid maybe 115lbs soaking wet. This Ranch had a lot of Black Angus cattle and they would sometimes become victims of Coyotes. Anyway, one day a buddy and I decided to go camping back in the woods at this Ranch. We pitched a tent, had a fire going and eventually went back into the tent to sleep. My buddy feel asleep pretty fast, I on the other hand stayed awake and endured a pretty horrendous night due to a pack of Coyotes right outside our campsite. At the time being only 13 year of age (maybe 115lbs max.) I was scared shitless.. I thought any moment those Coyotes would tear our tent down and proceed to attack us. I didn't wake up my friend just endured the living nightmare myself. The Coyotes eventually took off but they were there for hours and I've never forgot that night. Anyway, a one shot kill is the most humane way to take care of this problem. It's can be hard to watch as we humans generally have such a close relationship with dogs (I have a ~ 10lb Long-haired Chihuahua (Micky) whom I love to death) but you got to do what you got to do when they are killing your livestock.
I had a similar thing happen in Alabama. Went camping on a friends property. There was a bad storm coming and we could hear the coyotes howling then eventually coming to the campsite. The wind knocked the tents over eventually. With my friend being injured before the trip, he gave me his gun and asked me to fix the tents. First time holding a gun too. If it wasnt for the hot women that were with us on this trip, i probably would have shat myself lol. Man that storm hit hard too, making the thought of coyotes and bears much harsher everytime the tent swayed lol.

Technically not nightvision. Which is why the cows and coyotes stick out as a bright white color compared to the field, shrubs, fencing etc around them. Being protected? Until they’re shipped off to slaughter. The farmer is just doing his job protecting his property but the disconnect of people believing these animals are being saved when they’re all going to end up being n the slaughterhouse floor
Se encierran las vacas por la noche en un edificio y no tienes que asesinar a fauna salvaje... Horrible crueldad humana, innecesario.

I find It funny how there's a lot of negative comments in here even though they are overpopulated pests in my area and can wipe out local ecosystems. Before people run their mouths, do a little research. This is the most humane and efficient way to deal with them. Judging by the shots, this guy is very skilled with a rifle giving quick kill shots in the vitals.
All the negative comments are hilarious. They are the same people that call for help when they get a snake in the yard. Lol

@@denm6893 A snake never bites unless provoked. Some fools think that killing a poisonous snake gives them a feeling of power and think that they control the ecosystem.

I like the fact that you wait for a good kill shot instead of just spray and pray. I used to live in farm country and the farmers all said they don't like having to kill them but its a necessary part of farm life. that's why not everyone can be a farmer. there's things that happen on a farm that's straight out of a horror film. i wish i could unsee some of it.
Can you share or no?
Don’t run a farm, but grew up and live on a ranch in the country, hunt and have had various animals in my life , and all I can is Yes.
Ya clearly not enjoying this at all...."That was violent!" like he came in his Dickies at that moment. I've lived in ranch country my entire life. Y'all sorry AF
@@josecarrillo3151 one of them was the aftermath of a cow getting in a fight with a barbed wire fence in the middle of the night. not something a kid should see on his way to school. at 57 it still stands out in my mind. farms are mud, blood and poop 24/7 and a vet on speed dial. its not for everyone but if you grew up with it its just everyday life.

.. Remember he's on our Side. 🦉. Those coyotes are everywhere it seems.

You are performing a public service. Especially for the farmers I'm sure they appreciate it 🇺🇸 keep up the good work 🇺🇸
I was expecting a different response to this but I’m surprised we still have people living in the real world . It is sad but a necessity no farmer wants to lose livestock this way thank god we don’t have coyotes in my country
Stop eating meat! Problem solved. That’s inhumane and disgusting. People have dogs that are raised with the livestock. They can be used too.
If he has the money to get thermal vision, then he has the money for other things like better fences, a guard dog, etc. Don't excuse this act. The fact that these many wolves/coyotes popped up shows how no effort was put into better fence security. This guy enjoys harming animals for fun.
Sounds like someone doesn't know how cattle fences work you can't make them too high because you still got to let wild animals through them you can't just put them up like at a zoo because your fences are regulated by law
Just build walls, you like building walls over there.

There are many whose lives are so detached from reality that they no longer understand survival. All food from grains to veggies to fruit requires killing something.
This farmer is humain in the way he protects his stock. 👍👍👍
Not really, the cattle were already dead, he could have trapped him ect, it's the fact that he shot them before they killed the cattle that makes all the difference, remember killing animals is a sin if not needs for survival, this is no different
Why not build a stall with that money?

Funny you say that since the majority of the worlds crops and land go to all the farmed animals that only feed well-developed countries. Theres enough sience that proves how unsustainable mass and industrial farming is.
Fence line?? Have you ever seen a cow pasture? The barbed wire keeps large animals inside the fence line but it doesn't keep small animals out you'd have to put up a wall around the entire pasture, and there go your profits as a farmer. He's just protecting his livestock, his livelihood. Technically it's part of his job.
Just get a high frequency pitch tool and it will stay away from the pitch no killing kind to stock kind to predators they in their natural habitats ranches just infringe on animals and land just like they round up slaughter mustangs mustangs have right to land too again in the end it’s humans that slaughter kill over and over I pray beef gets so high no one buys it or stop eating meat we were never meant to be eating meat anyways
